I had a great first visit at this office! For background, my previous dentist’s office was not very warm and welcoming and making appointments with them was like pulling teeth (no pun intended). It was so easy to make appointments here and upon entering everyone was so welcoming and kind. Both of the hygienists I saw were kind, knowledgeable, and easy on my teeth (which is honestly so refreshing because at the old dentist they would be very rough, especially flossing my tight contacts). When I found out that I needed a crown today, Dr. Burgess and both of my hygienists took the time to answer all of my questions. They also had someone come discuss what my insurance covers so that there were no surprises at the end of the appointment. They did the temporary crown / filling same day and got me scheduled for all of my future visits. I feel well taken care of and everything was done in a thoughtful/ time efficient way! I highly recommend this office to anyone in the area.

This dental office is amazing! The front office staff was kind and helpful from the start of the appointment all the way to the end. They made it easy to understand my insurance coverage and costs of my appointment and they check in every step of the way if you need additional work done than what was scheduled. My hygienist, Barbara, was very kind and not judgmental despite not having been to the dentist for some time. She made it easy to understand the current state of my dental health and what we needed to do to get back on track. The dentist, Dr. Burgess, was helpful in fixing a chipped tooth and my smile is so much better. I’m so happy to have found such a wonderful to go to and will be referring my partner to start their care with them!

This was my first appointment. Let first start with the reception over the phone. They were very welcoming and pleasant and made every effort in accommodating my very limited schedule. Second, when I arrived I explained that I've been somewhat traumatized from my previous dentist and hope this was my last stop..she (woman at the front desk ) said " this will be your last ". She was right!! I found my dentist. Dr Burgess is the best. He speaks so calming ( which I needed after my experience) and took the time to listen and explain everything that I will need done. They get a TEN 10 10 10!!!

I moved to Frederick from Warrenton VA a few years back. I absolutely loved my Gainesville Virginia dentist but it was quite a trip to get there and back. My wife tried Monocacy River Dental first then asked me to try them. They are fantastic, they are gentle, efficient and not high pressure at all. They found an abscess during my last exam that I did not feel any pain from, they referred me to a root canal specialist who did a 3D xray and found I needed the tooth removed. Went back to Monocacy really nervous about having them pull my tooth. Thinking are they going to give me enough novacane, not to worry they were fantastic and I healed very quickly. Never even needed a tylenol it was relatively pain free. Took the dentist once I was prepped less than 5 minutes to pull the tooth. I highly recommend this practice.

Amazing staff who are quite meticulous and professional with their clients comfort and care. I was fortunate that they fit me in an appointment an hour after I first called due to a toothach. The moment I walked in they communicated effectively with the staff about my concern and wasted no time ensuring proper care was provided and offered such an affordable rate I was stunned.

Ken and his crew of super talented people at Monocacy River Dental Care go over the top with fantastic care and service’s rendered, I hope they stay put because I know I will not find better dental care in the Frederick area.

Shay was amazing!!! I had bad experiences with other dentists but Monocacy River Dental was kind and understanding. Shay was able to get x-rays that other dentist couldn't due to my severe gag reflex. Thank you Monocay River Dental!!!

The staff was very professional and polite, and answered all my questions I had, the dentist pulled my teeth quickly and painless.

I had to reschedule my new patient appointment and was able to that through a live chat option which is amazing. Once I went to my appointment everything from check-in to check-out was flawless. I was not left alone waiting for long periods of time. It’s a very well staffed office and the Dr. Burgess was super friendly and didn’t make me feel like I’ve gone all wrong with my teeth hygiene.

Dr burgess and staff are professional, kind, and proactive without being “pushy.” They are exactly what you want in a dentist. I have been there for several years and very happy with the service they provide.

I've been twice now and so has my husband, and we've been very pleased with the service. The staff are friendly, on schedule, and take time to listen to your needs and questions. They even fit us in when we showed up early. We never felt we were being pressured to do extra stuff that was unnecessary or used for the insurance money. If you're a new patient they are thorough so ensure you leave enough time for the appointment. Overall a great experience for something that most people dread!
