14A-4 District Court

Small place. Friendly people.

Lady at window was pretty rude. My husband is not good with paperwork asked her if they needed him to sign or print his name and she gave attitude and said well does it say print or sign? Also the website PDF file on fees has not been updated since 2018! Went in thinking we need to pay $120 for a speeding ticket to find out it was $210.

I called and asked them to lift the 625G permit on my Restricted license on January 22nd (per the dates mandated by the Department of State's Order Of Action), where I then I get a letter in the mail a week later saying my driving privilege had been denied and revoked for multiple convictions... ?

*I have only ever had this 1 conviction*

Turns out, instead of lifting the 625G, the lady I spoke with over the phone at 14a4 ADDED another conviction to my driving record- per incorrect dates brought up during my court zoom meeting with a judge, where nothing had evidently been amended. I guess the button to condemn a person or help one out are right next to each other on their keyboard or mouse.

The difference between these 2 situations being that I get to reinstate my license in February 2022, as opposed to: having to go through an appeals process through OHAO (but not until March 1 of 2023), have a 12-panel drug test, provide letters from people in your life putting pen to paper for your sake, uber/lyft everywhere, have family or friends drive your around everywhere and a few other things... all because the wrong click of a button. The difference is an entire year...

She has since corrected the error, and good thing she remembered who I was/it was the same lady who answered, thank God. Still massively disappointing, nonetheless, and as sweet as they sound over the phone... follow-up follow-up FOLLOW-UP with them and trust them to be who they are: fallable and held unaccountable. I'm not perfect, but I now know beyond a shadow of a doubt that this system in place could improve their qualitive assurance to people they provide service for.

Also she said to give it a week before my driving record is updated on all the systems on their end... yeah dont worry, I dont have things like work, groceries, errands, responsibilites, or people counting me. Please, take your TIME in straightening out my record. Might as well be subject to the possibility and stress of going to jail during this time on a wrongful count of multiple convictions as I myself, and noone else, has anything better to do than to be at the behest of a machine with 15 different parts with hardly any oversight or accountability, with literally most of the agents just shrugging off what I had been saying all along and they arent "that department" and "youll have to speak with these people".

So yeah, 1 star. Id give it zero stars if it was an option. 🤷‍♂

Very small. Scheduled maybe 100 people all at 9:30am, but didn't see any of them for 3 hours. Made it quicker and easier for a class of students tho. The staff was rude and short with people. The judge was barely present and took a recess every 15 min. This place is unorganized, lazy and the worst court I've ever been to. A traffic ticket should not take a full day to handle. They really need to rethink their procedures and how they run that place. It was a joke the whole day there. Livid with this place

Was issued a speeding ticket (which I earned), and was told by the Deputy to call the court within 10 days. My wife called the court on day 10 which was a Friday, and was told the ticket was $120. I asked my wife when it was due, she said she didn't know, she didn't ask. So I called the court on Monday and my ticket was now $150 because it was late. Apparently it was due on the 10th day when my wife called but she was not told that. It would seem that would be a good piece of information to have from the court when you call on your ticket. The lady I spoke with, Ms Brunson, was very rude and constantly tried to talk over me.

I got an email address from another bad review and emailed Ms. Fusik. I told her I was a little upset the cost of my ticket went up 25% because it wasn't paid in 10 days when I didn't even know it was due on day 10. She said there was nothing she could do and I could contact Magistrate Fink.

On June 20th I sent Magistrate Fink an email explaining my situation and asking for the $30 to be waived on the ticket. On the 24th I sent her another email inquiring if she was out of the office or on vacation because she had not responded to my email. Here is her reply:

Mr. : Yes I was on vacation only returning today. However, I was told that you received a response from the court about your question already. I have nothing to add to the answer you already received. It seems that you may have misunderstood Mrs. Fusik’s reply to indicate that email was an appropriate way to contact me, although she said “If you would like to write a letter to Magistrate Fink at the Saline location (1000 N. Maple, Saline MI 48176) and ask her to waive the bond requirement to schedule the hearing or waive the default fee, you may.” Email is not the correct way to contact my office.

Pretty rude eh? They expect me to communicate with them by snail mail? I'm sure by then my license would be suspended for not paying my ticket at who know how much more it would have gone up. Obviously the rudeness of Ms. Munson comes from above with Magistrate Fink feeling they are above people. I mean read her last line in her email, "Email is not the correct way to contact my office." Your office? I was trying to contact you, not your office. Snail mail, really? Aren't your jobs to help people and answer their questions? Why be so rude? If you had jobs where customer service depended on you keeping your job, you would not have your jobs. But just keep your bad attitude and keep being rude to people because there is nothing that anyone can do about it....

Had a ticket on the sep 12, I lost it. Called on the 14 spoke to ericka still not In. Called on the 23rd , still not in, called in today October the 4th guess what? It overlapped now I have to pay more 🙌🏼 All because these folks don’t know how to properly take care of business. How to properly file paperwork, how to get to a number log, and check the facts. That’s crook behavior.
I guess my wrong doing means more wrong doing from the city ! Oh the knowledge behind that

Trash just like the chelsea location. You call them 3 times and sent to voicemail, you go there and no one is there during open business hours. Pretty sad if you ask me.

Very unfriendly, every time I’m there I feel like I have to walk on my toes just for them to be willing to answer basic questions.
