Their burgers actually have real meat instead of the oatmeal patties. They were awesome and the BBQ is great too. They also have supper footlong hotdogs

Hands down the best burger I’ve had since I can remember. I’ve traveled to many places both locally and across the USA. The flavor of these burgers is the best. The quality of beef is the best. And when you add bacon, man does it make it taste even better! Thank you for this…. Really.

This is an old dive from the 50s. One of those little hole in the wall gems 💎 I live this place. The burgers are HUGE and they're cooked to order. They make their own patties, no frozen mess here. They have onion rings, corn dogs, corn nuggets, fried pickles, fries, tater tots. They have BBQ, burgers and more. If you haven't checked them out, what are you waiting for?!

Yes, I did give it a fifth star. Bar-B-Que Hut is about as 'down home' as it gets. There are no frills - no air conditioned seating, no big plastic pig out front, no playground for the kiddies. It's on one side of a gas station parking lot (or maybe the gas station is on one side of the bbq parking lot). There are picnic tables to sit at, some of them shaded. You order at the window and pick up when your number is called. The bbq sandwiches are very good, come with slaw on them, most of the sides are crispy and deep fried, and the price is about the same as a fast food quarter pounder.
The last time I ate at the Hut was probably 15 years ago, and basically nothing has changed - same lady behind the window, same great food. Hopefully it's still there in another 15 years!

After a day on the Blue Ridge Parkway, I came down the mountain into Marion. While filling up with gas before getting on the highway back to Charlotte, I noticed the crowd at the Bar-B-Que Hut and thought to myself with a crowd like that it has to be good. So I ordered a couple of BBQ sandwiches with slaw and enjoyed 1 before hitting the road. As a lover of eastern NC style BBQ I wasn’t even thinking about being in western NC and the difference in the sauce. The BBQ here is so good that now I prefer BBQ from here only. Matter of fact yesterday I was in Asheville and made the stop off I40 for a sandwich and a pound to bring home!! Do yourself a favor and stop by for their delicious BBQ. You’ll be glad you did!! Thanks to everyone here and I’ll definitely see you again my next time through!!!

Love this place. Best footlong hotdog around, and the hut burger. Ate here all my life. Call your order in tho. they stay pretty busy.

This small BBQ restaurant is located right next to a gas station right off the highway. It is very easy to find on Google maps and there are a few parking spaces in the lot. You may drive by this spot thinking it is a run down shack, but that is not the case, it is quite nice!

The restaurant is often packed outside with folks waiting for orders to be called. They have quite a lot of options on their menu from BBQ to chicken sandwiches, chili fries and more. You order at the window and wait for your number to be called on the loud speaker. The food is pretty good and the size portions are decent for the price. We had the BBQ sandwich chili fries and chicken sandwich, all quite tasty.

Overall I would definitely go back to this restaurant for some more tasty BBQ in the future.

This small place has such a great history for serving up the best bbq, burgers, chicken, and fries in McDowell County. You've got to stop and give this place a try.

As a local I’ve eaten at “the Hut” for years. The food is consistently good never disappointing. Good Southern food.

Great little place to get food when going on an adventure. Burgers are huge and taste like a burger and the tots are crunchy! Service is always friendly and fast!

This is the only place I've found that has burgers big enough to satisfy my sons hunger. Lol not kidding AND they are delicious on top of that. Its rare you find BOTH. I've never even tried the bbq. The burgers are so good I want ghem

I've been coming to the Bar-B-Que Hut for as long as I can remember, and that's a long time. We have always had good food and good service here. I recently had some friends come up from Orlando and treated them here. They absolutely loved it. This is also one of a few food places I recommend to anybody visiting Marion. This place is truly a hidden gem for our little town and I am very grateful it's still around!
