I needed gear to hang our first birdhouse properly and the folks at WBU in Highland Park were great. Not only the perfect hanger but a ring to protect the opening from predators. Now we await two fashion forward birds; my grandson is very happy. If you agree that knowledge, courtesy and friendly attitude make a better “shop local” experience try this place.

Awesome store for bird fans. I stumbled upon this local gem while waiting for my car at the mechanic and Skip was so friendly. I loved the serene bird sounds music playing too, and the t shirts they sell for fans of their store cat. Sadly, I didn’t get to meet the cat this time but I’ll be back.

Great place for bird supplies (food, feeders, etc). I like the MN no-mess feed. And I always have to give the resident cat, Raven, some love while I'm there (kitty helps keep pests away). Workers are very friendly and helpful.

If anyone wants to get hyped about bird feeding strategies and supplies, we can highly recommend Frank at Wild Birds Unlimited on Ford Parkway. We spent almost an hour with him, learning the ins and outs of various seeds, equipment management, local bird varieties and migrations, changing climates, places to visit across MN for great birdwatching, great places to take someone new to MN, and we did it in English AND German. Frank almost forgot to sell us anything 🤣 Can’t wait to go back next weekend with our progress report on our backyard setup for Frank!

No the place like it! Super knowledgeable about local birds, feed to attract them, and has a great stock of feeders, and books.They have custom feed that is very reasonably priced, and a feeder system that is fantastic! Highly recommended. Now I sit on my patio in the mornings, watching many varieties of song birds feed in my yard as I drink coffee and listen to their soothing songs.... wonderful start to a day!

I’m a first time feeder of the birds and I went in pretty much not knowing anything. Barb was extremely helpful, gave great guidance, and explained all the basics to me! Also got a 20% off my next purchase coupon for being a new customer! I will definitely visit again!

My happy place. They know everything about birds, have a shop cat named Raven, and play calming nature sounds. They have bird-related gifts too. Oh, and did I mention that they have high-quality bird seed?

The staff here is always so knowledgeable and helpful! Been going here for a few months now and I dont think I'll ever go anywhere else. Birds absolutely love the seed I buy from here and you can't beat the price! Would highly recommend stopping by for any and all of bird needs!

Without a doubt the place to buy food for the birds. The quality is so much better than from the hardware store or other other places; it’s a noticeable difference in attracting the birds.
