Stopped in for a quick lunch after our Alcatraz tour and we were not disappointed! Had one dozen raw oysters and the truffle Parmesan fries. Fresh, delicious! Our server was also lovely and the entire service team was attentive and friendly. Don’t miss this popular place!

We dined during SF Restaurant Week 2024. Waited for bar tops to open as Steve, one of our favorite server/bartenders, promptly greeted us and assured us they'd open up shortly. Even something as simple as that welcoming greeting goes such a long way to elevate the whole experience. He was right, 2 seats opened up and Steve promptly gave us settings and menus. Their Restaurant Week menu is a great value for $90/pp and is large enough to share, which we did. A dungeness crab cake to start, then dungeness cocktail piled high and super fresh. Couldn't pass up the clam chowder which has stayed consistently rich and delicious with sourdough bread. A whole cracked roasted dungeness crab was our indulgent entree and even small details like the elegant way the lemon wedges are cut brings extra elegance to the plating. We chose the amazing cannoli dessert to end an amazing meal. Super satisfying Restaurant Week dinner. Can't wait to come back. Steve, thank you for the impeccable service and awesome old fashioned ;)

Thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Scoma's on Saturday! Even tho it wasn't perfect weather, we made the trip to SF and had such fun! Our bartender Steven was wonderful, and he is the epitome of good service. Please go visit, you will not be disappointed. I had the butternut squash risotto and 4 jumbo prawns! YUM! My hubby had the wagryu burger, so delicious and juicy!

Went to Scoma's for Restaurant Week 2024 and we were not disappointed! For people who don't know of Scoma's, its a classic San Francisco seafood restaurant on the pier. With the waiters still wearing white jackets and traditional wood panel walls, it encompasses everything you could recall from great restaurants from the past.

Dinner was great, we started with a Dungeness crab cocktail, followed by a perfect bowl of clam chowder. Our main course was a fresh steamed Dungeness crab covered in a yummy garlic butter. And for desert we had one of the best cannoli I have ever had! The whole prefix dinner was $90 and worth every dime.

Had a meal here whilst visiting San Francisco as we were told ‘it’s where the locals eat’. The location isn’t very scenic, it’s nestled down a road surrounded by industrial space for the fishing industry on the docks. Inside it’s rustic with wood panelling but surprisingly large. The waiters are generally older men and you get the vibe this is quite a ‘historical’ place. The service is good and my family of 5 ate really well. The food was great and I enjoyed the Seafood Mixed Grill. My 10 y/o loved the mussels marina too. I’d recommend this place but expect to pay top prices e.g $45 for the seafood grill.

We showed up for dinner without reservations on a Saturday night at 5:30 during Fleet Week. We were told the wait would be an hour and 10 minutes. Three minutes later two spots opened at the bar, so we dined there. Frances was our bartender and he was fantastic. So personable and attentive despite how busy he was. The food was very good. I had crab cakes and the roasted beet salad. My husband had the black cod. Th best salad had a wide mix of flavors and the crab cakes were delectable. The scenery off the pier after dinner was gorgeous.

Food: delicious. Service: stellar. The food isn’t cheap, but it’s the best we’ve had on the Bay. The service from bottom to top (hostess to server) was phenomenal — engaging & polite.

Scoma's seafood is truly exceptional. From the moment walk in, you can smell the fresh ocean air and hear the sounds of the bustling kitchen. The menu is extensive, offering a wide variety of options for seafood lovers of all kinds. I personally tried the crab cioppino and it was like nothing I've ever tasted before - the combination of flavors in the broth was absolutely divine. The seafood was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. The service at Scoma was top-notch, with attentive and knowledgeable staff eager to make your dining experience memorable. The ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall charm, with a beautiful waterfront view that truly sets the scene for a perfect seafood meal. I highly recommend Scoma for anyone looking for a top-notch seafood dining experience.

I had an excellent experience eating at Scoma’s. Decor is nice. Our waitress was very friendly and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the mixed greens salad, oysters a la scoma, cioppino, and black cod.

Sit looking out at the water from this restaurant on the warf. It has a fun and classic supper club feel, and superb seafood. The bartenders make very good drinks and can be creative with making your cocktail if you ask.

Scoma's was one of the highlights of my summer last year. It was at Scoma's that I discovered that I am, in fact, a Lazy Man who requires Lazy Man's Cioppino. The restaurant is lovely, tucked away on a pier. The service was wonderful -- the waitress was really nice and seemed to love the food.

The lazy man's cioppino was incredible! A warm, savory, thick tomato broth with perfectly cooked seafood. The mussels and clams were so juicy and succulent. The scallops (3) were so good, fat, and tender. The shrimp was yummy and not overcooked. The fish was well cooked -- not my favorite component, but still good. And of course, no need to get down with the crab shells since the crab meat has been pre-picked. I am a lazy man and this is my cioppino of choice. Definitely worth the price!

The Rockefeller oysters were meh; too much cheese and spinach. I've had better broiled oysters (Acme in NOLA!). The oysters themselves were good, but it was hard to tell under the cheese sauce.

We were seated next to a couple who had moved from the Bay to the East Coast, and cited Scoma's as a reason why they missed the Bay. I definitely want to return during future visits to SF!

Whenever I visited San Francisco, Scoma's was always my must go. Been to this one and Sausalito location, loved both.

As expected, food was top notch, service on point. Enjoyed my meal with beautiful view. Couldn't wait to go back.

Highly recommend.

During my visit to San Francisco a while ago, I had the pleasure of dining at this renowned restaurant nestled in the iconic Fisherman's Wharf area. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a stunning view of the water.

Upon the recommendation of locals, we couldn't resist trying Scoma's famous clam chowder, and it certainly lived up to its reputation. Creamy, flavorful, and brimming with fresh clams, it was a delightful introduction for my husband, who had never tasted clam chowder before.

In addition to the clam chowder, we also indulged in Scoma's Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich, and it exceeded our expectations. Packed with tender, thinly sliced beef and melted cheese, sandwiched between perfectly toasted bread, it was a comforting and satisfying choice.

The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and breathtaking scenery made our visit to Scoma's truly unforgettable.

Whether you're a local or a visitor to San Francisco, I highly recommend dining at Scoma's. With its delectable seafood offerings, cozy ambiance, and waterfront views, it's the perfect destination for a memorable meal in the heart of Fisherman's Wharf.

DINNER TONIGHT: our last night in San Francisco. I booked Scoma’s, right on the waterfront. It came highly recommended and lived up to its reputation. Great service by Heather; including a quick table side visit 3/4 through by the manager to check in with us on our dining experience. We shared clam chowder (8.5/10), a plate of Rockefeller oysters-yummy (9/10) and a main course. The mixed seafood grill had prawns, salmon, lingcod and true cod. They avoided the biggest issue with grilling flaky fish- overcooking it. The fish was tasty, and grilled to perfection. 9.5/10. Dishes accompanied by two glasses of Moscato d’Asti. Best meal We have had in the city

One of my all time favourite meals. We had Lazy Man's Cioppino and a glass of the Sauvignon Blanc from Sonoma and it was perfect. I could eat this every day.

We has such an incredible meal here. Aside from the food being delicious (the scallops were like butter they were so beautifully cooked) Ray, our server was an all round great human. He let me try the wines to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. Service was great and the place was so romantic with a lovely vibe. Next time we're in the country we'll be back!

Had a lovely late lunch with the family to celebrate Grandparents wedding anniversary. Kids loved the fish and chips, Mac and cheese and Tiramisu. Highlights for the adults included the Cioppini, oysters and fresh sole from Half Moon Bay. Service was excellent and setting was fantastic, authentic and traditional amongst the tatty touristy stuff of Fisherman's Wharf. If you are staying nearby this is a great highlight that you can walk to that is not a chain or fast food spot. Great.

Tried it here for the first time and loved it, their vongole is perhaps the best one I've ever tasted, and yes that's because it's super rich and buttery. We also loved their true cod with the mushroom spatzle, the true cod is much better than the black cod in my opinion. Their cioppino is okay, I'm not sure if it truly stands out, but the vongole pasta and the true cod were the best dishes we tried
