Very cool to go up into the Tower of the Americas. This was built in 1968 2 years after Seattle built their space Needle and because of that they wanted to beat them so they made it over 100 ft taller. Pretty grounds well maintained. There's a restaurant that spins at the top for full 360° views of the city. The elevator ride we took up offered a great view of downtown San Antonio.

For a truly romantic experience, the observation deck is great, especially during the off-season when it's less crowded – perfect for adventurous couples seeking intimate moments with breathtaking views. It's also a hit for families with energetic little ones exploring the deck in the sky. Alternatively, for a more relaxed vibe, head to the restaurant beneath the observation deck. Enjoy cocktails and a delicious meal while still soaking in the captivating atmosphere.

Quick service - did not have to make any lines to buy or go all the way up. There were very few people at the top so I was able to catch all the sights without anyone walking in front of me or blocking my photos. Good view of the city and beyond. There are different sections around the deck which explain a part of the history of the city and how it came to be. Be sure to check them out and listen to the audio guides on each section. There’s a cafe at the tower as well as a gift shop.

If you want to go to the 360 view restaurant, it is recommended to have a reservation. You’ll have to get a specific elevator on the ground floor in order to head to the restaurant. It can’t be done through the observation deck.

The food was excellent. My husband had the prime rib, I had the swordfish! We had a table by the window, and it was just amazing. The staff was friendly and I couldn't ask for a better night!

We visited on Tuesday, Feb 13th. We bought our tickets online for the observation deck and 4D theater experience. You may want to bring a sweater into the 4D theater and hang on to the seats. But, It sure is very convenient on a hot Texas day. There was no line at the ticket box, so it's not a problem if you decide to go last minute. I felt like we had the whole place to ourselves for a Tues visit. There was plenty of outside space to relax listening to the water fountains. They had tables to enjoy the best Blue Bell ice cream and play a game of poker like we did. They have poles with outlets outside, so you can recharge your phones like we had to. The bathroom facilities are very clean. The staff at each location were very friendly. We also had reserved a table at the Chart House to celebrate our anniversary and our 13 yr old daughters Valentine's Day. We reserved 3 weeks in advance. Valentine's Day the 14th was booked at least 4 weeks in advance when I tried making reservations. The ambiance and food were amazing. It was extra special having a waitress that was on our level of happiness. She was attentive, flexible, and professional. I would love to see more dessert options for next year, like my favorite Creme Brulee. I would also like to see fresh flowers at the table or heart decorations for more of a Valentine's experience. We will be returning. Susie Arocha

This is a very unique restaurant where you sit at your table and the outside walls rotate around so you get a 360 view of the town of San Antonio while eating. It was built for the world’s fair in 1968. The food was very good and experience was great! I do not recommend their frozen daiquiris but the food was delicious!

Great place to take in the views. 360 views of San antonio at its best. Very beautiful water area around tower also. Price per person is around 20, which is very reasonable.

If you’re looking for something to do on the first Saturday of each month in San Antonio, come by and visit our Mopar club on display 6pm-9pm at the tower of the Americas here in San Antonio.
Great opportunity to see some beautiful cars and even go up and have a dinner at the revolving restaurant.

We went up at dusk so we could enjoy the views once it got dark. It’s a quick elevator ride up. Once at the top, there’s a lot of historical information and you can go out to the enclosed platform. The views at sunset were absolutely beautiful. We went on a Monday night and there weren’t too many people there.

Impressive 750-foot tower with panoramic city views, revolving restaurant, and 4D theater ride. A San Antonio landmark that's perfect for families, couples, and tourists alike. Tickets are not pricey, $15, but the views are worth it.

The Tower of the Americas is as much an icon of San Antonio as the Alamo, although much easier to locate. In the past few years the site has been upgraded with water features and a stage area. This was a must since the park has been overshadowed by the convention center.

Well hey there and yes the Tower of the Americas is the must visit place in San Antonio, TX.

We are here today at December 28, 2023 which is pretty busy because of the holiday season but also very pretty to watch all christmas lights from the top of the tower with sun set while we are enjoying our dinner with 360 automatically spinning floor.

Parking was $20 and because of so many people they let some people park on the grass in parking lot which is good and bad because when you get back to your car you might find your car surrounded with other cars, so no where to go, you have to wait for them to come back to move their car to be able to get out. So definitelly don't park on the grass, wait for someone move out on regular park space.

Anyway there is a restaurant top of the tower. Top Tower Restaurant also has 2 floor, 2nd floor is bar restaurant which you don't need reservations and when you say that you are going bar restaurant at the entrance of the building than you don't have to pay anything at the entrance, you are good to take your elevator to ride all the way up to the tower. For the First floor of top tower restaurant you need reservations and this 1st floor is the one is spinning all around 360 while you are sitting at your table, it is very unique so you can see all around the city. Most people choose evening time to enjoy watching sunset, with all the christmas lights in the city while you are enjoying your dinner. But 2nd floor is very pretty too even if it's not spinning. Definitely worth to visit. I say that don't be the one miss that experience.

Ok we totally thought this was going to leave us feeling anxious since it's fairly high up in the sky. Honestly the second we stepped into the elevator we felt at ease. Yes you can see the city and feel the breeze of the high altitude, but it is one of the safest places of that kind I've been to. I never felt like I was too close to the edge nor did I ever feel any swaying. Such a cool experience, highly recommend.
