My husband and I went in with unsure expectations for buying a car. Tyler, our associate, was very straightforward and assisted us greatly, and professionally. The overall experience was great, and the customer service was spot on. I would definitely recommend this Carmax location to those searching for a new vehicle.

I sold, bought, and financed through Carmax and had a great experience. No one contacted or solicited before I decided to buy, and once I did decide to buy the customer service was incredible. From the first person who called/texted to the person at the store when I picked up my new car, every single person was kind, competent, and helpful. All reps made the process easy and I never felt pressured or misled like some dealerships or salespeople have in the past. Highly recommend Carmax and I'll probably never buy another car from a dealership (where I've had LOTS of bad experiences). They even brought out my new car with a giant bow!

It’s been very stressful to say the least, but I feel really confident about this Honda. I hope this car last me a lot longer than the last two, and brings memories to cherish. I feel extremely excited and relieved that I can finally relax and enjoy my vehicle.

The first vehicle I purchased literally had a "shut down engine" warning light go off less than an hour after I signed the papers. CarMax sent a tow truck and gave me a loaner vehicle for the week. This happened again after it had came back from the dealership, so I had another loaner for a few days. I ended up returning that vehicle and purchasing a different one. The whole process was smooth and the employees were great to work with. Amy, their technician, was fabulous through all of this!!

I had a Challenger shipped from Indiana and the process was easy and convenient. There were people that called periodically to keep me updated. I had my own financing, but Garrett made the sale as easy as it could be. Probably the best car buying experience I've had and the price was fair too! Great experience without all of the usual dealership games.

We decided to sell my 2020 Volvo S60 and looked at several online sites. CarMax was the easiest site to navigate. I entered the required info and in less than five minutes I had a great offer that was $5000 above what Carvana offered me!! I made an appointment on line, got the requested items in order to take to the appointment with me, and in less than an hour I had sold my car and walked out with a bank draft in hand! Easiest car transaction I’ve EVER had!! I was very skeptical at first, but am so pleased with my experience at CarMax that I will probably use CarMax to find my new Volvo SUV when we decide to buy one.

From online paper process to in person process everything was A1 and smooth. My guy Tyler that helped us from A-Z he even hooked me up with a loaner till my car was ready. Great customer service and I love their 30 day policy on all vehicles!!! Definitely recommend CARMAX OF SPRINGFIELD 5STARS!!

Great way to buy a used vehicle. Plenty in stock. The way they are all open and you sign in and can go check out vehicles is great. All vehicles had prices on them.

After receiving quotes via the internet, I brought two vehicles in to sell to CarMax in Springfield, IL. The process was quick, easy and fair. A huge kudos to Alex who was extremely pleasant to work with and took great care of me!

We were weary about going through Carmax to buy a car because it’s not your typical dealership but we didn’t realize how AMAZING that actually was. We’re expecting our fourth child and needed a car to support that. The guys from the Springfield, IL store went above and beyond for us to find the perfect vehicle and we cannot thank them enough. We will recommend carmax to everyone we know because of the customer service we had during our several visits!! We started with Tyler who was amazing, honest and attentive. We then were handed to Jackson who took amazing care of us and didn’t make us feel as if we were just a sale. Tucker, the manager, checked in on us every
visit and made sure we were happy. We spoke to all the other guys who were working also, who were just as kind and attentive. It felt like everyone working really cared about their customers! This is hands down the best service we’ve ever experienced while buying a new car and I just can’t say enough great things about the staff here!! They should definitely get acknowledged, I am one to never leave reviews but it felt like we had to and really want whoever is in charge to take into consideration the hardworking staff at this store. Carmax was very east to work with. From looking at cars on their app, to chatting with representatives online to the in store experience, every part was seamless. Tucker was our in store associate. He was kind, friendly and went above and beyond. My old car was not running. I did not think they would take it as a trade in. He came with us on our test drive and brought a car jumper to see if we could get my car going. He was able to get it started and I was able to trade it in. He did not need to do that. I am thankful for his help and making my car buying express and easy one. I will definitely buy from Carmax again when I am in the market for a car next time.
