An interesting look into history. At least outside of Texas I feel like this is a place we all hear about but don't know deep facts about. The tour was very good. The tour guide was also extremely helpful and kind when I got pooped on by a bird.

I was fortunate enough to tour The Alamo today- on the 188th Anniversary of The Alamo. The grounds were especially beautiful and felt sacred today. I recommend doing the audio tour. Otherwise you can walk around on your own and explore the area- lots of history to learn and read about.

Great to visit the Alamo! I happened to visit on the day before the anniversary on Tuesday March 5th.
Tickets are easily purchased in advanced online, however when I went to scan my QR code there was no line at all to purchase them live on site. I would recommend watching this 17-minute movie shown once inside the main building of the Alamo. I found it to be very informative in regards to the timeline of all the events leading up to and after the battle.

Absolutely magical. The church is amazing and the presentation, although short, is very powerful. The gardens and grounds are fantastic and well kept. Full of so much historic knowledge. I'd love to go back if I had time.

I very much enjoyed the musket shooting (At 11:30am and 1:30 pm every day) as things were explained super well, and the demonstrations were amazing. I really enjoyed the drummer. I know he has a much better historic name than that, but I can't remember it right now.

Great place to visit with family. The tickets are free, but u do have to go to the red kiosk to get them. There were a lot of people, but the line moves super fast. Once inside, you can ask any questions to the tour guides they are very friendly and knowledgeable. You can take as many pictures as you like they do have people at the entrance taking a professional picture, and u get 3 pictures for $30 dollars. They have a gift shop inside to get souvenirs.

This was my first time visiting. We went on a Sunday and while there were a lot of people, it wasn't shoulder to shoulder crowded. Very cool experience and the collection center exhibit took longer to walk through than the actual main alamo building.

Rich in history and ancient beauty.
So grateful for those who fought for freedom, those who preserved his gem over the centuries and those who came to learn about history of Texas.
Freedom and liberty came with a huge price that I am often taking them for granted.
Thank you!
Love San Antonio for what it stands.

The place can be very packed during the weekend so make sure you got your tickets ahead of time and figure out where you can park without walking too far to the Alamo or paying too much for parking.

And be aware and they have a lot of construction going on at the place which can be a bit annoying but excited about what’s next when it is done
Can’t wait to see how the Alamo could have been like.

Get here early!!!!! Becomes very crowded after 11am. If you love history, a must when traveling! Self-guided tour, with option to rent, recorded audio tour! (Highly recommend). Inside museum of artifacts dated back to time to the era. Some outdoor displays and of course the grounds itself is amazing

Beautiful memorial to the heroes of Texas. Some remodeling taking place while we're there but still The Alamo stands as a wonderful place to remember our Nation's history.

A very good place with a lot of information about History.
The best thing was there was a tiny room with old Medical tools they used to use during war. There was a man explaining how they used to use anesthesia and all.

A family favorite and an absolute great spot to visit!

Make sure you get online and reserve your spot in line ahead of time (like the day before or at 8 hours beforehand).

The souvenir shop is fantastic and you can't escape the place without getting at least one thing!

This site has a very important historical merit in the history of united states. There are two sections. One is the garden in the open space and the other one is a church next to it. There is no line to visit the garden but you have to wait in the line to enter the church. General admission to the church is free but if you want to have a tour you have to buy a ticket. There is a video played in one section of the garden, showing the history of the church and the important role it played in the history.

Very unique to see. See that the Alamo is now surrounded by downtown San Antonio. We went on a Saturday. There were a lot of reenactors that shared some good history and information. Very legitimate costumes and unique historic pieces on display. There's lots of security at the Alamo and lots of people there to answer questions.

Took five kids to the Alamo for an amazing visit! The historic site offered wonderful insights, but my mantra became “do not touch the walls” – a friendly reminder 1000 times. Despite that, the experience was educational and enjoyable, making it a must-visit for families. The Alamo’s rich history truly captivated both adults and kids alike.

Always love The Alamo. I try to visit it at least once a year. We live in Austin. We always make a day of it. Usually with the greatest pizza on earth. Round Table Pizza near North Star Mall.
We love the living history and additions coming and the museums. It is so much more interaction and learning available from when I was a kid in the 90's visiting.

A must visit Historic location. You can spend hours here if you’re a history buff. To walk around and think back at time that literally changed American history is amazing. The grounds are impeccable and the staff love their jobs. It doesn’t hurt to tip the guides if you feel inclined. They do a great job!

What can I say but, "Remember the Alamo!"
Filled with history and the efforts to maintain such a critical piece of history.
Loads of photo ops. Several chances to watch videos of different aspects of the mission/fort/community.
Fascinating historical records.

If you like to visit historic places, the Alamo is a must. Besides the been the place of the famous battlefield , el Alamo originally was part of the five original founding missions. Even if the entrance is free, you need to go to their website to reserve your spot and get tickets in advance. If you would like to admire historical artifacts, you need to buy the tickets for the exhibition in the brand new building behind the Alamo. Don't forget to visit the souvenir store.
