Dockside Restaurant on York Harbor

Dockside is one of my favorite wedding venues to photograph! I've shot many weddings there and I've loved every one of them. The staff is top notch, the grounds are beautiful, and view is unmatched, and during your reception you'll probably be visited by a nosy great blue heron. He's popped up at most of the weddings I've shot there. There are so many wedding venues in Southern Maine, you probably can't do any better than Dockside.

We came here for my friend's birthday and the food was incredible! I had the Pork Shank special and the meat just fell off the bone. It was absolutely delicious. Everyone cleared their plates. Our server, Charlotte, was great! The view was very pretty. Excellent evening.

Our stay encompassed several days in early October of this year and it was our first time staying there. Accomodations were excellent and we look forward to staying again in the future! The attached photo of the sunrise speaks to the quality of the atmosphere! The lobster rolls served at the deck by the water were spectacular!!

My husband and I were married here last weekend and we could not have asked for a more wonderful place to have our wedding! The venue is absolutely beautiful, the food (especially the passed appetizers) is delicious, and the staff who made our night possible are incredibly kind and helpful. Heather made planning our wedding easy and the day was perfect! Kendra was so helpful and the food was amazing! Every single person on staff was phenomenal! They were also incredibly accommodating of dietary restrictions. Thank you so much for helping us have the perfect wedding day. And if you have a chance to stay at the Guest Quarters on site, DO IT!! The view of the water is wonderful.

Our wedding at Dockside was absolutely beautiful. The harbor looks so nice when you’re outdoors for the ceremony & cocktail hour, and the indoor reception was comfortable for our 120 guests. Our guests complimented the food and drink throughout the evening. Heather answered all of our questions leading up to our wedding, and come the day-of everything ran so smoothly — we were guided through the day, got everything we’d asked for, and didn’t have to worry about a thing.

We had the perfect wedding day at Dockside! I loved the venue at first sight, and Heather was so helpful with planning throughout the year. She was a calming presence throughout the busy day, and her team made everything run so smoothly. Our guests kept saying how beautiful everything was and really enjoyed themselves, especially since it was a majority of their first trips to Maine. I really appreciate how flexible the team was with us adding an extra hour to the reception since everyone wanted to keep the party going. The oceanside ceremony with the boats in the harbor and the intimate reception at the restaurant with a hopping dance floor made everything exactly as we hoped for our big day. Thanks again to the Dockside team!

Had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Our server Brittany was great, the place was packed and she always seemed to come back to the table at the right times. Dockside in my opinion has the best food York has to offer and if not the best, easily a top 3 view as well. We showed up early for our reservation and were still able to be seated and moved to an outside table. The prices are not the for the faint of heart but I believe in paying for quality, and that is what you get at Dockside. Definitely stopping in the next time we are up that way!

I've photographed several weddings at the Dockside Restaurant on York Harbor and it's always been a great experience! The staff is so accommodating and organized, which makes my job that much easier. The venue itself is beautiful! It's such a gorgeous location to get married. I highly recommend the Dockside Restaurant for anyone looking for an amazing wedding venue. You won't be disappointed!

I love this place!!! It's exceptional when the screened in area is open...You are able to dine and watch all the boats come and go while enjoying the wildlife!!! I usually get the special as I was told once it's always the freshest, but please don't hesitate venturing with the rest of the menu...Staff 5*, View 5*, Area 5*, Menu 5* and make sure you take a walk to the pier...Bon Appétit!!!

Lovely picturesque place. I played with a band for a wedding and the staff was very nice and accommodating. Beautiful setting!

Great meal! The best lobster roll I've had in a while. The server was excellent, and hunted down some crayons and paper for our three year old niece to color with.

From a beautiful view, to prompt and professional service, to a great menu, this place is a "must try". Perfect quintessential maine coastal harbor site. The restaurant is part of a bed and breakfast inn complex. The lunch menu had a good selection of apps and entrees and a full wine list. Ryan, our server, was friendly and professional. He was patient with us as we were more focused on taking in the view than studying the menu. His attentiveness was timely and responsive. Whenever in the area we will return!

This restaurant has an amazing View, and definitely some good food! Not only this Burger, but the decadent lobster roll. Maine has the best lobster no questions asked!

We ate outside on the patio here. It was a very nice restaurant with great customer service. Relaxing atmosphere and delicious food. Would 100% eat here again and recommend.

Really good lobster roll and the fish sandwich was to die for! Great tiki bar where dogs are welcome and very well behaved. Great time here 3pm-5pm in August.

My husband and I got married at Dockside last weekend (September 2022) with blue skies but 30mph winds. We still wanted to have the ceremony outside, and the staff was great at making sure all the decor was set up and not blowing around. Heather (the venue coordinator) was great at answering so many of my questions leading up to the event and set up the tables, desserts, decor, etc. exactly as I had imagined. She was also flexible with timing as the night went on, and was super attentive to our guests with limited mobility. The bartenders were awesome, and out photographer and DJ had worked with Heather many times before so it went seamlessly. The view was unbeatable, and I'm so happy we chose Dockside.

We had the brie appetizer, excellent! I had a spring salad and mussels and my husband had swardfish. Excellent waitress. Fun time!

Absolutely beautiful view on the water and delicious food. Reasonable prices and wonderful staff! Highly recommend!
