I can't speak positively enough about the practice and Dr. Dakroub/Kaufman specifically. Someone recommended them as being LGBT-positive after I had some horrible experiences at UofM, and while discrimination is never good, I'm glad it ended up leading me here. They have consistently gone above and beyond, in all my experiences from basic mental and physical wellness to disability to family planning. I have never been dismissed, everything is explained to me, and we have always been able to have a conversation about my care. I wish all practices and doctors were like what they have here.

Dr. Dakroub has been my primary care physician for several years. She is responsive, empathetic, kind, and everything I could ask for in a physician. She also is extremely intelligent and has managed my rare disease wonderfully. I went from having some awful healthcare and reliant on a wheelchair to walking, going to the gym, and losing a significant amount of weight in two years. She has helped me through some of the toughest times in my life.

The office staff here are similarly kind, empathetic, and responsive. I enjoy interacting with everyone I meet at this office.

I highly recommend this practice for anyone looking for an inclusive, responsive, and awesome provider.

I need TEN stars!!! I had a tricky condition that my own PCP was clueless about treating. I came to IHP and got compassion, excellent care, and answers!!!! It makes all the difference in the world, having good healthcare!!! I cannot say how appreciative I am of this practice!!

Dr. Kaufman is the rare doctor who listens and takes time to look at the whole person, rather than just playing a game of whack-a-mole with symptoms as so many other doctors have done with me. I appreciate both her knowledge and her compassionate approach to health care. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes, which is impressive considering the amount of time she gives me at each appointment. We feel very fortunate to have our whole family (adults and kids) under her care.

I will echo the sentiments of other reviewers - Dr. Kaufman doesn't treat her patients and families in the industrial fashion that our system is producing today. She understand that we are a team, when working together for my best medical outcomes. When my son had to transition from pediatric care to adult care, he also chose to go with Dr. Kaufman. She also does a very good job staying up-to-date on the latest medical science and standards of care, which can also be hard to find. When she isn't abreast of something esoteric, she takes the time to look into it and get back with recommendations.

My family adores dr. Kaufman. She gives you as much time as you needs in her appointments. She is compassionate, and I have never left her office feeling insecure in our treatment plans. As a parent, she has empowered me to feel informed while making decisions regarding my children. Dr. Kaufman truly goes above and beyond.

Dr Kaufman is compassionate, skilled, intelligent and honest - these qualities combine to make the best Dr and possibly friend, because I do not think of her as just my doctor. After our third homebirth, my wife was not bouncing back as quickly as she had prior, Dr Kaufman came to our home for a visit and checkup - she even brought a bag of goodies for the family. I can not really express how wonderful this lady is!!!

Dr. Saunders is my doctor and has been with me now for about 3 or 4 years. I wish she'd been my doctor my whole life. She spends as long as I need listening and problem solving. I have had visits that lasted hours and others that were a half hour. I've waited really long amounts of time for her when she is busy and I could have gotten mad. I know she is helping people and she is worth the wait when there is one. She listens, problems solves, researches, tests and is just what I wish all doctors were-open to the idea that some things don't fit in a diagnostic box. I am grateful to her and I'm sorry for others who don't get to see her. My hope is that enough praise is given to make other docs take notice.

I found IHP when I moved to Ann Arbor, after working with a naturopath when I lived in AZ. After I found naturopathic and integrative medicine, I was forever changed. The medical providers at IHP are second to none (I have seen Diana Quinn, Jennifer Wolf, and now work with Dr. Elisa Picken as my PCP).

Every time after I leave an appointment with Dr. Picken, I feel calmer than when I left, valued, and cared for - truly the best MD I have ever worked with. Excited my husband can now join the practice under Dr. Zager too!

In my experience with Dr. Elise Pickens and Dr. Amanda Kaufmann, I highly recommend them both! They take their time and are much more thorough than any Dr. I have ever been to. They are not quick to throw meds at patients unless absolutely necessary and they give patients a say in their medical care rather than having a one size fits all mentality. I feel extremely blessed to have found Integrative Healthcare.

This is a great practice for naturally minded patients. Our whole family sees Dr Picken and we enjoy her. She’s open to all of our natural preferences and has a sweet bed side manned.

Dr. Kaufman is the most caring health professional I have come across in my short search for a family doctor. We will be seeing her until she retires!

I see doctor Saunders (after Dr Wolf left) and she has been wonderful. I have never had a doctor that was as patient or seemingly interested as these two have been. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

This office practices medicine at its best and is increasingly rare--humane, engaged, expert, and responsive. It is a great privilege to be a patient here.
