Broadway Variety

Flew in from Long Island and was lucky enough to stumble across the Variety. They had everything we were looking for, snacks, beer, wine, liquor, you name it they got it, I asked what I assume to either be the owner or the manager if they sell coozies, they didn't. But he was super nice and gave me two promos he had in the back on the arm, the girls that work there are super nice as well 👍

Best of the best!! Great convenience, well staffed, and stocked. Groceries. Cigarettes, and liquor.

The store is very nice, the staff are really friendly and courteous. Haven't tried the sandwiches yet, will do so next visit.
I verified that the owners will not be opening another location in Westbrook, that's disappointing but understandable. Staffing is rough for any business owner. Easy to park there, happy to have them in the area, and I enjoy the friendly service they provide. 😎

I live in Scarborough, but don’t mind the drive over to Broadway Variety. They have fair pricing on products, the employees are friendly most of the time, and their food isn’t too bad either. I love the “old-skool” variety store vibe. Sure beats the chain convenience stores that are solely operating for profit on over-priced items.

Just moved to south Portland, and I am very very impressed with this store! Everyone who works there is super nice, they have everything you need, and the sandwiches are awesome! We got the cheeseburger sub and chicken salad sandwich, and they were to die for! The kitchen ladies were the nicest people too. Thank you!

The hot food is great. One of the best sandwiches I've had in a while.

This place is just awesome. The people are awesome, their products are exactly in line with what I need less than a block from my house. The people are kind. There's this one cashier that's so gorgeous, it's worth the walk in the rain just to hear her say "hello".

From March through October my husband and I stop here after church to pick up sandwiches to eat while sitting by the ocean. This has been our habit for almost four years. They stayed open while many variety stores closed or limited opening hours due to the pandemic or lack of workers. They offer a good variety of sandwiches including subs, hot dogs and a yummy lobster in a grilled roll. The prices are very reasonable and the workers are friendly and professional. And about the lobster roll, it is full and tastes just as good as one at a high priced restrauant. When in South Portland stop by. You'll be glad you did.

Very friendly and helpful staff. There is a good variety of hot and cold sandwich options made in-store. Staff can often make accommodations for dietary restrictions. Prices are reasonable for the area. Overall, a good place to grab a quick bite on the way to somewhere.

Employees are friendly and helpful. They have a good selection of drinks including liquor. They offer yummy hot foods during the day as well. Great location right on Broadway easy to spot when driving.

I love this place because of the friendly atmosphere. I feel like part of the family & I'm always welcomed with smiles! They are fast, efficient & safe (masks, distancing). This place is awesome!! Check out their cooking! Yum!

Broadway has been my go to store since 2012! Always great customer service, a smiling face & a like family feel. Plus they have the cheapest cigarette prices, a HUGE local beer selection, liquor, snacks AND a full kitchen!!

I just had the most amazing steak & cheese that I’ve ever had in my life from this place. I’ve prob had this exact same sandwich from about 100 different food places in my life and this was absolutely the best without a doubt. I would marry the person who made this sandwich.

Loved going here. Great variety and the staff, particularly a brunette woman, really cracked me up. Felt like your neighborhood store where everyone knows your name except I was on the outside (but not in a bad way). This isn't a huge store but they've got what you need.

I just love the people there, one day i asked for a cheeseburger in the case staying warm, I really had no problem with ketchup and mustard but the lady at the phone desk asked me if I wanted any toppings at no cost, that was very thoughtful and appreciated/ yes I will have lettuce , tomato,onions, banana peppers,olives,eggs, avocado, lol I'm exaggerating I just got L,T,O.. high 5 to Broadway variety!!

Cheapest cigarettes in Greater Portland, and the nicest cashiers! Not only service with a smile but an oddball sense of fun as well. Their sandwiches are pretty good too. If the parking lot wasn't so small I'd say add gas and I'd completely give up Irving for good!!!

Nice store with lots of variety. It's usually pretty busy but their pretty quick about things. Last time I went they even had COVID home test kits.

The absolute Besttttt in town for good pizza, subs, pleasant workers, & a 1-stop-shop for most needs. ATM & Amazon Drop off box!
