Sonny Donuts

I am a donut connoisseur and I've tried almost every different type of donut from luxury donut shops to hole in the wall donut shops, and these donuts are so good! They are perfectly cooked too sweet not too doughy... just right! The cronut was top tier along with the apple fritter, chocolate covered old fashion and everything else was so good!

What a fantastic place to eat donuts, get fresh coffee, and the sweetest customer service in a donut shop ever:-) the donuts are light and perfectly balanced the dough has consistency and is not just air. The glaze is not dripping off everything but is covered. The cinnamon roll has real cinnamon rolled into it and not just over it:-) Perfect for a morning with the little person I love so much :-) we also took 2 dozen donuts home! The atmosphere is sweet:-) great music, calm and family oriented! Our new favorite place to get a great donut cup coffee.

So glad I stopped by, this place has the best doughnuts in McKinney. The store is clean, well stocked, and great customer service.

I am originally from McKinney, and after reading the 1-star review here, I just wanted to say that I primarily visit my family off Meandering Way just so that I have a good excuse to get on a plane and fly all the way across the country just so I can get up early enough to make it in time before the donuts are gone. And I rave about your place to my closest friends. And I have been doing so for 🤔 20 years. So if someone ever thinks you do not make *the best* donuts in the world, please send them to Dunkin' where they belong, 🫶.

Always friendly, with great service. The donuts are always soft and taste great.

I judge donut shops based on their basic glazed donut. If you cant get that right, you need to close your shop. This place is excellent. If you are particular about this kind of thing (and I’m guessing you are since you’re reading this) trust me this is the best glazed donut in Mckinney.

My first time getting donuts here and they were awesome! I kid you not people were literally racing each other to get inside to be the next UN line. I could barely back out to leave because there was so many people pulling in. The owner was so nice and the donuts were delicious and still warm when I got home. Win-win for me.

Received a warm greeting & super friendly service @ 10AM on a Saturday. They still had a good selection of donuts and we were able to try the kolaches which had great, soft breading. The maple filled, apple fritter, blueberry glaze and donut holes were wonderful.

Literally The best mini croissant kolaches I have had, ANYWHERE! They're amazing! I have tried tons at different places....The donuts here are just as tasty. Everyone is always very friendly, and the kids love the decorations as well.

The people behind the counter are very friendly and my grandkids love their donut holes. They're kolaches are excellent too!

I've been coming here for at least a couple decades. They're a staple of McKinney in my opinion! If you bring your kids inside, tell them to look for the Spiderman.

Checking in on 11/14/2020. It’s a great donut shop with super nice people and the softest glazed donuts I’ve had (I’d say better than Krispy Kreme since it’s made with love I’m guessing haha). Would recommend grabbing at least a couple glazed donuts and a sausage roll and see for yourself! 10 out of 10 would recommend and would continue to come back for those soft, pillowy glazed donuts any day!

The workers are very friendly. They made a fantastic box of donuts for my daughter’s birthday (see photo). I highly recommend this hidden gem!
