Worked with Alex Allen who was awesome through the whole process of setting up 3 separate deliveries for our September23 Wedding weekend. He is very patient, knowledgeable, helpful, and deliveries were all prompt and complete. Another awesome part is they came and picked up the extra liquor that was not used at the wedding which was great. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to have an event of any size in the area. I worked with Allen’s swine and Spirits for my June 2023 wedding. Alex was super knowledgeable about all things wine, liquor and how to stock a well rounded bar for a wedding. He took the time to discuss all the wedding related details, including location, theme, menu etc…to ensure we had everything we could need that night. He’s also super knowledgeable about wine and helped me select options that paired well with our dinner menu. We were also able to save a ton of money by working directly with them! 10/10 would recommend.

Working with Allen’s, especially Alexander, made ordering alcohol for our wedding really easy and cost effective. They were really flexible and took care of both delivery and pick-up. They even stored the extra alcohol for us until we returned from our honeymoon. We definitely recommend!

Given their relationship with Blackstone, our caterer, they made it extremely easy in terms of pickup and drop off and was truly one less thing we had to worry about.

They also were willing to buy back any bottles we didn’t open, helping us to ensure we had more than enough on hand while also being budget-conscious.

I worked with Alex to coordinate the alcohol for the bar at my Glen Manor House wedding in early November. My husband, parents and I were so happy with the service. Alex was very easy to talk to and gave good advice on crowd pleasing brands and different price point options. He was honest with us which we appreciated because wedding industry vendors can sometimes be a little shady. We came up with our own custom bar and then Alex worked with the caterers and dropped off everything before the wedding and picked up and leftovers after the wedding and then he returned anything that wasn’t open. It was the best situation and we saved so much money choosing this option. I will recommend choosing a BYOB bar option to anyone and definitely work with Allen’s Wine and Spirits! Thanks again Alex!

You NEED to choose Allen's Wine & Spirits for your next event! We used them for our rehearsal dinner and wedding, and Alex made the process so easy, fun, and stress-free (and the prices are great too!). Alex was able to get us all of our favorite wines, and helped us choose liquor and beer when we got stuck. He knows exactly what he's doing, which made our lives so much easier during the chaos of wedding planning! His quantity estimates were spot on, and Allen's even allows you to return unused bottles after the event which was a huge bonus. Delivery was perfect and on-time, and the customer service was exceptional - we even stopped into the store after the wedding to buy some wine as a gift, and Alex steered us towards some great choices. They really know their wines at Allen's.. and I love wine! The store itself has an incredible selection and many items I haven't seen anywhere else - it was hard not to buy everything in there! I used Allen's Wine and Spirits for my daughter's wedding this weekend after getting suggestions from my caterer and was extremely happy with their service. They have an extensive wine selection and provided me with excellent choices for both red and whites for us to chose from after listening to our taste preferences. I was also pleasantly surprised by the majority of the wines suggested being well below my price point. If you are concerned with ordering too much they have a unique arrangement to take back all unopened undamaged bottles, though their estimates of consumption were very accurate. Great people to work with.

Allen's Wine & Spirits catered my wedding at the Glen Manor in Portsmouth. Without having any experience planning an event of this size (around 100 people) it was hard to guess at the amount of alcohol we would need. Luckily, I head about Allen's Wine and Spirits from the venue, and they came highly recommended. I reached out to them and Alex immediately put me at ease. Not only did he work with me to figure out what the right amount of alcohol would be, he also gave me good suggestions, and flagged any special deals or savings that he could offer on a particular brand vs another. The best part, is they offer to buy back any unopened bottles from you, so that you can have a few extras and not worry about running out of booze (imagine that)!

We were coming out of state, so another big boon to us was how professionally Allen's handled all of the day-of coordination. They coordinated the drop off and pick up directly with the venue (Glen Manor) and the caterer (Russel Morin). All in all, we had a perfect experience and if you are looking to have someone cater your event, look no further!

Allen's supplied the beer and wine for our wedding and rehearshal dinner and we could not be happier with the job they did. The entire staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations that fit our price range. They even delivered and worked exclusively with our wedding venue contact, which gave us one less detail to worry about. We highly recommend Allen's for your next event, big or small!

They were great to work with. We had about 135 people. We had a limited bar. We did run out of pineapple juice in the beginning but my guest seemed to not mind granted I added that in last minute. Will definitely use them again as well as refer them.

The staff at Allen's is exceptional! We used them for our wedding and they went above and beyond! They offer a very large selection and can special order if they don't have something particular in stock. As an event planner I definitely recommend - so nice to work with and very fair prices.

I would highly recommend Allen’s Wine and Spirits for any event, large or small, that you may be having. Alex could not have been more helpful in suggesting wines and beers and amounts needed for our event as well as answering any questions we had. It was comforting to know that he was only a phone call away. He contacted us a week before our party, when we had a more accurate number of confirmed guests, and adjusted the quantities of beer and wine accordingly. At that time he also made arrangements for delivery of our order. We couldn’t be happier with the service we received. When planning an event, Alex at Allen’s Wine and Spirits is the person to contact.

If you have the option of doing your open bar by consignment, DO IT. We used Allen's Wine and Spirits to purchase the alcohol for our wedding in Portsmouth, RI on 7/15/16. I worked with Alexander Allen and it was probably the best vendor experience we had. We saved a ton of money versus paying a per person cost for an open bar. We got to choose exactly what brands we had and Alex's guidance and expertise allowed us to rest assured that we would have an adequate supply. We only needed a credit card on file, so it was nice to have one less vendor to pay before or on the day of the wedding. The final total was much less than expected as Allen's does not charge you for any unopened bottles. What is open is yours to keep. Allen's worked directly with the caterer to handle all the details. I cannot recommend Allen's and their consignment model to supply an open bar enough.
