Portillo's Roseville

I've been wanting to visit this place after seeing all the people online talking about how amazing the food is. I moved up to Minnesota this year and a coworker mentioned there was a location down the road from my office. I hit this place the day before yesterday and the food did not disappoint. Beef sandwich was amazing and the cheese fries are definitely worth a stop all on their own. Friendly staff and a clean restaurant. All in all and A+ 10 out of 10 stop for me and I'll definitely be back.

Chicagoland staple, in the Minni-Apple. A budry and I were discussing dinner options for the group of 10 of us when I mentioned portillo's, it was a done deal. Italian beef hot peppers with sausage.

Hotdogs, burgers, and Italian Beefs with a Chicago nostalgic atmosphere. Service was great and food was tasty.

Stop by for your lunch and it was great.

I had a single cheeseburger, my husband had a couple cheeseburger, we shared a large fries and chicken tenders. Their nacho cheese is thick and yummy.

It was my first time here. They have good, fast service through the drive thru. I had the spicy chicken sandwich, it was actually really good. I always add scorpion hot sauce to chicken sandwiches so I didn’t get the sauce that comes with it. The fries were surprisingly good. I think they sprinkle it with crack. I’ll definitely be back!

This is a fun place to eat, with nostalgic images, old billboards, and vintage advertising that decorates the walls. The food is good, and the service is very good. I forgot to ask them to not put mustard on my son's hot dog when I ordered and they graciously replaced the hot dog for free when I brought the issue to their attention.

Service staff were friendly and engaging, at least the ones who appeared more senior or experienced. Food is good, as always.

Only room for improvement is that they gave me a coke instead of a root beer. This has happened twice when I’ve come here and isn’t a big deal, but could easily be improved with clearer training for the order assembly people.

My partner is from Chicago-land, and I’ve been wanting to try Portillos ever since I watched an Eater video featuring the chocolate cake shake. However, I wasn’t aware that Portillos existed in Minnesota until recently. I was also turned off by the lack of vegetarian options.

My partner and I were in Roseville today to pick something up, and we noticed Portillos. We decided that we HAD to stop, and it was definitely the right decision. We ordered a large cheese fry, chocolate cake shake, and 2 veggie dogs. Apparently, Portillos just started carrying Chicago-style veggie dogs, and we couldn’t have been happier about the pleasant surprise.

The service was fast and friendly! It seemed like the folks working there were in high spirits and having a good time. The food came out quickly and everything was delicious. I love the tanginess of a chicago dog! The cake shake was rich and delightful. It made me want to try a slice of their chocolate cake. The fries were hot and fresh, and the cheese was a fun addition.

Overall, I was blown away! I loved the festive, kitschy atmosphere too. I felt like I was in chicago for a brief moment.

Please keep serving veggie dogs!!! As long as there’s a veggie option at Portillos, I’ll come back!

Delicious salad, hot dogs, fries, and shakes. Highly recommended!

I was told to fill out the survey for a free large fry, the lady at the window did a fantastic job and made sure my order was correct. She was very soft spoken and sweet. I lost my receipt but hope this gets to them.

Love Portillo’s! The food is awesome! Though staff wasn’t super friendly and the bathrooms were a mess.

Omgosh the bacon cheeseburger is the best and smoky delicious burger I've ever eaten. My husband got the Italian beefsteak he enjoyed it, but thought the onion rings were too hard... ( I loved them and thought they had the perfect amount of crunch.

Portillo’s was a very nice place for lunch. The food and service was excellent. Clean facility with a variety of food selections. Those of you who are from the Windy City, Chi-town, Chicago will love their Italian beef sandwiches and hot dogs!!! So if your feel like some nostalgia and good food stop in and grab a bite to eat!!

Went here with an old friend. Her first experience. She was completely impressed with the ambiance and the iconic decor of the place. Then the food. Being born and raised in Chicago, I had to explain a few things to her about the Chicago Dog and the Beefs. She loved the food and the Chocolate Shake blew her mind. I plan on making this a regular Home Away from Home.

My 1st time, and what a great experience. The Italian beef with sausage (#5) easily something I will remember for a long time.

Great food, especially the Chicago style hot dogs. Food took a little bit to get but it was worth the wait. Try the chocolate cake also, it's to die for.

We were on the way home and craving some chocolate cake, so we went through the drive thru for the first time. The girls working the windows were wonderful!

It was our puppy’s first drive-thru trip and they made it an awesome experience. They showered him with praise and offered us a pup cup! We didn’t even know they did that here. We turned them down since we weren’t too sure about giving our new pup so much sugar, but then they offered him a hot dog.

We thought it would be a pup sized dog, but it wasn’t. They spoiled him! He loved it!! What a great time for the little guy. Now he absolutely loves people, loves drive-thru, and loves Portillo’s!! He definitely remembered them because now he gets excited every time he’s in the car thinking we’re going to Portillo’s, ha!

Great service, goes above and beyond for their customers, super friendly staff. Made it a great time for everyone in the car. We will definitely come back again and again.

Chocolate cake was also amazing, of course!

Not like your average restaurant. Cake shake was good, but tasted like your average chocolate cake. Fries were amazing, had a unique aroma to it, making it stand out more than the shake. Burgers were freshly made.

Cool place with lots to look at. It is a walk up order/ pick up so there isn't really any service, but the people working were happy, singing in the kitchen! Good to hear. Food is good nice portions.
