Gwen Thompson Briar Patch Park

This is a very nice park. The whole play area has a cushiony rubberized floor. They have equipment for the litter ones, and another area for the bigger kids. There are tennis courts, and there's a sand volleyball pit too.

I just went to this park for the first time with my daughter. It is really quite impressive. The playground just goes on and on with so many different play structures. And they do have the flooring in the main area that is softer for impacts and more supportive for the feet (don't know what it is called).

Beautiful park for a variety of ages, as well as adults with the fitness area at the back left. The back right is fairly shadyn. Restroom onsite. Big sand pit, picnic tables, and plenty of space if you wanted to throw or kick a ball (with a child that has good aim 😅)

Great playground with equipment for kids of all ages. Lots of variety for things to climb and slide on and tons of space. Best playground in immediate vicinity.

We've been there a couple of times, my kids love it, from my little one to my oldest, it's fun, and have a lot of different activities, you won't feel the time pass you there! Bring a snack and water!
There's also a Sandy area, Wich my little one enjoys so much!

Excellent playground with areas for many different age groups. Plenty of things to climb. The flooring looks like mulch but is nice and soft / cushioned.

Great park! Has lots of climbing gyms and slides, and they recently renewed the entire playground surface. It has a soft, spongy rubber feel. My kids always make friends with other kids and never get bored.

When visiting my grand daughter and great grand daughter, we went to this wonderful and our great grand had a blast playing on the equipment. The park is clean, play ground equipment is a safe challenge for kids of all ages. (We were visiting from Michigan).

I love this park for my almost 2-year-old. It's never too packed and very open but safe for the kids from the fences. All the playgrounds are in good condition and there's several swings. Nice basketball court as well and tennis court. There are also levels for the playgrounds for different ages and sizes of kids which I find helpful.

After two years, all the construction is finally completed. The swings on the north side of the creek are back, and the new circuit training exercise section is right beside the swings. My kids love this park! There is very little shade, making it impossible to visit mid-day during the Summer, but it is great any other time of year.

Great park featuring three sets of playground equipment! There is a parking lot that is one-way only and restrooms. A trail and bridges surround a nature preserve.

The best playground in the neighborhood with a wonderful environment for children of all ages. I also recommend the sand pit where you can play volleyball. Overall a wonderful place.

One of the best in the area. Its big with a whole variety of things for all age groups. It has a Picnic shelter, sand volleyball court, basketball court, tennis courts, multiple kids play areas, swings.

It's a well planned and laid out playground with something for every age group. I've got a 3 year old and a just barely walking 1 year old, and the rubber ground is ideal for his toddling, scooting, and falling! There are canvas covers with some seating for caregivers and even a picnic table just off the playground for meals and snacks. There is a volleyball sand pit next to it. There are also public bathrooms. They aren't perfect, but they were the best-looking public bathrooms I had seen on a Friday afternoon. he grounds are kept clean - I was there when a county staff person came through to pick up litter and empty trash cans. Two complaints: there are a lot of blind spots so you can't always see e ery part of the playground bc of a curve in the grounds. Second, which is in the same category, is the swings are completely separate from the main playground. It's separated by a fence and a small waterway, which is what makes me a bit nervous. All in all, it's an excellent playground, possibly the best in the area!

I rlly love this park because the playground is huge and there Is a small area for babies and toddlers then along with that there is a pond a creek and cool rocks

One of the best playgrounds in the area. Hands down! You want a little trail? Sand pit? Grassy knolls? How about a swing set and a bridge to watch passing water move through? There are so many sets of playground equipment here for every age group. Every. Age. From just walking to seniors. It's pretty packed on the weekends and nice days for good reason.

The toddler playground is the only one around when children four or five years old can find challenging things to do. Really appropriate climbing equipment.
Update fall 2023: the entire playground haa been resurfaced. Very nice.

Love Briar Patch! Clean bathrooms. Things to do for all ages. Sand volleyball, tennis, pickle ball, basketball and lots for the littles.

My grandson had his fifth birthday here - PERFECT! Kids could play in the fabulous playground, and the shelter was ample.
