La Prairie Spa at The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park

Great spot and very accommodating team! If you’re in the area and need a massage, I’d recommend La Prairie 🙌

I saw a few negative reviews but wanted to give it a try myself and after doing so, I’m happy I gave it a try. To be fair, I went on a Tuesday which is probably a more low-key day than Thursday-Saturday. Regardless, the steam room, shower, and massage were just what I needed. They have some good refreshments as well along with mixed nuts and some dried fruit to snack on.

I didn’t see that they let you select an individual masseuse but if you can, request Shamar! I knew my lower back was hurting so I asked her to focus there but she found other areas that needed work and I felt amazing afterwards. Thank you Shamar 🙏

Lastly, some comments I saw mentioned it’s a small spa. This seems like a “no-duh” sort of thing in NYC. Limited and expensive space, especially near Central Park, isn’t going to provide a large spa like other locations might.

Overall, great experience here and if you go, I hope you enjoy it too!

Today was a true pleasure! My husband and I both had massages and we are thrilled to say we have found our new favorite NYC escape! The spa was beautiful and the staff was exceptional! Be cannot wait to come back!

This place is too good for words. There is truly nothing like this incredibly decadent experience at La Prarie Spa. As soon as you walk in you are welcomed by an incredibly warm and smiling staff there to make you feel comfortable and wonderfully relaxed. Immediately, you are asked if you want anything (I opted for an almond milk latte - which was baller), and munched on some nuts and dried fruit.

Then I was called by the lovely Rachel to get the caviar mani/pedi treatment. I’ve never been a huge fan of eating caviar, but I am certainly a fan of putting it on my body. The treatment was beautiful! You get to choose your own music, and are whisked away for 2 hours while she transforms your hands, feet and nails into true beauty. My feet have never looked that good.

Afterwards, Rachel took me back to their gorgeous lounge (which they have just recently undergone renovations), where she brought me a crisp glass of bubbly and a few mini desserts to try. I could have died from happiness.

I waited for my nails to dry and then went to use their steam room, showers (their shampoo and conditioner smells delightful), and their beautiful La Prarie products they leave for your use in the locker room. The face wash is top notch.

I think I spent like 4 hours there. Best 4 hours you will ever spend. Real life seems so distant in there while. You leave relaxed, happy and maybe a little tipsy (the champagne is very good lol). Worth every penny. I’m taking my mom next time.

Visiting this Spa was one of my best experiences ever. I got a microdermabrasion facial, and my skin is still feeling baby smooth days later. The esthetician was super attentive and gentle. I feel like the entire staff went the extra mile to make me feel comfortable. Very relaxing. Would recommend this place to anyone.

5 stars. Booked a 90 minute massage with any masseuse and stumbled across Eddie. He made such a difference in my neck/back pain, I ended coming back again before flying home. He was even kind enough to come in early to accommodate my flight time. Highly highly recommend Eddie. Will be booking again when in town.

I had an absolutely wonderful, quiet and luxurious experience from start to finish. I booked a 60 min prenatal massage and 90 min signature facial, which were both nothing short of heavenly. Because I’m pregnant, I wasn’t looking for the “total spa experience”, just a top notch treatment-focused escape in a beautiful, clean facility and this was the perfect place for that. When booking, I should have asked if they could do a longer prenatal massage because 60 mins always seems so rushed to me especially if it’s been a while since your last one. Only minor critique is I wish the women’s locker facilities had a bit more privacy than a curtain between it and the relaxation/waiting area though. It seemed easy for anyone to mistakenly walk through it.

My experience here was no less than stellar. The massage, facial products, & customer service were absolutely wonderful! The waiting area & amenities are quite relaxing, which was exactly what I needed after a crazy day. Will definitely return & would recommend.

Came all the way from NJ to experience this! Loved our time here! The locker rooms are amazing and the staff is so attentive and friendly. My boyfriend and I got massages and facials I believe my facialist’s name was Anna. So attentive and friendly, they even gave me a little something for my birthday! And the refreshments are great- dried fruit, kombucha, water and champagne. And the decor is absolutely beautiful! Can’t wait to return. The front desk staff is super professsional as well great service

Wonderful, wonderful experience! From the welcoming smile and energy of Daniella at the front desk, to a relaxing massage with Laura and feeling gorgeous after a facial with Naima - everything was absolutely lovely.

Unreal experience, worth every penny. My esthetician had been there since the spa opened. An incredible experience. Why get Botox when you can go to the spa..? Cant wait to come back!

I am 41 years old and started getting facials at the age of 16. Out of all my experiences this is by far the best facial I have ever had. Mary is a first class esthetician. the service provided is exemplary. I will never go anywhere else.
