We had a really great day, visiting the museum today! The dinosaurs were really cool, although we did expect to see a little more than we did. The kids activities are phenomenal as well as the parks and play areas. It’s totally for all ages and so well-maintained. The elevator was broken and they had us use the freak one and that was totally a disaster though. I ended up one arming our single stroller while holding my 11 month old and dragging my other two kids behind me because the freight took so long to walk to & wait for it to come down. All the employees we encountered were super nice, and that has been pretty rare for us to encounter here in Atlanta on our trip. Gift shop was cool, food was good & honestly priced really well. Yes, I would say definitely let people know more about the time of the movies starting and have some more employees walk around when you need help finding some thing. Other than that it was an incredible experience.

This was the first time I have visited in roughly 25 years. Some of the information is rather dated but still interesting. The temporary exhibits are excellent for families. Highly interactive and fun for children. The outdoor section is an excellent addition and I hope to return on a warmer day.

Very cool place. Fernbank was one of the attractions chosen to go with the City pass. My expectations weren't high but I was surprised! The place has several rooms with very interesting attractions, such as the beginning of life on earth, prehistoric and current artifacts, dinosaurs, and scientific experiments applied to everyday life. There is lots of fun for children both inside and outside the building. I recommend!

We were most impressed by the huge theater. We missed the 3D show but the 2D show was pretty impressive. The next best things were the dianasour skeletons and statues. Other exhibits were good as well.

It was drizzling the day we visited but still went around the outdoor walkways with interesting art work and nature information. Had it been a clear day we would have spent more time outdoors. It also includes a kids rope bridge and maze.

The kids indoor play area was pretty engaging too... The food court cafe has decent options. There were ample parking spaces available along with a dedicated drop off area.

We went to AGLOW. It’s very unique and I felt like I was in a fairy forest. I never thought that different countries hang different/ cultural ornaments/ items on Christmas tree. Very nice touch on different cultures on Winter wonderland even. Kids will love this definitely.

We were gifted a membership for this for Christmas and our boys have absolutely loved it! The museum is great, they love that you get to watch one of the presentations on the big screen, and they love the outdoor component as well. It's a great place to take kids, especially on the rainy day when you can't go outside!

Went here for the Wildwoods Aglow + Christmas tree exhibits in December. Super worth it for the price. Amazing outdoor light features in a self-paced walkthrough format & a short documentary (about fungi, in our case) that comes with the ticket.
The Christmas tree exhibit was really interesting and cool.
My only complaint was that some groups of people in the Aglow part were really loud despite the experience being intended as a quiet sensory one. Thankfully, it wasn’t super busy, so it was easy to wait for louder groups to pass.
We will definitely return here for future exhibits when we’re in the area!

We celebrated our three-year-old's birthday here, and it was a total hit! The hands-on experiences and exhibits kept our little one entertained for hours. The staff were super helpful and nice, too. A perfect place to let the kiddos run wild and learn at the same time!

For two years old kids to eighty years plus elders, this wonderful museum has a lot to offer ...... for enjoyment, for learning, for acquiring knowledge in the areas of science, history, and anthropology. Provides an amazing platform to children to learn with experiments .... in fact, they are good for any age, provided one is wanting to learn.

My three years old granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed... so did I and my entire family, and each one of us had learned something new as we came out of this beautiful museum.

I think the entry ticket is very high... many, though wanting to visit, may not be able to afford it. A lower priced ticket would make it accessible to many more..... Just an honest suggestion.

A must visit.

Beautiful nature preserve lots of ground to cover. Plan ahead 2 hours if you want to cover everything. Well placed sculptures throughout forest. Our walk throughout forest was fun, told ghost stories, playful game of killing Fernbank zombies..
3D Movie ok.
Small playground, tree house and waterfall very comforting on a hot sunny day after nature walk.

Fernbank Museum is a special place with dinosaur fossils and detail information about natural history. Also, its playgroud is very special for children, with tree houses and games. The other nice thing about it is the garden and playground for children, it is very ceative and funny for them. It was a nice visiting for me and my daughter.

So, so glad we decided to visit on our Atlanta trip! First time here, and I'm already excited to go back. We were lucky enough to be able to visit during one of their specialty events: Wild Woods Aglow.

WildLife Aglow at Fernbank in Atlanta is a mesmerizing outdoor exhibit that left me and my cousin in awe. The complex and detailed symphony of lights and sounds created a magical atmosphere, evoking beautiful memories as I strolled through the enchanting night. A wonderful experience that truly captivates the senses--highly recommended for all ages.

I went for Wildwoods AGLOW and it was a phenomenal nighttime experience with mocktails and a fantastic spider exhibit - overall a beautifully designed interactive experience that, based on how many kids were running around, is fun for the whole family.

WildWoods: AGLOW at Fernbank Museum, definitely lived up to its hype and well worth the 90-minute drive to Atlanta. It was drizzling rain, but it added to the ambiance of it all. We walked through its interactive glowing forest after dark, enveloped with diverse sounds of the forests, meditative tones and radiating glowing lights that followed through with every step and action. My pictures and clips do not do it justice. It was an extraordinary way to finish up Ella's birthday weekend!

Forest a glow was awesome! Beat expectations. Be prepared to take your time. Fernand is a large facility. Lots of stairs and walking. Don't pass the neon mushroom garden. It's epic.

It was expensive to get in… even for what it offered. It was very nice and very well laid out. The traveling Exhibits that were there did not interest me but I’m not rating this place badly because of the content. This place is spectacular.
