We chose Melissa with Lisell Travel to help us plan and coordinate our destination wedding in Playa Mujeres, Mexico in September 2021 and it was the smartest move we ever made. Weddings are nerve-wracking enough, and destination weddings can be like herding cats! Melissa made the entire process SO easy. From helping us select a beautiful, scenic resort, well within our budget, to coordinating our guests' arrivals and departures, her assistance was instrumental in making our dream beach wedding a reality! We had so many questions for her and she patiently answered them all for us. Her knowledge of the Cancun/Playa Mujeres area, along with her personal relationships and experiences with the resorts (and even the private shuttle services) helped us make the right decisions throughout the entire wedding planning process. And while we had the unfortunate experience of tending to a medical emergency abroad; an event that not only cancelled our wedding but also extended our stay unexpectedly, Melissa was there with us every step of the way and I do mean EVERY STEP. In fact, we’re already planning our wedding vowel renewal trip and a family cruise using Melissa’s services.

Melissa was very hands on and available for all questions we had, and being our first trip to Europe we had a lot I would absolutely use Melissa (Lisell Travel) for any future travel plans.

These folks have traveled extensively and know who to call to get any problems resolved. Fortunately, with their experience, very few problems ever materialize.

Basically I paid thousands of extra dollars for Melissa to book my tickets, and nothing more. Never heard from her during the trip. No extra information other than the reservation info/confirmation emails and an info sheet with emergency numbers for various countries. A couple of the reservations weren’t even done correctly and we had to literally pay the price for it, not to mention the stress it caused and the time it took away from our trip having to correct the various issues ourselves. Overall I was very disappointed since we had heard such good reviews from other people who had worked with Melissa’s mother, and just assumed we would get the same level of service from her. It soured an otherwise awesome trip, and I unfortunately would not recommend working with Melissa.
