On a trip you always try to remember everything. The only thing we forgot was to recharge the camera battery. Charles at 7th Avenue Electronics sold us a new battery with a charge on it, AND kept our old battery for the day and recharged it for us. While it may have been more expensive than buying it at home at Walmart, we had few options, and we understand that when you are in a tourist mecca like Manhattan, prices will be higher. All in all, we were treated well and have amazing pictures thanks to 7th Avenue Electronics!

If desperate for an item, then I guess you will can shop here. But otherwise, overly priced on all items. They might 'talk' the prices down but still extreme.

Charged $185 for a $20 portable phone charger. Asked for price twice and they proceeded to distract me and not tell me then would not refund!!! Absolutely despicable and disgusting. Luckily used credit card and disputed. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!!!!!!

Be careful, every product in this shop is overpriced 10 times.

No receipt, Police should take care of that kind of people stealing Your money and not paying any taxes.

Think before any purchase, very carefully.

Everything in the store is overpriced even considering the convenience fee, and worse yet the products are not guaranteed to function properly. I bought a phone charger that was more than twice as expensive as it should have been, then found out it doesn't work properly. I would have been better off buying a charger at the airport, think about that statement; A charger purchased at an airport would have been less expensive and of higher quality than the same charged purchased from this electronics store in midtown. What a scam, I hope it burns down.

Echoing what everyone else has said - I had to buy a last minute printer USB cable and it cost $80 total instead of the $15 it would be anywhere else. DO NOT GO HERE.

Avoid at all costs. Wanted to charge for a $5 power strip $50. Do not go here for anything...

Avoid the store.
Had to buy a luggage piece in the last minute before leaving the city because the one ordered from Amazon did not arrive on time. They took advantage of this and charged 185$ for the same item sold by Amazon for 87$

I recently purchased acamera from seventh Avenue electronics. I thought that they were giving me a fair price but naïvely I trusted them and shouldn't have. I googled the camera after making the purchase and it was less than half the price at a variety of other camera stores in the area. I would definitely recommend that no one make purchases from the store. When I returned to show the price I could get elsewhere and asked for either a credit for the difference or a refund I was told they do new no refunds at all only offering me a store credit. They were very rude. It was amazing how things changed when they were shown to be as unethical as they are.

***PLEASE AVOID*** Buy at your own risk!!!
Complained and would not refund, went to Police and they told me this happens to lots of Tourists and they cannot do anything, talk to the 'Better Business Bureau' or do a case on them? I am a tourist, Police said we are sorry. The Police even told me that the Shop owner had made a complaint against me, as I would not leave the Store when told to!!! what a joke, you have not rights. Just avoid this shop and pay by CreditCard for purchases as you have more rights to get your money back.

Never buy anything form this store. They are scamming customers. I wanted to buy a phone charger, I was told by the sales person that charger cost 3.99. I gave him my credit card and he charged $43. I said that it is a lot for a phone charger, he said that this is the price and he will not refund and asked me to leave the store.
Called credit card company , disputed the charge and will complain to BBB and consumer affair. Hope they will be closed!

What a bunch of con artists scammers these are. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BUY FROM THESE. They are the lowest form of theifs and are scum of the earth. They will make out to be your best friends and make small talk to gain your trust. We bought a camera that my wife wanted that prints out pictures instantly. We had seen it in the window at €59.99 and was offered a deal with some film a small album and a carry case which we know amounts to €158 after looking at prices online but when we asked for a receipt from the payment on our card we was charged €479.90. We rang the NYPD who came down to the shop where they talked to the scumbag in the shop who told them it was not the camera he had sold us as this was a better model than the one in the window and was more money. We then showed them the camera and even they agreed it was the same model as in the window. He disputed this and the NYPD said there was nothing they could do as no crime had been committed. What type of laws are there in this country as there illegally thieving money from visiting tourists. I disputed with the NYPD officer and said how I felt but did understand that there was nothing they could do. I've since reported this to my banks fraud team and am waiting for them to sort this out and refund the extra amount that these lowlife scumbags have taken. I felt like ripping there shop apart as they had my wife in tears. He said I was a bad man because I should be supporting my wife and they gave us a good deal. I told him he was the lowest form of scum on the earth and walked out the shop. We was told by a couple outside that they had done this to them also and looking at the reviews here its not just us.

Stay away from them there thief's and operate beyond the control of the law but one day they will get there justice served. People in the shop saw what was happening and heard me saying about them taking money which wasn't there's and they left the shop. That's one person who's not getting ripped off andnifbihad not been flying home I would've stood outside the shop all day and told people why they shouldn't go in there. Stay away from here be warned. I just wish I'd read the reviews before I went in there but I'm to trusting of people. New York for me....never again and I've been all over with my wife and never had any bad experience in other states.

WRNING!! THESE PEOPlE ARE ROBBERS!!! THEY GOUGE PRICES AND WILL ROB YOU BLIND!!! THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS!!!!
They act very friendly but are extremely deceptive, Don't sign anything and read the small print... No refunds, 20percent restocking fee etc etc!! We purchased a camera from 'Andy'.a good talker adamant that the cannon camera was the latest model.. Originally it priced at $599 and smooth talking Andy and his sidekick pretending to be one of the store owners "did us a a 'great favour" and discounted it ..We. Payed $500 & signed what we were told would be our tax receipt so we could claim tax back. To find out that night it was 2yrs old and available at Best Buy for $189 the actual latest model was $499!!!
We took the camera back next day and Surprise Surprise!! .. No refund! And wanted to replace the camera with something of even lesser value!! We have reported these people to the authorities in hoping that this will not happen to anyone else! Final outcome for us was after much harassment & abuse from them & wanting to charge us another $200 restocking fee!!! ,we changed it for another item NEVER getting the correct value of what we originally payed!!! STAY WAY FROM THIS STORE!! or any store like it!! ITS A COMPLETE RACKETT!!! Hopefully the authorities will shut them down!!! - Submitted February 2016
