A wonderful, homebase, small location where you can have amazing food that comes from local markets and local farmers. I recommend this quite little place to anybody that wants to relax and eat great food

I attend the temple and have been eagerly waiting for the open of serendipity just around the corner and I was not disappointed in the slightest! I was greeted so sweetly and with excitement and left with a full heart! The serendipity salad with the house dressing was absolutely amazing! I definitely recommend adding and egg and bacon to make it even more so when you order!

Downtown Frederick delicious foods. Deli cheeses. Many Gluten free selections! Even some convenient grocery items! Homemade carrot cakes, roasted coffees,. breakfasts, lunches and pastries. inside and outside seating, carry out and online delivery. Child friendly. You've got to check this out. I go there frequently for a quick snack or special sodas.

Small but good selection and price for groceries and has a deli. Great to be able to walk and not have to drive to a supermarket.

I love going to serendipity! They make the best sandwiches!!! And while you wait you can shop in their market or even shop in their art gallery!!!

A grocery store that serves high quality breakfast and lunch. Had french toast and waffles that were amazing!. It was open before most of the other stores on Saturday morning. I suggest having breakfast/lunch here then visiting the other local stores.

The sanctuary of Frederick County. Our group meets here every week and we are so grateful for the delicious food, beverages, and great service. Truly a local asset.

What a delightful cafe! The staff went beyond basic kindness and is very friendly. Nice setup to allow indoor seating amidst pandemic safety requirements. Food is delicious and there's a great selection of dry goods.

Great little market that has a little bit of everything. Excellent for a quick pickup, the meats are local grass fed and delicious. They have fresh fruits and vegetables and mixes for cocktails among other things. Definitely try their ice cream it's locally made and pretty damn amazing. Great for a pop on breakfast lunch or dinner, too.

I hosted a baby shower here for my sister-in-law and it was fantastic! Aside from the store location being trendy and fun, the owners were wonderful to work with and the food was delicious (we did tea sandwiches, soups, salad and pies for dessert). I held a party for 35 people in the upstairs loft and had so many compliments on the space and the food. It's really hard to find a good event rental in downtown Frederick that isn't overly formal, or 'more' than what you really need. I would definitely recommend Serendipity to anyone looking to host a small event/party, it's pretty and fun, and the staff are very easy to work with! Would highly recommend!

I have ordered from Serendipity twice (via Uber eats) and they don't disappoint!
I got the The Curious Bear the first time, and was perfectly seasoned, a hint of smokiness in the cauliflower, and the Jony sauce was delicious. Simply amazing!

This time, they were out of the French Toast, they substituted 2 waffles. I was blown away, they had a cinnamon sugar crunch on the outside, warm and soft on the inside. Served with butter and syrup. I also got the grain bowl (for later) and the oat and chia porridge with berries.
My spouse got the biscuits with sausage gravy, bacon, and a croissant (they commented that it was the best they've ever had). All of this made for a super satisfying brunch. We will be ordering from here again and look forward to visiting in person soon!

We love Serendipity. My good friend and I have difficulty finding a restaurant to eat at because I’m a vegan and she’s not. So we go every weekend we’re able. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. It’s a lovely, eclectic market/cafe and super comfortable to visit and hang out at.

We had a delicious Thanksgiving with takeout from Serendipity today! Everything was delicious from the meats to the sides to the desserts. They even delivered FREE extra items to our home when we realized we were missing some things. They went above and beyond to make our meal special!

What a great find! My husband and I split the turkey sandwich and greek bowl with our 2 toddlers, plus we bought a bag of maui onion chips and a chunk of smoked gouda. Everything was SO GOOD and high quality with reasonable prices. The peanut sauce with the bowl was especially delish. My kids were really comfortable in this atmosphere and the owner was super nice and accommodating. They have big spaces in the rear for groups or families. I love that they support local businesses and farmers and do so while keeping the prices reasonable. I look forward to our next visit, which will be very soon!

Beautiful, inviting store that will become a social hub in downtown Frederick. It's great to have a reasonably priced store to be able to pick up a few necessities. There is a little bit of everything including fresh vegetables, diapers, household needs, etc. The owner, Diane, is creative and artistic making a comfortable space to have a sandwich and relax in the back room while surrounded by local art work. Having a wedding party? Rent the top floor, its a perfect space for a gathering. I wish her all the luck in this new endeavor. #Realtor

Very cute store with a nice selection of grocery items. It was really fun to walk around and check everything out before grabbing a drink and something to snack on. The cafe part is also very nice and is a great place to sit and chat with friends. Would def come back again if I was in the area

Such a cool store with many options if you want a healthy snack and great prices! The owner was so friendly and even ran after us with a bottle of water as a gift because we mentioned we're on a long trip today and about to get on the bus. Also such a pretty area, I wish I could live here!
