New Orleans Guest House

We just got back from celebrating my daughter's 21st in New Orleans and we chose to stay at the New Orleans guest house for the weekend. We truly enjoyed our stay, and I cannot say enough about how friendly the staff was. The beauty of this home is captivating. We had a room upstairs, and the balcony doors that they opened in the mornings gave us a fresh smile as soon as we opened our room's door. This is not your typical chain hotel, this is a stay for true, and authentic New Orleans. I hope to be back soon! Thank you guys for having us!

This place is BREATHTAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL just ABSOLUTELY STUNNINGLY GORGEOUS. It was such a a pleasure to stay here. The room was beautiful and clean. The staff was super nice and very helpful not only with the guest house but with knowledge of new Orleans and attractions. I will ALWAYS stay here for all of our future trips the New Orleans Guest House is steeped in historical beauty . Words can't express the wonderful feeling you get during your stay if I could give them a zillion stars I definitely would!!

We only stayed there one night but felt welcomed like family. I expect to stay there again when we return. The place is an old building, and if you know old houses, you know. If you expect a hotel like you stay in outside of the Iowa City airport, move on. That said, certainly a little sprucing up never hurts, and the floors were very slippery when wet (I expect too much Shimmer Floor Wax, lol). Overall, great place and bonus cats in the courtyard. Much love to everyone.

Ms. Teeshia and her staff are phenomenal, true Louisiana hospitality at its finest. My room was clean and cozy, bathroom spacious as well.
Ms. Tee is very kind and understanding, she showed me all the locations for food, gas, and entertainment personally with directions, she also made sure EVERYTIME I passed by to ask if I need anything else or had any questions.
Ms. Wendy and the rest of the staff are just as accommodating and personable. Really has a family feel when staying here from out of town.

If you are a boujie, everything needs to be new, cold, bland and soulless; if you want luxury and snobbery, then this IS NOT for you.

If you want a real NOLA experience, and to walk into 1930’s eclectic France; if you want cozy, quaint, quiet…if you want culture, authenticity and vibe then this place IS for you.

I love this place and will stay whenever I come to NOLA FQ. It’s easy to check in, and the place is clean and comfortable.

This is an older building and it shows but it has tons of character. I traveled with 2 dogs and the staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. They have a small parking lot they lock at night and an enclosed outdoor seating area. The price can't be beaten for the location and I will definitely be back.

We lucked out and got the room with the balcony. It was MAGICAL!!! The staff was friendly and sweet—they gave awesome advice for food and hot spots and places to avoid! It was an old house. It permitted the idyllic experience of traveling back in time in a classic New Orleans home where everything is within walking distance. Literally parked the first day and never needed to drive anywhere! The house is right by the beautiful Congo Square & Louis Armstrong park. We could walk to the French Quarter, French Market, Canal St., and Marigny within 30mins. Shout out to the closest local coffee shops for helping me perk up for more fun—Treme Coffeehouse and Fatma’s Cozy Corner!

This is by far my favorite hotel in all of New Orleans! This property has such a great vibe, the entire staff from the front desk clerks to the cleaners are so friendly. I’ve stayed many times in almost every room they have and have had an amazing experience every time. This hotel has super comfortable beds, a beautiful courtyard, the cleaners work so hard to make sure the rooms are perfectly cleaned, and the staff treat their guests like family. If you want to experience the true culture and vibe of New Orleans stay here, you won’t be disappointed.

This was our first time in a guest house.. it was really nice the beds were very comfortable it was walking distance to Jackson square and boardwalk and French market.. The staff was great we will definitely be returning .

Vintage, beautiful and comfy! I would recommend to anyone that wants to try something different than the typical hotel. At first I was skeptical about if it was a house or hotel from the photos prior to visiting but it's a hotel that's themed as a vintage house. Very nice ! I would come back. The only negative was inside of my closet was a door with a padlock!! and that worried me !!so I moved something heavy in front of the closet lol . Please fix that closet issue!. Other than that . I LOVED IT 💕

Front desk attendants are super nice, rooms were clean, authentic new orleans feel. Directly across from the French quarter, walking distance to everything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We felt safe and secure with 24 hour surveillance, coded entrances and locked parking area. Back patio is absolutely beautiful!!

Stayed here while visiting with my best friend. So friendly and kind. Has a home feel. Would stay again! Walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go! We felt very safe! There are cameras and a lock code!

Loved the historic feel of this 1840’s guest house. The antique furniture was gorgeous. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We loved the courtyard. Staff was super friendly. It really felt like staying in someone’s house instead of a hotel, it was great. On-site parking was secure and really cheap for New Orleans. I loved the cats on the property. We would definitely stay here again.

So far, so good. Our plane was delayed by almost 3 hours, but we were emailed a code to get in and a way to get into our room even though staff leaves earlier in the evening. Room is clean and well turned. Beautiful antique pieces. Great start to our New Orleans weekend!

Great Place to stay right next to all the action. Location is awesome, walkable distance to bourbon street and Frenchman. There is on site parking for extra which is very secure. Common areas are beautiful and has a nice courtyard to relax in. The owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating. Our room was comfortable and exactly what we needed.

I would recommend this place for travelers seeking a quiet spot with an authentic feel to it. Having visited and explored almost all of New Orleans, this feels more like an apartment than a hotel. We had an awesome stay here. Will definitely be booking again for our next trip.

Some things to note, the rooms do vary a bit in quality. Our room had very tall ceilings and was pretty with a brick wall and antique furniture, but a co-travelers room was less updated/attractive. That being said it was still clean and you can’t beat the price for the location and ambiance.

I’ve been to New Orleans many times and this was the most authentic hotel I’ve stayed at. I really felt like I was family bc the staff made us feel so comfortable.

4. Loved the gated parking lot.
5. Loved the historic decor.
6. Great location with only 4 blocks to bourbon st.

I loved it!!! So helpful and friendly! Cleanest room out there! I would stay again and again and I will go back when I have longer to enjoy the city!!! I love the authenticity of this hotel! Was amazing. Can not say enough good things about this place!

It was a 4block walk to Bourbon street, so very convenient! The house and courtyard were historic and charming. Home and rooms were clean and quiet. Will definitely want to stay again on another visit! Our host were very friendly and accommodating! I hope to meet in person next time. A common area coffee/tea station would be my only suggestion for anything to be better. It was a wonderful visit!

Stayed here about 6 months ago. Got in a jam and couldn't of found a better place to stay for a few days. The husband and wife running the place are the best. They took good care of me and my dog. I wish I could give 10 stars.

Eclectic! They gave us exceptional service and let me a detailed email since they knew we were arriving very late. Fresh coffee in the morning. We slept in room two which was only an issue in the mornings since it sits near the front desk .
