Eureka Valley libary branch is a wonderful place. You can casually browse the stacks for a book to enjoy. You can catch up world news with daily newspapers--you can even enjoy a paper by the fireplace. This branch has access to the entire San Francisco library collection. Just visit the website, search for the book you want, ask the it be delivered to this branch, then pick it up at this branch in a couple of days.

In a world of deteriorating customer service, the service I received at the library was a refreshing exception. I needed help navigating a cumbersome scanner / printer and the staff (two different people on two different days) could not have been more patient and helpful!

Helpful, quiet, close by! The team is friendly and helpful. There is a fireplace in front, so nice I had to read a chapter b4 I left

Nice neighborhood library with friendly staff. The fireplace was cute and gives the place a comfortable vibe. They also accept book donations in small quantities!

I love the fact that an icon and hero of the LGBTQ Community has a great library named after him.

The book selection surprised me. Normally a small branch library have a small selection, not in this case.

They have DVDs, blueray, all types of documentaries, foreign, etc for free. Why buy or rent when you can borrow.

The restrooms are very clean. Staff are friendly, knowledgable, and quick to help. Stop in and chat about your favorite movie, book, or everyday events.

Plenty of parking and self checkouts. Come make copies, use a computer, read, or do like I do, catch up on past letters.

Come in and sit a spell.....

Honestly, this place is better with the COVID partial closure. The staff is as nice and helpful as always, but there are no more homeless. I feel so sorry for the staff and what they have to put up with w.r.t. the homeless in their bathrooms and reading areas... gross! SFPL is not a homeless shelter!

Critically important: The outside area has been re-landscaped in 2018 to discourage people from hanging out on library property and adjacent sidewalks and an on-site security person to maintain safety (especially children) and enjoyment by patrons.

This library is located on 16th street. This is my favorite Sf library for many reasons.

It is always easy to find parking here.
The staff is very nice and helpful. When picking up books, they are very fast and efficient.

In and out in less than 10 mins even when there is a line.

Great neighborhood library with a beautiful space for children’s books. Small parking lot with just a few spots. Open right now for convenient Hold book pick ups.

I was able to get a free parking spot at 8am, therefore the five stars. Usually one isn't so lucky. My next stop is Ocean Beach where parking isn't a beeach....

The library named after the civil rights leader Harvey Milk. It has a very large section of LGBTQ literature. It is also very LGBTQ friendly and the staff is very nice.

Very quiet (it is a library after all), beautiful architecture, bigger than it looks, very helpful staff.

Service is always friendly, computer check out always works, and the place is generally clean with the exception of the occasional visitor who needs professional help.
