New Hudson Inn

The Big Smoky Burger was exquisite. Half pound patty, pulled pork, pepper jack cheese, bbq sauce, and onion rings. I added a fried egg for a buck. They also served the beer in a Frosty Mug which I very much appreciated. They were open until Midnight on a Sunday which allowed me to watch game 7 of the western conference finals until the end. Great job NHInn!!

Emily our server was the greatest person that waited on us, she is my new "best friend."
She was the best ever, I will come back and sit at one of her tables even if she's not busy, to help her out professionally!
She provided great attentive service and was very friendly and sweet, stopping to chat a couple of times when she had a minute or two. (She of course kept up on the other tables perfectly it seems!)

I stopped by the New Hudson Inn on the way to Detroit, and I wasn’t disappointed. The building is quite old, and that was part of my reason for stopping here, but my lunch was very good. It was basically a better version of a Big Mac, and it really hit the spot; the fries were also good. It’s a nice unpretentious place that seems to serve a pretty friendly crowd. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re in the area.

We had passed this place many times, and finally decided to stop for lunch. We are so glad we did. We both had BLT's and they were awesome. They have a large variety of appetizers, we had the fried pickles, which were very tasty and not greasy like so many we have had. Our server, Rachelle, was extremely friendly and personable, and was on top of the order and the drinks for the whole time we were there. I can say, without a doubt, we will be back.

Back in the late 1960’s-1980’s, My father & his friends used to stop in almost every Thursday after work for a beer and burger. After years & years of driving by, now we finally stopped in to eat. The servers were friendly. The other patrons were friendly too. The burger & fries was delicious! Burger stacked high, & it stayed together while you ate it. The music inside & the band in the outdoor area was great! We will be back soon!

My aunt and I ended up here somewhat on accident after getting severely sidetracked in the I-96 construction and were both frustrated and hungry. This place totally turned that feeling around. Our server Annie was super sweet and attentive, the atmosphere was comforting, and the food was delicious. I had the Texas toast burger with fries, with the Inn sauce for dipping (which was so good I bought some to take home), and everything was delicious. Thank you NHI for turning our sour outing experience into a lovely one. :)

Clearly a beloved spot for the surrounding area. The place was bouncing on Saturday night with a live band. Food was surprisingly good. Beverage selection is limited but what they do have is very well priced. Our server was extremely patient with us as newbies and gave great service. The parking lot is basically a dirt lot adjacent to the Inn. Do you really need anything more?

Rider Friendly with dedicated M/C parking. Good destination for a 🍔 and 🍺. The beer is a little colder here, and the sandwiches are a little bigger.

Good food, good service, good atmosphere. Don't know what took me so long to stop there. I'll be back.

12/15 update: Still a place to kick back and relax with love music. Which by the way was awesome. Oldest Bar in Michigan and has the vibe of up and coming. All the staff were available to help with any need. Kudos!

Thanks to Star ⭐ who not only acknowledged us and introduced our new server ( in training ), but gave us history of the place, showed us where the pictures were on the side walks of the back room and then, showed us pictures of the upstairs and shared the history of the building.
We enjoyed our time eating our lunch and enjoyed our burgers.
I got a bacon cheese burger with The INN sauce and my hubby got the bacon, cheese and ranch burger. Both cooked to their medium rare perfection. Our french fries were cooked without being over greasy or over crunchy or dry.
Totally going to come back!

Awesome place go their off and it's only two and a half miles down the road! Oldest bar in Michigan and a fun place to go :-)

Stop in be apart of Michigan History. For an Ole’Pub it dont look like some of the Oldest Saloons and taverns in America that ive sat in but what do I know this is only my 46 oldest state pub in the Lower 48 BUT i will say i enjoyed sitting belly to bar knowing that “once upon a time” stop in and Enjoy ur Glass of whiskey and shot of Beer- Cheers! …. Our server Delaney was absolutely awesome! Very friendly and attentive! Had the chicken quesadillas with sweet potato fries!! Definitely recommend!

We love the New Hudson Inn. We are both originally from this area and whenever we are in town we stop in here. Food is great and servers are fast and friendly. Updates have definitely helped the atmosphere.

What a great local hangout!!!! Spent the Lions game here & despite the crowd, noise, the wait staff was courteous & attentive. The kitchen pumped out food quickly. Just a fun place to gather.

We have always had great experiences here! We love seeing our favorite bartender, Rianne! She takes the best care of us!

$13 for all you can eat fish and chips on Friday. I was full after 2 out of the 4 pieces of fish though. :-)

Open since 1831 it's a sure indicator of a popular restaurant.
First time here for breakfast. Corned beef hash made from scratch. Sit down and get a fresh sugar cinnamon donut.
