Marina Inn & Suites Chalmette-New Orleans

We visited New Orleans for a anniversary weekend getaway and stayed here. It's just outside the city and was absolutely perfect for us. The King executive suite was just like the picture. The room was very large. The bed was so comfortable. The mattress felt new. Mini fridge was clean, there was a coffee pot, hairdryer, Tv, couch, table for 2, and microwave as well. Our room faced the pool and parking lot. And the parking lot faced a marina. Gorgeous views of the water. It was super quiet all weekend. Very peaceful. We did not want to get out of the bed Sunday morning! There is a standing shower seprarate from a deep soaking spa tub with jets. I highly recommend this place. And a plus, there is a little Cafe attached to the hotel. It was delicious. There is also a gas station and small casino with slot machines in the adjacent parking lot, which we visited both of those as well. Staff was super friendly. This was a very pleasant stay. We will absolutely book here again when visiting the big easy.

First of all, the customer service there is the best! I didn’t get all of their names but Susan and Christy are so warm and friendly. Me and my husband were always greeted with a smile. We were there for Mardi Gras, so traffic was pretty busy but the Marina Inn was quiet, comfy and affordable. We had the most comfortable king size bed, too. We didn’t partake, but they had complimentary coffee and pastries in the front lobby. Best part is, there’s a restaurant connected to the hotel called Cajun Country Kitchen (I think that’s the name) and their food is superb. Overall, we’re definitely going back!!

Very clean, affordable hotel. Friendly staff, quiet and comfortable. Easy to get to, once you get off the interstate it’s located on Paris Rd. I stay here time to time, do to various of reasons. Always have outstanding service, rooms are well kept. If you need anything extra, the host will send it up without any hesitation. Highly recommend checking out.

This Is A Nice Place To Stay. The Owner Is Super Duper Nice. I've Stayed Here So Many Times And Was Satisfied. We Had A Situation But The Owner Made Sure We Were Straight.

I absolutely loved my stay right on the water. The staff was great and our room was huge! I will definitely be back! 🩷 the restaurant connected to it was amazing and a good price too!

I visited on Feb 4, 2024 I was greeted by the warmest front staff employee ever by the name of Susan she warm inviting and very attentive to my needs I has some issues with Priceline and she immediately intervene to assist my matter I enjoyed my stay and will be back because of her….

Place was very clean! Staff was super nice and knew us by name and greeted us daily! Also provided good recommendations for food and tourist destinations! Very affordable price and great location with own marina!

This is a local woman owned hotel. Amenities are as good or better than chain hotels. They knew my name and greeted me warmly every day. The pool was crystal clear, the property was clean and well cared for. I will be back! We have to support local businesses, especially ones as good as this!

It was a nice vacation day the service was wonderful and the kitchen was amazing great food. It's a must to revisit again.

It was amazing! The staff was so nice, super friendly, and very accommodating. They treated my son like their own and always looked out for him. Rooms were very clean easy access to washer and dryers. The location was very safe and everything was close by to get to. I recommend anyone to stay here! Mrs Susan went above and beyond her job and so did the rest of the staff!!

I recently Stayed several days at Marina Inn & Suites, and have to say the folks working there were very friendly, efficient, and went out of their way to make you feel welcome. They not only have regular rooms, but they have suites with a kitchen available, free Internet, dish tv, a laundry room, and a nice swimming pool. I took my grandson there so we could fish right off a pier they have on-site. It is only 7 miles or so from downtown New Orleans, and right off I-510 coming from the east. There is a boat launch just behind their facility and bait shops nearby. There is an on-site food place, as well as restaurants within a mile of the hotel. I will definitely visit there again....August 2023

This is the second time me and my family stayed here over the last 2 years. Both times we were in Chalmette for a baseball tournament. The first time was perfect. We stayed in a double bed room. We had no issues. The staff was great. Rooms were nice. We felt safe. No complaints.

I expected nothing less the second time around. But it actually was even better! I booked through a 3rd party. I saw that there was an option for a suite with a living area and small kitchen. A little more room for my family might be nice. So I figured go for it, and if I don't get it, then no biggie.

So a few days after I booked, a woman from Marina Inn called to confirm my reservation and ask some questions. She told me straight up that the suite was not available due to some plumbing issues. Like I said, no biggie. I knew they only had a couple of suites and I know 3rd party sites are not always the best at knowing what is available. The nice woman did say if it was repaired before our reservation, it would be ours. To be honest the thought crossed my mind that it was an excuse, but didn't matter either way to me.

5 days before our trip I called one more time just confirm everything. The nice lady said yes we are good to go. I asked about the suite and she said unfortunately it was not finished. Oh well it was worth a shot.

We show up our first day and I go to check in. The same woman is there from last year! Never got her name but she is very sweet! She gives me our room number and we go check it out. You already know where this is going but we walk in and it's the suite!!! Me and my whole family were all smiles! I have no idea how or why it happened. But to whomever is responsible, whether front desk or maintenance, thank you thank you thank you!! From the bottom of my heart! You started our vacation/baseball off with a bang!

In response to some of the other comments, yes this hotel is older and is not as "nice" as others hotels. Goodness i am sure it has been through alot. A few hurricanes and floods for sure. Me and my family live a simple life. We don't need much and have never had much money. This place has everything we need/want and more. Comfy bed, air conditioning, shower and a nice pool as a bonus. And it is half the price of other hotels in the area!!

So needless to say me and my family 100 percent recommend Marina Inn and Suites. If you are used to and expect all the bells and whistles, it may not be for you. But if you looking for a nice and comfortable place to lay your head with and excellent staff, give them a shot.

Nice place..restaurant on site is amazing!! Beds super comfortable..only I bad thing was anytime leaving the place was a pain in the butt do to traffic..overall definitely would stay again!! Also had some camen swimming off the pier next door..pretty cool for the kids!

I really appreciate the way this hotel runs its business when it comes to holding their reservations. I originally had a reservation at a hotel down the street only to arrive exhausted at 1am just to be told my reservation was canceled. My family and I quickly called Marina Inn and thank goodness they had a room available and I found out they don't try to charge an authorization hold...they KEEP their reservations! Upon checking in, the front staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and halls were quiet. I'm so thankful! I would definitely book them again next time around.

We stayed here during a baseball tournament. Susan checked us in and was so friendly and welcoming. The suite was very spacious and the cleaning staff was very pleasant. The motel itself was very quiet and peaceful. Perfect place to relax and nap in between games. Upon check out, Susan was there was there again with a friendly smile and even asked us how the game was. Would absolutely stay here again.
