Tom Thumb

Nice grocery store with friendly people. It's not too crowded like the new HEB and I like the gas rewards.

Well stocked and tidy place that makes the shopping experience pleasant. The aisles may be dense but the produce area has quite a bit of breathing space. The Bakery section appeared to be short on Artisan products but the cakes appeared to be better than the average.

Almost any store can sell you milk, cheese, cereal, etc. What I value about Tom's Thumb is the extra little things they will do for a customer. I was looking to get some no caffeine Coke zero (not diet coke, there is a taste difference). I saw it at another store one day, and they only had a few twelve packs and not a good sale price. I walked into Tom's Thumb, and saw the soda was on sale, and a guy named Rusty (maybe Dusty?) who worked in the soda department was standing in the aisle stocking. He asked if I found everything, and I mentioned I wish they had the no caffeine coke zero, and how hard it is to find, and with the sale they were doing I would load up.

He asked how many I wanted, explained the truck came in Tuesday, and the sale ended Wednesday, and he could order as many as I would like and hold it for me. If I picked it up by Tuesday night, I'd get the sale price. Then he told me the hours he worked, and said come in any time Tuesday night, and he'd give them to me. It all worked out. He then said if he could ever do the same thing for me, to just let him know.

That's customer service, and something I love about this store!

Wonderful experience. Store is clean and very organized. Service was great. I needed help finding and item and the reps were helpful. I left my wallet in the store basket. When I went back to the store, a rep remembered me and had already locked my wallet up for me. Awesome

Normally when I write a review of grocery stores, it’s a long list of gripes. This time, I was very happy. They had everything on my list, and it was a long list since I haven’t been to the store since before Christmas. This store has a large selection of fruits, vegetables and dairy, which is the majority of what I buy.

I got a craft beer that was normally $11.99 for a 6 pack that was reduced by $4 by my reward card and then half off that price!

I just discovered the Quest Diagnostic office INSIDE the Tom Thumb at Legacy and Coit. I printed out the orders for blood work from my Doctor, made an appointment online and had my blood drawn in 12 minutes! I was impressed.

I’ve been going to this tomb thumb for years and it’s always well stocked and I’ve never had any problems with employees. A great grocery store if your not looking for specific brands since it’s relatively a small store.

Got Tony Chachere’s Jalapeno Butter Injector here with some chickens to smoke. Turned out really good!

The staff here is very very nice and the store is always clean. The manager Dustin Perry is very accommodating and super willing to help. He’ll stop whatever he’s doing and help you with what you need even if that means going across the store. Great guy, great store.

They have really made sure you feel safe and protected in there. They are consistently wiping down and cleaning all surfaces. If you have any questions they're always there to lend a hand and help you find what you need. They have protective barriers between you and the counter attendant. They also wipe down the self check-out after every customer to ensure that you are safe. This is one of the few places I've seen actually monitor this are and make sure it is done correctly. I will for sure be shopping again here soon. Just wanted to say nice job

Lots of room in produce area for people to spread out. And it is a very good selection. This store is laid out a little different then others I go to but still had everything we needed. I like using the reward program, saved a lot on meat and other stuff.

How often do you go to a grocery store and have a positive experience? You normally don't think about it but the customer service at this tom thumb is outstanding. The have a gem of an employee, Kahari, who is always fun, positive efficient, and remembers his customers. I hope management knows how excellent he is and that he makes people want to come back!

Some good deals if you watch closely. I only wish they carried my brand of coffee and hubby's Lipton tea pods.

Clean, wide, social distancing marked , one way aisles. Great prices, good availability of items, easy self checkout, friendly customer service and cashiers. I am going here more often though it is farther than two other big grocery stores from my home.
