Loved this spot. Nice little day date.
The atmosphere and service were amazing. Drinks were fun. Daily specials and happy hour! Loved my breakfast mule. The coffee was delicious. Breakfast salad was simple but SO good. Great location for shopping and eating. Highland movie theater across the street.
We will be back.

I have been visiting this establishment since 2016 due to living within the area and have not really been back since moving away from the area in 2018. I made an effort in returning after all the COVID riffraff and I am happy to say that Highland Grill continues to have it together! When my partner and I used to visit back in 2016 and 2017, Kim, who was the manager during that time, was very courteous to us and would even take one plate off the bill everytime we visited! Unfortunately we do not see Kim around anymore this time returning, but it didn't stop us from having a wonderful experience.

The food continues to be good. I have had all the entrées from years ago like Steak & Pierogies, Lemongrass Thai Chicken, Beef Stroganoff, Seared Salmon, and more. They also used to have meatloaf which I loved. However, I do not recall them having Tuna Poke Bowl from back in the days, so I tried it this time. It was definitely a healthy version and not authentic, so I would advise whoever is looking for authenticity to avoid ordering it. However, I liked the combination of all the healthy stuff so I enjoyed it regardless, as a salad bowl rather than as a poke bowl.

Appetizers have always just been hitting different. The cheesecurds, the loaded tots, the pierogies, the brussels sprouts, everything tasted just like how they were 5-6 years ago and they were simply savory in the most positive way. I wouldn't change anything about any of those dishes.

I tried their beet salad this time as well, and I absolutely loved the combination of beets, goat cheese, carrots, and candied walnuts. I could see that they were trying to use alternative flavors to replace the earthy flavors from the beets and as much as I love beets personally, I appreciated the move. I thought they had an overall generous amount of beets included, which was a plus as well.

I love seeing Highland Grill thriving and I hope it continues to be like such. As I move from place to place, I love making an intentional effort to return to the Highland area just for the food here.

Sat morning 10:15 didn't have a reservation, but well worth the 35 min wait. Both the Thai lemongrass w/peanut sauce and breakfast melt were superb. This place never fails. Love the traditional farm-style options on the same menu as more creative flavors!

Upscale diner and a down home vibe. Small and cozy and certainly popular. We dined up at the bar and the staff was so friendly. I had the yummy sweet potato hash. Giant portion! My husband loved the fried chicken sandwich. I would recommend this place over and over again.

This place is a must for brunch! We love the Hot Hash and Holly. The service is amazing. The team is so friendly and on top of things.

Deserts are also top shelf. We ordered an entire peanut butter pie since it’s the best we’ve ever had!

The Brussels Sprouts, buffalo wings and pierogies were all great appetizers. My friends ordered buffalo wings and fish and chips. I ordered the grilled salmon. Everyone enjoyed their meals. My lunch was a little late but I didn’t mind. Our server was amazing! Too bad I’m flying back to Houston tonight.

First time trying the Highland Grill, wanted to try a new spot for sum breakfast. Overall the food was good. Good portion sizes , can’t wait to try the lunch and dinner menu.

This place is a personal favorite of mine. Service is great and the food is out of this world. Easily the best breakfast I have ever had!

Stopped by on Easter Sunday for a late breakfast/brunch. The dining room was full and we were able to get a booth without waiting. The waitresses were wonderfully friendly and dressed up for the holiday (bunny ears, face paint). The food was delicious and served quickly. The ambiance and decor was really fun. I overheard a little girl leave and say "bye, bye sweet restaurant" as she walked out. I agreed with her sentiments - a very sweet and cozy restaurant.

Was impressed they had a turkey burger here and it didn’t disappoint. It was so good and the staff here was super friendly and helpful.

These Brussels Sprouts are everything! Cute spot, friendly service and left smiling. The Brussels Sprouts were made with goat cheese and honey . Chef's Kiss. I will definitely be back to try the desserts next time. I love local spots like this in St Paul .

Love this joint! Every time I've eaten here the food has been fantastic! Whether it's the fried brussel sprouts or lemon ricotta pancakes or an omelet or sandwich. I've always had great service as well. Give it a try!

Friendly service and delicious food. We ordered the French Toast and Hot Hash & Holly (without mushrooms). Both meals were absolutely delicious. My wife and I ate half of each and swapped plates so that we could each reap the benefits. We'll be back next time we are in the area.

I have never heard of this place before,it was a recommendation!! Was looking for something new,and The Highland Grill did not disappoint!! I ordered the Holly hash,it was delicious, I also ordered 1 piece of French toast w/ Blueberry cream cheese,shaved almonds,and whipped cream....Amazing!! Will definitely be back ,it's close to home and they serve Breakfast all day!!

My last visit to Highland Grill was on April 16 2023 on a snowy & chilly day. The food here is delicious as always & never disappoints you! This time I ordered the Pesto Pasta which was very light. My large plate of Pasta with some vegetables left me very satisfied. Sometimes when you eat a large amount of pasta, you feel bloated. This is not the case at the Highland Grill. It tasted very good & it was light & not overpowering, just right! This establishment really knows how to make & create food, that is just a pleasure to eat. You just can't go wrong with whatever you order! Highly Recommend the Highland Grill. I really like their breakfast menu as well! Go there & enjoy!

Our early lunch at the Highland Grill was great. All of our selections were very good, and we had a friendly and helpful waiter. Our selections included a cup of tomato basil soup ($4.95), the Brussel Sprouts appetizer ($11.95), and Pierogies ($9.95). There is a 4% employee wellness charge added to the bill. Overall, it was an excellent place for our lunch outing.

Fabulous food and excellent service! The Thai Lemongrass Chicken was full of flavor, the homemade pasta in the Pesto Pasta was perfectly al dente and the Tomato Basil Soup was full of fresh goodness!

The food was absolutely outstanding and the drinks were perfect. The manager Dana was amazingly kind and professional and made us laugh a ton! My old fashion was perfect and the chicken lemon grass was a must have! Great food for a better value.

Pleasant place to sit down for any meal. Brussel Sprouts and cheese curds apps are baller. Breakfast options are served all day and were stated to be solid. Dinner foods were also very good. I like both side fry options, can't really go wrong with either one. The mocktails were ok, not amazing, but maybe you'll like them. Service was very friendly, but can get overwhelmed when bringing in large groups. Free Wi-Fi is there, password is on the wall. Free dessert on your birthday is a hella plus too.

This place is insanely good! The food was so fresh and made with so much love. The colors and flavors were so align it made you ask yourself if this was food or art. Either way, it tasted like a nap on a Sunday afternoon.

I am impressed with the GF, DF, and VG options. The waitress was very informed and accommodating.
