Bowen's Wharf

9.9.23 One of the tourist traps and attractions, and rightly so, is this entire wharf, Marina, water area. Besides great views, beautiful boats, shops, restaurants, love music, people watching, you'll enjoy what Newport is all about. Great energy and great food in a beautiful area. This is a must do even if you just stroll by.

We were there on a Sat night - we didn’t have reservations but were treated very well. The hostess was helpful and pleasant. Found us a lovely corner table for two. Atmosphere was lovely - not too loud. Our waiter was professional and very polite. A real pro. Food was delicious. All in all - wonderful.

Beautiful shopping area located along the waterfront in Newport! Came on a weekday & it was calm & relaxing! Adorable shops to check out. Really beautiful area. Found a parking lot near by for a quick walk to the area.

This is a nice wharf. I went here while visiting Newport and was satisfied with my experience. This wharf has plenty of gift shops, a seafood restaurant with a view of the harbor, and an old sailing ship. I gave this wharf five stars because it has a nice ship, restaurant, and stores.

Historic and rich with the culture of the time period it is depicting. Informational and friendly atmosphere.

Right in the heart of Newport. All visitors should spend a little time down here and get a feel for newport life. Amazing food and shopping abounds, and there is usually open air dining and live entertainment in the warmer months. You can also go on several different sailing excursions from the wharf. All of which are highly recommended and an outstanding way to see the newport ocean life.

A must-stop on your visit to Newport, RI. Great places to eat and shop art galleries. There's something for everyone.

A nice place to hangout and party in the heart of Newport downtown. There a lot of happening restaurants in the area along with a lot of gifts shops. The area is known for its party restaurants. Next to the Bowen's Wharf there are a lot of other wharfs which have a similar vibe. The only issue in this place is to find a parking spot. But you can find parking in the wharf parking area (if you are lucky enough) else you can find parking across the street of the wharf in the shopping place. But a must visit !

An incredibly lively and dynamic place with a unique atmosphere. Lots of options for good food and drink (delicious oysters). Excellent views.

Vibe is amazing. There are many fine dining restaurants, fine art and boat tours. However holiday is busy, parking on the street full, public parking is pricey.

June 3rd we took the 11:30AM boat tour. The wind was not in our favor but it did not matter to us. We enjoyed the company of the boat crew and all the stories they shared. Our captain was Daren and our crew were Kate and Ben. It was definitely one of our favorite things we did while on our trip.

Stopped by for the Newport Oyster & Chowder Festival. Live music, great food, lots of people just enjoying the day. A personal highlight was the frozen lemonade. It’s perfect, not too sweet. I love walking around this area and poking my head into all the shops. It’s a popular area so plan to park and walk for a few blocks - no big deal since there’s plenty to see walking around the town.

Lively marina and fishermen’s wharf. Lots of cute little shops and restaurants. It’s touristy but still has the old town charm to it.

Lots of restaurants and bars around. You can catch several boat tours from here. The view of the marina is great with lots of boats in the summer.

Wow what a awesome place to just get lost in. All the things to see and do in this area is beyond my imagination of what I expected and then some. The amount of boats and restaurants are just mind blowing!

Best spot in Newport. If you are visiting or touring Newport. Go here, this is the hub! My opinion, the Black Pearl bar seat to the right, close to the dock is the best bar seat in ALl of Rhode Island. Sit there and experience the magic. 🪄

Bowen's Wharf in Newport, Rhode Island is an enchanting place to while away an afternoon or an evening; to enjoy a delicious meal; to do some serious shopping; to meet friends over refreshments. Perfect for out-of-town guests!

Amazing atmosphere. Gotta go once in your life otherwise you haven't lived a full life.

Always cute down here with lots of good shops and spots to eat. The decor for autumn is so cute.
