May's Seafood Restaurant

May's was great. Wife and I were visiting from out of town and we wanted a nice casual spot for some seafood. We ordered the crabcake dinner along with some hush puppies and stuffed mushrooms. Crabcakes were outstanding. Virtually all big lumps of crab. If had it to do over again I'd skip the green beans. Seemed like they were straight out of a can. I'd go back 100%.

On our way to Baltimore to watch the Os play baseball ,we stopped at May's for lunch. My wife and I love shrimp, and they had some great shrimp. Not to mention, the Crab balls were awesome. The craps looked delicious but didn't have time to try them . It's a nice little place with good food and the people kept coming and going the whole time we were there. Next time we are in the area, we will stop again.

Had to venture out to Frederick for a mom & son date to end the summer. Our sever was Doug he’s amazing! The jumbo shrimp, red Royal shrimp and the lump crab cake was our fav! Hush puppies, crab legs, onion rings were great too.

Always great food and awesome staff! Happy to see they are back open for the season. Tried their Shrimp Po Boy and hush puppies and it was really good. The restaurant itself has a by the beach vibe. I have also had their crab legs and shrimp and they were good. Definitely check this local Frederick spot out if you haven’t already!

It's one of the best seafood restaurants I've been to. Very nice staff! AYCE crab legs, crabs, clams, and mussels. There was way more, but there was too much to list here! Regular menu items as well. Glad we went early due to limited parking.

I'm a fan of soft shell crab and May's didn't disappoint! Best I've ever had! My son had been to May's before and he knew right away that this was where we were going to celebrate my birthday because I would LOVE it (not to mention he would get another chance to order their fried oysters!). Great food and a friendly staff guarantees great atmosphere!

Thank you for keeping the crab cake real, simple and authentic! Feels just like visiting the eastern shore, they treat you like family.

Great experience! We absolutely loved Shannon! She was the best waitress we’ve ever had, our drinks were never empty, and she kept our plates full!!

Stopped by for the first time on the way to the airport and wow! The service was fast and friendly, bang bang shrimp were delicious and you get a good amount, & the crab cake was 100% crab meat..amazing! I’ll be back anytime I’m in town.

The staff are always friendly and the food is always delicious. They are not stingy with the ayce and sitting on the patio is an added touch. We recommend to anyone in the Frederick area. The owners go out of their way to make their customers feel appreciated.

Had a great Anniversary Dinner on the patio. Oysters were fresh & tasty. We had all you can eat Crab, Mussels, Clams & Shrimp. Fries, hushpuppies, crab soup & coleslaw too. Lots of food, fast service and cold beer! Perfect. 🩷

Who doesn't love May's? Every time I'm in Frederick (I live in Ohio) for work, I make it a point to stop at May's. This time I brought my 16yo daughter with me and we got the seafood feast. We were in heaven. It was so good and we both ate almost everything on that gigantic platter. The seafood is fresh and delicious. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed going to lunch with my Queen Genesis Vaughn-Smith while on my day off. The food was AMAZING and reasonably priced. We got to have crabs for the first time in a long time and they were seasoned just right . The Fried Basket was delictable, and the curly fries were phenomenal 😍

Our waiter Robert was the best, he never let our drinks get on E. He was always right on time! The crabs were juicy perfectly cooked, and well seasoned, the muscles were equally delicious not overcooked, the baby clams were so cute and I don't usually like them but those baby ones were the perfect amount. The hush puppies, coleslaw and soup were also great! I only had one drink 😳ikr shocking but it was on point got me where I needed to be lol a definite must go! There was indoor and outdoor seating, the outdoor is under a tarp or something covering it so I don't think rain will be an issue, but I'd call to make sure!

Omg, I loved the Crab 🦀 lags, plus other seafood I got, they were so fresh and so tasty, and my husband got the Poboy oyster sandwich - was so good, he said was the best he ever had, It's definitely a must-try! We are from Ohio and were traveling for a short time we wanted to try the local food and it was the best choice! It's a family-owned and super-welcoming place!

Always a favorite when we're in the area. Our waitress, Lisa, was the best! She knew it was a family get-together in honor of our Dad who passed away 3 years ago, and didn't hurry us along at all. If you want the best seafood in the greater Frederick, Maryland area - run, don't walk to May's.

Went for lunch .. the Oyster blues were delicious. The crab cake sandwich was excellent with tons of lump crab and the cream of crab soup alone is worth the drive. The staff is great. Can't wait to go back.

THIS WAS AMAZING!! A true Maryland staple and great experience. That crab is magical. I had 2 trays of straight fire (great) Blue Crabs. Can’t wait to come back and visit again.

I went to May's for some food and drinks with some friends. They food was tasty and the staff was great. Our sever, Allison was dressed as a Pink Lady as it was spooky season, was super fun and really took care of us. We will be back for some more great food and fun time.

May's was tremendous! The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and they made our friend's 40th birthday celebration a wonderful experience. They even personalized the sign out front and offered to help us get some group photos. We highly recommend them for crabs and any upcoming events!
