Excellent food, especially the macaroni salad and banh mi. The staff was so friendly and kind. Love this place and will always come back!

The veggie sandwich is my wife's favorite in the city. I've had 6 different sandwiches here and every single one has been exceptional.

Anytime there's a disc golf tournament that I'm playing in, this is my go-to place to grab a bite to eat in between rounds.

The owners are super friendly and their youngest daughter is adorable! It happened to be her birthday during our last visit and she did a great job taking orders during rush hour.

They have excellent desserts as well and have a bakery next door. The place has a lot of unique touches that makes this dining experience one of a kind.

The turkey was incredible! The roll for the sandwiches are made from scratch right next door from the bakery.

Staff was super nice as well and the place was clean. Love it!

Amazing restaurant and a true treasure in Universal City, Texas. All the locals know about this wonderful restaurant and I was finally able to stop in and try their food today. I had the tuna sandwich, chips and water. Just a wonderful meal and the hospitality and friendliness of the staff made the experience of dining here on that I will repeat often in the future. Highly recommend this place!

So yummy! Love this casual sandwich shop. Today I had the turkey sandwich and it was delicious. The bread is made in house, amazing. Today was split pea soup, it was perfect. I always get a desert because they specialize in that too! The cheese cake was dense and perfect.

Yess please!! Go veggie go! The veggie sandwich here is amazing! Was a little hesitant at first with the description showing Havarti cheese, carrot slaw, ginger chili sauce, baby spinach and avocado I wasn't sure what to expect.

The wait is over....expect greatness! The flavors blend beautifully and the homemade roll snuggles the ingredients perfectly. I ate half saved the rest! Def recommend :)

The best soup and sandwich I could die for! Delicious Banh, my, and Pozole verse soup was super tasty.

This was my first time eating here and I can't believe it took me so long! Everything was wonderful. I had the tuna sandwich and Asian salad. Then went next door to the bakery and practically got one of everything. Of course, had to sample it all when I got home and it is all amazing. Definitely will be back many more times.

Walked over while I was getting my oil changed, and was pleasantly surprised! Counter service provides a decent selection of salads and sandwiches with the option of a daily soup. All the salads and soups are under $8, but chips and drinks are not included. I had the roast beef sandwich which is scratch-made, including a home-made pretzel bun. The meat was a bit on the wet side causing the top bun to slide, but had a great texture and flavor. The Stone-ground mustard aioli complemented the meat well without overpowering it.

They're only open till 4 most days, but I hope to bring my girlfriend here on my next visit!

Friendly, Family owned restaurant that is a nice change from the big franchise chains! They specialize in lunch: Hearty sandwiches on fresh homemade bread, tasty soups, and save room for a variety of specialty desserts! If you can't decide what to get just order two different ones! One for lunch and one for dinner!

Had a recent lunch here with a group of co-workers. Had the buffalo sandwich that was the day's special. Should have taken a picture of it, as it was heavy, big, and tasted great! Have never been disappointed here, and their breads baked in-house are just exceptional. Highly recommended!

Great sandwich on fresh bread. I had the Banh Mi and it was amazing. Everything was fresh and good. Staff is friendly and the restaurant was clean.

THE best food and is our Saturday ritual to go get their kolaches. Just wish they had them on days other than Saturday.

Also, the meal for 2 is a fantastic deal and SO delicious.

If you want delicious Bahn Mi this is the place to go. You can tell they use fresh ingredients. There's a different lunch special every day.
Workers there are super friendly. If a place has quite a bit of regulars, that says a lot about the place.
After lunch, be sure to stroll on to next door for delicious bakery items. They are affiliated with each other and use the breads made for their sandwiches. Will definitely return to both places.

Love coming to this local favorite. I usually do a Bahn mi sandwich and a small soup. The soups here are tasty. Today was red beans and rice soup. Delicious flavor. If you're in the mood for some baked good visit their bakery next door. They have a nice variety of freshly baked bread and sweet desserts.

Wonderful service, great food, a lovely family owned business. We've tried numerous items on the menu and it is consistently good. Also, love the two for one soups at the end of the week. Freeze them & they are perfect when you can't get out or don't have time to make your own. The bakery products are also the best - cheesecake, bread pudding, cookies, fresh baked bread. Such goodness!
