Docks Seafood

Such a quaint place. Went there for lunch on a Google Map search as we had no idea where to eat. We were happily surprised with great food and a very welcoming owner and staff. It was a little pricy for lunch, but it was worth it.

We were here 5 years ago. It felt nostalgic when we stumbled upon the same restaurant again by chance! The food is still tasty. The service is still great.

This restaurant is off the beaten path. So it’s not touristy rather it feels where the locals enjoy their seafood.

We ordered the lobster rolls (doh..) the haddock Ruben and the haddock tacos. For starters we got the steamer and the muscles. The muscles are so plum and juicy! Absolutely amazing.

This was recommended by a friend of mine Dietrich. There was a ship in town so we a (Romanian, a Finnish, a Ukrainian) all went to see what Dietrich raved about. We all tried the lobster pairs. Simply outstanding, by every national standard it was the best. The French Fries were some of the best I have ever eaten, the chef came out and told us how he blanched the fries, then it was carrot cake time. Another outstanding addition to a great meal. It could only be topped by our prefer waitress Carolina.

Really good food and service. Nothing fancy about the place. No fancy plates or plating. Just really good seafood on a metal platter. Definitely worth stopping in. Seafood stew was awesome as was the clam chowder. Large portions.

As you can see, we loved our meals! I had salmon and it was done perfectly. My husband had a grilled seafood platter...excellent! The wait staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. We were very pleased with Docks Seafood.👍🏻👍🏻

Service was amazing! We were a party of 15 and there was only one waitress; all our meals came out together and quickly. Service was friendly and cheerful. Definitely would go back.

Great food and service. We had fried scallops, calamari, haddock, fish/chips, and a burger.

Scallops were seared, very soft on the inside and super delicious. The haddock from the fish and chips tasted very fresh and not fishy. The burger was cooked medium to our liking. Coleslaw was crispy and fresh not runny or soggy.

Cynthia was very friendly taking our order and waiting tables. Food and drinks came out timely.

Everything was very good. Highly recommend Docks Seafood.

Great, friendly service and excellent food!!! Highly recommend this place! We had steamers, crab stuffed portobello mushrooms, and a lobster roll with fries and were very pleased with all!

This is the place who made me fell in love of lobsters. My first taste of their lobsters was unforgettable. It was so fresh that it felt like butter and melt in my mouth. It was the best dining experience I have for lobsters. I would love to come back if distance wasn’t the issue. I definitely recommend to try this restaurant when you are in South Portland.

We travel in an RV so parking is key. Easy enough to park both small and large RV's unlike the Portland downtown venues. Super friendly service on our visit. Wide variety of fresh seafood. Everything was wonderful. Seems to attract a very loyal local crowd. Don't come for the ambiance, just for the food.

Best haddock reuben I've had. Chowder was delicious and my picky daughter loved the mac 'n cheese. The service was great, Janessa was really good. I'm glad I chose this place when I googled "fried seafood near me" while visiting Portland. I'll be back.

Fisherman’s platter got a light crispy breading along with refreshing coleslaw not heavily covered in just mayonnaise. Seafood Alfredo tasted more like seafood mac & cheese, but every bite was fresh and well cooked. I was at first hesitant to try deep fried seafood and pasta dish as they tend to be just heavy on seasoning and thick breading, but I was wrong on that. Very satisfying and loved the outdoor dining experience. Friendly staff and good service were definitely a big plus too!

Fantastic! After a long day of traveling we were excited to try a local spot after visiting the light house for sunset. Docks did not disappoint! We shared the haddock and lobster mac and cheese. The haddock was lightly breaded and perfectly cooked. The homemade tartar sauce is delicious! We both loved the mac and cheese; lobster is caught that day and the sauce had a very cheesy nutty flavor. Don’t pass them by!

A few days ago, my teenage son and I ate at Docks Seafood for a late lunch. We were thoroughly pleased with our entire experience and had to share!

I ordered the haddock sandwich and fries. Yum! Yum! My son ordered the haddock nuggets and fries. We both loved our meals. Everything came out fresh, flavorful and hot. I ate every single thing on my plate. The piece of haddock was huge and served on a lightly toasted bun. It was pure bliss. Their homemade tarter sauce goes perfectly with their seafood. I just couldn't stop eating their french fries. They were perfectly salted.

My son loved his haddock nuggets. It's always great to see him eat food that he loves. Our waitress was awesome and she was heavily rewarded for all her awesomeness.

We can't wait to go back to Docks Seafood. We left with a baked item for dessert because we were too full from our meal to eat anymore. It was a whoopie pie. Soooo good!

Also, the owner came to our table to talk to us and he was super sweet. 👌

Friendly and courteous staff. Very relaxed atmosphere. They close pretty early on weekdays at 7:00 PM and weekends until 8:00 PM. Came there about one hour before closing time for dine in and was able to get out on time, was worried I might have to order to go. Food came out pretty quick and delicious.

Had seafood platters so fresh and cooked to perfection. They even accommodated my dogs meal of grilled chicken. Great place.

Just passing tru saw this gem and decided to try Absolutely delicious ‼their Caesar salad is so so good I had a platter alongside lobster Mac an cheese it was so creamy an d a good serving of lobster on top,portions are great too,excellent service docks owes me nothing whenever I’m in Maine I’d def be back
