Happy to share that my group and I had a lovely stay at this well maintained property. I had frequent questions for the bellmen who were super helpful and the front desk was always kind in our experience. It’s also nice that the lobby is relatively less crowded than other hotels in the area because the restaurant entrance is separate.

Also, the location is unbeatable (literally, it’s at Bourbon and Canal).

I was hesitant to stay at the Astor New Orleans due to all the reviews. However, I had a pleasant experience. My husband and I took an early morning flight Friday and were able to check into our room on the 5th floor around 9 AM. We were able to relax and get settled in. Our toilet did have issues with the water not filling up but a quick call to the front desk and maintenance was in our room within minutes. He was able to fix the issue immediately. We did have hot water although you just had to run the water for about a minute or so for the hot water to get to the temp you wanted. I will admit it did take me some time to figure out the shower system and not sure if people's confusion is the reason they didn't have hot water. The only time we encountered long waits (less than 5 minutes) for the elevator was during check out time especially since they just hosted a big conference. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Astor New Orleans, which is in a great location on bourbon and canal.

First time to stay at this hotel - definitely won’t be the last! The location was super convenient, the rooms were nice, quiet, and smelled amazing! We arrived early and the room wasn’t ready, but they have a bellman who will securely store your luggage, valet was happy to go ahead and take our car, and we were free to start our mini-vacay! They called us a few hours later when our room was ready and all was great! Will definitely look into staying here for future trips!

Two small things to note: the bed coverings were thinner than I prefer and I got cold in the night - this may not be an issue for others, but if you tend to get cold, you might ask for an extra blanket before bedtime (I didn’t as it was 3am and I just put on my sweatshirt and went back to sleep).

The other thing to note is that valet drop off is directly on Canal Street - so it was very congested dropping off and picking back up to leave. All was fine and there were no issues, just be aware of the congestion and note that it may take extra time to get your vehicle back if you’re trying to leave at peak check out times.

Great location for the price. Decent hotel and very beautiful. Friendly staff. Don't believe in all the negative reviews you see here please. Things happen and we need to understand a little bit more that situations need time and effort to be resolved. Staff kept it professional even with some of the very rude guests. We're all human beings here. Let's treat our hospitality workers with a little more respect and kindness.

Wanted to try a more boutique hotel in NOLA. Some minor glitches but overall found the service exceptional. Room was very nice and CLEAN.
We go to NOLA quite often. We will stay here again. The ambience was great, staying in an historic French Quarter building.

It was a good location! I didn't have any issue with the room but lowkey I wished there was a microwave or fridge in the rooms. Maybe thats too cheapy for a hotel like this, but it wouldve great for the leftovers we brought home from our restaurant outings. Also the night-shift person at checkin is Matthew and he was really sweet.

From the moment I stepped into the grand lobby of Crowne Plaza New Orleans French Quarter, I knew my stay would be something special. This IHG Hotel effortlessly combines luxury with the vibrant spirit of New Orleans, making it a perfect retreat in the heart of the city.

What truly set this hotel apart was the exceptional service, particularly from Ms. Nira Fields. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine care for guests' needs was nothing short of remarkable. Every request I had was met with a smile and an eagerness to ensure my stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Whether it was recommendations for local dining or assistance with room amenities, Ms. Fields went above and beyond, adding a personal touch to her service that is rare to find.

The hotel itself boasts elegant rooms with breathtaking views, top-notch facilities, and a location that can’t be beaten. Right in the French Quarter, it was easy to immerse myself in the rich culture and history of New Orleans. The dining options at the hotel were superb, offering a taste of local cuisine with a sophisticated twist.

In conclusion, my stay at the Crowne Plaza New Orleans French Quarter was a 5-star experience, made all the more memorable by Ms. Nira Fields' outstanding service. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New Orleans, and I look forward to returning soon.

DO NOT STAY!!!!!
Rooms are very clean, but service in the Front Desk, Accounting department are horrible, front desk never answers the phone, accounting never reruns your call, my husband was charge for something after we left and as of today nobody has bother to return our calls. Total lack of professionalism, they act like if we are bothering them and they have no time for us. I wish we would have known about this, we would have never reserved.

This is right in the middle of everything and you can walk wherever you want to go. Parking is expensive everywhere so it's worth having your car parked Valet. The building is beautiful and even the hallways smelled nice. The elevators were always available.

Super classy hotel with great rooms and a fantastic location at the edge of the French Quarter.

We stayed a night here before having brunch at Antoine’s, and it was lovely. The valets, front desk staff and cleaning staff were very friendly and professional. The hotel itself was beautiful and very classy. And it’s location was ideal, right at the edge of the Quarter on Canal and an easy walk from most of what you’d want to do.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The beds were clean and comfortable, if a bit noisy. The furniture was in good condition and the bathroom was clean and everything worked well. Wi-Fi was good too. Only thing that could use improvement was the number of outlets and the outlets were old enough that the plugs couldn’t stay in, so charging devices was a challenge.

I was very impressed with how little noise from outside came through too!

Family stayed here, and we stayed in the King Suite. The only complaint I guess you would say is there wasn’t a fridge. Which for us was no big deal. We had a cooler, and there was a ice machine nearby that we used for water. Other than that this place was great. Right next to bourbon street, and I was a little worried at first when we walked in and seen packages of ear plugs on our bed for us. None of us had to use them. Noise wasn’t bad at all, and honestly it was better than I expected it to be. All of the employees were wonderful. Location was great once we gave our car to valet we never used it again until we checked out. Most places we walked, used the trolley, or lyft (which was reasonable compared to other cities). Rooms were cleaned everyday while we were there, and honestly I can’t say enough positive things about this place. Also the rooms were cold which was nice after a hot July day of roaming New Orleans. We will definitely be staying here again when we decide to visit in the future.

Considering that I booked my stay last minute, this was the easiest check in process and Darnisha was a big help! Any questions I had she was more than happy to help me and she also helped ease my mind with some concerns I had about location! Definitely would love to stay again and once again a big thanks to Darnisha for her help!!

This is a wonderful hotel. Gabriel at check in gave us great service and made us feel welcome. We loved the location and our room. The rooms have excellent views. Tom Tom down on the street and the other bell personnel were helpful with the loading and unloading process. I like the fact that they allow you to use a luggage cart yourself, unlike many large urban hotels.

This place was pretty good. I was worried after reading the reviews (I'd already booked) but I have no complaints. The only thing is, make sure you request a room on an upper floor or you'll hear the bucket drummers all night and early in the morning. We loved the pool, we loved the lobby (cool place to hang out with AC), we loved the restaurant on site. All was good!

The staff were very friendly and helpful!! The valet, bellman, bar tender, service desk, and house keeping staff were all fantastic!! Our room was also very nice with great pillows. They have a really nice fitness room and the pool terrace was a nice space. Sometimes a little crowded on the hot summer day. Over all it was a fantastic stay!

The proximity to Bourbon Street and all the restaurants and cafes on Canal street was very convenient. Everything was within walking distance. The hotel and staff were great, absolutely no complaints.

First time in the French quarter. It was hard to find the entrance but the hotel was amazing. We got upgraded to a suite due to ihg status. We did the drunkin tour and Coti was our guide. He was amazing! The valet were awesome here as well. If you choose to self park, be careful, but valet was $50 for each vehicle and we had 2. We would definitely come here again! We enjoyed it! Very clean and comfortable.
