The sandwiches are ginormous! Fresh ingredients, lots of flavor. The exploded southwest baked potato had just the right balance of creamy cheese, spicy chicken, taco toppings and potato. I was actually surprised at how good it is! My meal mate loved his sandwich, packed with Italian meats.

Absolutely love the food here at Friscos. Absolutely delicious. Nice atmosphere, good friendly people. Have to come by on a Friday evening.

Food is great! Staff is nice but not very quick to help or direct you. It's best to call and order ahead and pick up unless you want to eat in. Picking up a drink 🍷🍻 next door when you pickup is a pretty nice set up. Over all I love the food from here.

May 13, 2023 ( Compilation) - Over the years, this is my favorite Sandwich & Soup & Sides location in the Frederick, Maryland area! 😃👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Not fancy , but they do GOOD FRESH FOOD !

My wife discovered this eating establishment 20 years ago! As a Sales Rep, she would take clients to AKA ( also know as) Frisco’s for lunch. Located in an Industrial Park, it’s not fancy , but the sandwiches & soup are homemade & fresh ! Heck, we purchased platters of sandwiches & sides of potato salads & sides of Exploded Potatoes for our daughter’s bridal shower! Reasonably priced, good food in quantities to fit amount of people for your specific event!

Personally, these folks specialize in SANDWICHES! They make the breads too!

Soup of the Day specials rotate with fresh homemade selections. On this day I ordered the Maryland soup. . . White beans, celery, ham, corn, red peppers! 😃👍🏼 Good, wish it had some crab 🦀?

You walk up, order off their gigantic menu board. I recommend their homemade sides:

Besides Sandwiches, you could order BBQ items, Pulled Pork, or Wings! I tried their POKE wings. ( Hawaiian style & Asian mix)
I would recommend after they bake their wings, go the extra step, fry for the A+!

After you place your food order, you walk toward several beverage refrigerators. . . Select sodas, ice tea, green tea, fancy non-alcoholic drinks. They do offer a good variety of beers. After you pay, relax at a table and they call you up for your food in 10 to 15 minutes! There’s 7 to 10 tables inside, and outside seating through a side door leading to a patio with lights aglow at night! Remember you’re in an industrial park, so no lake or Mountain View. Overall the food is great, just imagine you’re overlooking San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge. 😃👍🏼

First and foremost, I want to commend the staff. It was very busy when I came, and although the majority of the staff looked very young, they were so polite! Their customer service is amazing. Kudos to you guys! I tried AKA Friscos after reading reviews. I got the Cobb Salad and it was AMAZING. Very fresh. My mother got the Fat Boy Sandwich and she said their meat tasted high quality, they were generous with the meat and the lettuce, which she liked. And then of course we had to share an exploding potato! We got the Sante Fe. It was good. It was hard to decide what to get, because they have a lot of great options on the menu. The atmosphere was cool. I’ll be back!

Jake was amazing! He gave great recommendations on what to order. There was a delay to getting our food (which was still delicious!) so he kindly remade our entire order to-go *without us asking* because it wasn’t fresh. Thank you to Jake and the whole aka friscos’s team! The service was unbeatable and we will definitely be back.

Excellent lunch option in Frederick. Found Friscos from a Google search as we were passing through Frederick on our way home. So glad we decided to stop here to try it out. It's a pretty cool place with very basic facilities but the food was great and there is a bottle shop connected to the restaurant that you can get your own bottle of wine for service. We the Bar-B-Que wings, the Haight Ashbury, the Baja, and Sante Fe Chicken & Chips. Everything was very tasty and large enough to fill us up. Will definitely stop in again next time we're passing through Frederick to try something else off the menu.

Their potatoes are to die for... I literally believe they could kill you! I've always enjoyed each salad, sandwich, and/or meal I've eaten.
Seriously, they should have a scanner. If you have had the potatoes, the scanner will refuse to allow you to buy them again without a 3 month interval! They're so addictive people would "body swap" to bypass (correct term, eh?) the 3 month limit. 😃

This place is not only just good for its food but it's customer service is through the roof. The guy that gave me my food was absolutely fantastic. Their assortments of wine and beer are superb (this is coming from a guy who doesn't drink). There are poke wings taste so good and don't get me started on the exploded steak potato with bacon on top. délicieux

I got the BBQ beef and exploding potatoes. The potatoes were great and the beef was good, but I feel like with a 1/2 lb of beef and then a savory side having something sharp like any type of pickle or alternate texture would have been nice. Staff was great.

Top notch sandwiches, so many varieties you will want to go back to try more. The exploded potatoes are delicious. The staff is great! The outside is a bit misleading, I probably never would have tried it, but word of mouth told me otherwise. We enjoyed it and look forward to the next time.
Another visit and another amazing lunch! This time I had their famous chicken salad sandwich. It definitely lived up to the hype!

First time here & everything was SPOT ON!
Service great. The staff at the counter gave us a quick run down & samples. Me & my wife did a challenge where we chose an item from each section. We got a salad, Sub & chili.

Nice local lunch spot that isn't a chain. LOADS of options. Would be nice to have Gluten Free options called out on menu board. Would also be nice to have menu and sign posted just outside door explaining process (order under menu board, take ticket to register to pay, they'll call your name on other side of where you ordered)

This has been a favorite place to get sandwiches, salads and wonderful baked potatoes for many years. Their exploded potatoes are are legend. Everything we've ordered has been delicious. Their menu is delightful to read and choosing what to order can be challenging, too many yummy things to choose from...a foodie's dream. The staff are always lovely. I've used them to cater and have never been disappointed.
The atmosphere is super casual and fun. A great place to meet up with a group of friends or a fun date night. Also kid friendly.
They are a bit off the beaten trail but worth the effort of finding them, once you've been there you will be sure to return.

Always delicious. I came in 25 minutes to closing and not for one second could you tell. The staff were chill and assured us not to worry, the food was hot and fresh (always recommend the sante fe w exploded, but everything is great) overall this place is always a 10/10 and they have beer 🍻

Great staff... excellent food! Exploded potatoes were amazing and we tried a few of the sandwiches...all good and all good the next day heated up! Definitely recommend and we will be back!

What a GREAT find! Everything we ordered was delicious. The portions are HUGE so we had enough leftover for at least two more meals. The hummus was my favorite. The service was excellent and the employees were super friendly. We'll definitely be back if we're ever through Frederick again.

A must-try for anyone in the area! Sandwiches are amazing and their exploded potatoes are to die for. If you're a drinker, they have an interesting variety of beers to choose from. The restaurant is a little tucked away, but it's easy to get to. (Which is nice considering how congested other areas of Fredrick are.) Employees may be slow to take your order as they're getting sandwiches out, but it's worth the wait.
