I had an appointment with Abry to discuss issues with my hair as it's become quite wavy as it has turned gray. I've always had straight, thick hair, but as it has turned salt/pepper gray, it's now thick and wavy. Abry took time to assess my hair, she asked plenty of questions to determine how I was taking care of my hair and what style cut I wanted. After a dry cut, she washed and conditioned my hair, then further refined the cut. Another trip to the bowl to rinse away any stray hairs and then the magic started. She explained what products she used, how much to use, in what order, and used a fine tooth comb to distribute it through my hair. She encouraged the curls and waves to form and used a diffuser to dry my hair. I have never seen such natural waves in my hair like the ones I had when I left! Thank you so much!!

Taylor cut my and styled my hair. She was great. Being a curly girl herself she knows how to style and cut curly hair. She took her time to assess my hair and asked questions about how I like to wear my hair. She explained all the products and how to use them. My hair looks great!

Destiny is amazing and so knowledgeable about curly hair! I had my first ever curly hair appointment last week, and it went very well. I have been straightening and blow drying my hair for almost a decade, so I was shocked when Destiny was able to bring back my curls! I never used to wear my hair curly, but Destiny gave me so much confidence with my hair, and instructions on how to recreate the styling! I have gotten so many compliments on how curly and healthy my hair looks. I would 100% recommend this salon to anyone looking to refresh their curls, and I will definitely be coming back!

Taylor made my curls come to life! I have suppper dry 4a-4b hair with quite a bit of heat damage and I never knew how to properly take care of/style my curls. Taylor washed, cut, and styled my hair AND actively taught ME how to care for/style my hair in 1hr 30 min. She’s pays veryy close attention to detail and is super gentle, definitely recommend!

Best haircut by far!! Abrey did an amazing job with my hair. I was looking for a new hair stylist that was able to give my curly hair some boost and she delivered. I love my hair again. The service was amazing. During my appointment she gave me all the tips and advice how to style my hair and how to keep my hair healthy. They even send you a link after with all the products they have used and how you can style your hair at home. Amazing! Highly recommended. And the salon is beautiful.

I had Taylor Anderson do my first curly cut ever and she was SO kind and did such an amazing job on my hair. She told me step by step what she did to style my hair so I could do it at home and gave me curls I didn’t know I had. Such a wonderful experience and will keep coming here as a regular!

Jasmin has single-handedly shaped my hair and curls so that it enhances my natural curl pattern. She has been patient with me while I learned I really do have curly hair and has taught me how to care for it. It took me until I was in my 40’s to figure out how to embrace my natural curls and she has really made the magic happen with proper cuts for my curl pattern. Thank you!

Destiny was amazing! She was super chill and easy to get along with. I have always felt like my hair was unmanageable (turns out it’s not). As she walked me through her whole process I realized how doable it is! My hair has never in my life looked this curly and she did a basic styling method! I love the results and I will 10/10 go back!

I loved my first visit to this place! for a while, I’ve been looking for a good hair salon, that is not crazy expensive and it is also specialized in curly hair in Austin, and I think I found it!! I made a free consultation appointment with Abrey de la Rosa. She listened all my concerns and suggested what was best for me. A week later I went back for the actual appointment, and the results were amazing! She cut my hair, touched up my roots, styled my hair and showed me how to do and maintain my hair at home. She was very professional and super nice! Ah! And the place is lovely and it smells so good!!

I’ve been coming to Destiny since June 2022 when I had my first curly cut after straightening my hair for most of my life. She helped me completely transform my hair and get my curls back and taught me how to maintain! I’ve since moved out of the country but have no desire to see anyone else and will make an appointment with her any chance I’m in town!!

She's extremely personable, knowledgeable, and explained everything she was doing along the way. I have had so many challenges with my curls in the past, but the styling that she gave me has been really easy to manage and look great! Highly recommend in every way!

Abrey did an amazing job!! Sometimes I struggle having curly hair because I don’t really know how to define my curls, and she had all the patience to explain and show me the best way to do it! I love my haircut!!

Abrey did a fantastic job! I came in with a botched hair cut from another salon absolutely devastated after three months of desperately trying to grow it out. In under two hours I feel like my old self again and will definitely be back to get some colouring done (once I figure out which colour to get 😅) she was knowledgeable and listened to my concerns. Abrey saved me from cutting my curls off! The humidity down here can be intense, which left my curls…well, frizzy! I tried a few salons before Austin Curls, got the same advice from both - use more products. Not thanks!

Abrey swooped in, cut my hair in longer layers which saved the length while giving me volume. She even sent me videos on how to use her method when styling it at home.

Needless to say, I won’t be going anywhere else! Thanks Abrey, I absolutely love my curls now!
