I have had to call this pharmacy pretty often recently, and the pharmacist I usually speak to is so helpful and knowledgeable. He has helped the experience of dealing with a new illness so much more tolerable by informing me on what to do to avoid interactions. I know it’s part of a pharmacists job, but anyone I’ve spoken to at the pharmacy has always gone beyond that and been so pleasant and helpful. I can’t imagine that’s always easy these days, so it’s appreciated.

I get all my prescriptions and personal needs from Walgreens in York, everyone there is helpful and friendly . I have never seen anyone in there without a mask on . I have seen people go in without a mask and they are immediately asked to put on a mask .

Decent pharmacy. Some staff rougher around the edges but working in a pharmacy isnt the easiest job yknow.

Snack, liquor, and food selection is fair to good for a pharmacy

Sure maybe not the best pharmacy ever, but it’s fine. No pharmacy we’ve tried in the area is actually that great. That said, the reviewer who wrote this really nailed it. We all know who this person is and cringe when she is waiting on us.

“The blonde lady with the spiky haircut is usually responsible for the worst part of my day, when I have to go to Walgreens. It's as if any request you have, even a completely reasonable one well within the scope of her job, is the biggest possible inconvenience and on top of that you've insulted her by asking.

I go to pick up my prescriptions with the same exact process every time. No one else has trouble with it. But when it's her, she's extremely rude, and runs into issues no one else has trouble with and acts like they're my fault.”

My family has used this location as a primary pharmacy for years, but has recently transferred to competitor. It is unfortunate what has happened, but there is nothing to be done.

Essentially, the store has suffered from chronic understaffing. The employees have done their best to provide quality service, but you can tell it has worn them down. This has led to incorrect information being supplied, including prescriptions being overlooked, forcing us to go to other locations for medications which are not optional.

The pharmacy aside, the rest of the store is showing clear signs of neglect from understaffing. It has become so bad that they are closing during the weekends. Even the best staff can't save a location from ongoing mismanagement.

tl;dr avoid this location if you can. Go down the street to Hannaford.

I want start off by saying everyone at the pharmacy is perfectly pleasant and helpful - with one exception.

I highly suggest she finds a different job- one that doesn't involve people. She clearly doesn't enjoy working with customers, or even certain coworkers from the conversations I've heard her have.

Sometimes the pharmacy is open on weekends, most times not. As someone who works during the week, this presents a inconvenience. Will be moving all prescription needs to another pharmacy. Done with this Walgreens.

Pharmacy abruptly and apparently permanently closed on Friday. Tried again on Saturday. Also closed. People at the front said they don't know why no one showed up to work. Same thing again on Saturday. Nice job Walgreens. I need my prescriptions that are ready to be picked up and now I don't know what to do.

I got a prescription sent here to start antidepressants after a horrible breakdown that almost landed me in inpatient. The older blonde woman was very rude, aggressive, and unpleasant to deal with. Our whole interaction was miserable, the whole time she was letting me know how badly I was inconveniencing her. she was complaining about me so loudly after our transaction that I could still hear her as I left the front door. Look, I'm just trying to not kill myself. I will never fill my prescriptions here again, I don't care if it means going out of town.

My elderly mother bought a bring your own Simcard from another Walgreens location where the manager assured us we could return it should it turn out to be incompatible. When we found out it was she tried to return it to this location. Not only did they refuse an exchange for the correct Simcard, they also took my mother's receipt from her and had her buy the correct one. Way to take advantage of old folks Walgreens of York!

I went to this store on Saturday to pick up a few items and as I was entering, two tall young men walked out, not wearing masks. There was a sign on the door asking people to wear masks. I implore Rite Aid Management to mandate mask wearing and leave a sign on the front door that says: No Mask/ No Service/ State Law. The fact that the cashier did a transaction with them is unacceptable. They needed to be turned away. You gotta back up your sign with action when careless people walk in the store.
