Star 66 Cafe

I know prices have gone up on everything, but the price I paid for my meal was very low for the quantity and quality of the food. There was enough that I could have shared with my wife had she been there, and we both would have been happy. I took half of it in a to-go container. The waitstaff was also very friendly. Stop in, you wont regret it. The pic is of the breakfast horseshoe. If you only think horseshoes are only on horses, then you are missing out, and you need to come here or find a diner that serves them.

A great home like feeling! Reminds my of my favorite breakfast place in Chicago. Foods great and so is the service! My pie was so good I took a bite before I took a picture.

We had breakfast and dinner here while in town. The service is great. The food is tasty too.

This was a great dining experience!! There was a slight wait, but that was okay. The food was really good, the service was fast and friendly, and the prices very reasonable! My wife and I went in for breakfast. She had the cinnamon French toast and I had the Farmers skillet. Both dishes were very well prepared and had large portions. Overall, I highly recommend this place for some great comfort food at very affordable prices.

Amazing food...this is considered a truck stop but it definitely doesn't feel like one...it is a wonderful restaurant

Stopped in for breakfast. They were very busy, but that must be typical as they handled things well. I would recommend the pecan waffle. One of the few places left that warms the syrup for you.
Had I not been so stuffed, I would have tried one of the desserts. They all looked delicious.

On vacation and looking for a good place to eat. Went here because of the ratings. I did not read the reviews to realize it is in a truck stop. We decided to try it because so many others had given it a high rating. Glad we did. We had breakfast for supper and it was good. I had the Cinnamon Swirl French Toast and my husband had the Strawberry Crepes. There were many locals in the restaurant and you could tell many of them were regulars. I want to go back to try the homemade desserts. I forgot to take pictures of our food.

I can't believe I've not been to this local restaurant before. The staff was so lovely. They kept checking on my water. Very busy but still got our hot food fast and fresh. Try the cheesecake!

What a great hometown place!!! The food was great, and the service was top notch. I had crepes YUM, and my hubby had a waffle that was the best. They were extremely busy but the way the whole crew worked as a team was a great thing to see. As a former restaurant manager that says a lot!!!

My friends and I always enjoy eating at Star 66 Cafe! They get you right. We've never had to wait! Always friendly staff, they are all hardworking people. We enjoy the fried chicken and sides, and of course, the homemade pies. My faves are coconut cream and chocolate cream, so darn delicious.

My MIL is in the hospital and we wanted something other than cafeteria food. After reading the reviews we decided to try here. It is attached to a truck stop but that just means good food. We walked in to a tiny Cafe that was packed. I figured we'd have a wait. Nope got seated right away. I didn't even have my jacket off and a gentleman was there to take drink orders. The waitress came right over and asked if we had any questions I asked if they still served breakfast (this was 2pm). She said yes the whole menu is served 25/7. We looked over the menu and ordered. I got the cowboy skillet. My husband got eggs and bacon and my son got walleye. Food came out fast and hot. It was delicious. We all enjoyed our meal and the portions were good. The bill was not high at all. We ate cheaper than we did at McDonald's and the food was better. I highly recommend this Cafe. I know well be back!

Very busy Sunday morning. Operations of the staff were well coordinated. Waiting time was adequate. The servers were very helpful. The food was delicious.

Omgoodness there are not enough great things to say about this place !!! Their food is phenomenal, the service top notch, and truck parking to boot.
Try the liver and onions, or the dueling pasta !!
Get the Wisconsin Chedder cheese soup !!!
Definitely don't miss out on the cheesecake !!

Always quick service! Staff are friendly. Food has good flavor. Never had any negative experiences here. We go a few times a month.

Love the small diner feeling.Was seated by owner or manager.Then the staff was all helping each other.The food was amazing and the pie was yummy!

Absolutely wonderful. Don’t be alarmed by the location. It is clean!!! Service is wonderful and the menu has a ton of options. I ordered the steak medium. It was probably closer to medium well but not a big deal at all. Loved it.

Drivers. Walk past the subway sit down grab a quick greek omelet you'll love it

Highly recommend! Love it when you find a small cafe that has home cooked meals!! We had the reuben & beef tips. Service was excellent! They had runners clearing plates and filling water glasses, along with their wait staff. And the cheesecake....to die for!!!
