Smells absolutely delightful here! Like salt water and lavender. Make sure you wear comfortable sneakers and a jacket it was so cold today (4/26/2024). It is picturesque and worth the hike down, bring water and wear loose fitting clothing. Super nice views and the current is so strong! The view from the cave is fantastic make sure you go all the way down.

My third time visiting this place. I liked it so much that I had to bring my husband and his sister to experience the views and history. The first time I was here (October 2023) it smelled very badly - like stagnant water. However, when I went last week (April 2024), the flowers nearby were aromatic and there was no stench whatsoever!

Lands End trail leads to this place. A great place for a hike and workout. The baths once public now closed offer adventurous views. Visitor center nearby with toilets - very convenient. Cliff House and another beach close by.

Great place for romantic dates or cozy picnics. The surrounding nature offers a picturesque setting, complete with an intriguing cave to explore. Additionally, there are several beautiful spots perfect for photography. My tip: Visit this location in sunny weather towards the evening to capture the most beautiful moments and fully enjoy the atmosphere.

As a family photographer, Sutro Baths is unbeatable. The ruins of the old bath house leave geometric walls with pools of water between, creating unique compositions that highlight the connection between city and environment. And at the lowest tides, the beach becomes a great place for kids and dogs to run around. Be extremely cautious with kids at Sutro Baths, as there are unlimited edges that they could fall from.

Enjoyed the walk down to where the Sutro Baths once stood. Only left are graffiti walls and the baths in ruins. It’s a historical landmark, Was cool to see.

Sutro Baths during sunset is a must. Might be a little difficult to navigate for those who are not as able-bodied as there are stairs, steep hills in areas, and thin walkways if you want to walk on the ruins.

So pretty! I went on a good day, sunny but not too hot because of slight wind.

Camera obscura was closed when we visited. Wildflowers look beautiful right now.

Great place for scenic pictures. Right next to the sutro baths area is the Lands End trail. It's relatively short but there some routes you can take; down a flight of stairs to a small beach, golf course and if you go up a long flight of stairs, it will lead you to a neighborhood that can take you to China Beach or to Baker Beach that will lead you to the Golden Gate Beach. If you're a walker or runner it's definitely doable to go to the GG Bridge.
As a local, it's a great place to for a relatively short run or walk. On the weekdays it's less crowded and great to place to go after a hectic day of work.
There are 3 different parking lots. Sometimes you'll see law enforcement there to deter car break ins but you should always take out any valuables and bags out of your car in the city. Don't give any reason for someone to break into your car. It usually happens quick.

MUST SEE/DO!! This was really cool. Look up the history of the baths before going. Check out historical images of crowds watching performances there. Built in 1890’s and able to accommodate 10,000 people at one time! Amazing. Take a hike around the area and see the USS San Francisco memorial as well as incredible views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Lots of parking and plenty of turnover during the day makes spots open almost continuously. The information center has restrooms. Great place to spend some time.

Cool history and remains of the baths. Wish they were still around today. Would be an awesome bath house. Love the view of the heart cutout in the rock off shore. Made for some very beautiful sunset photos. Def a spot to catch a great sunset. Be careful and don't be one of the ones that needs rescued by being an influencer and getting washed away while taking a photo. Heard lots of accidents occur here. Keep an eye on the kiddos, many tripping hazards and sketchy areas (rusted metal remains etc)

Visiting brought back a lot of memories. from Louis restaurant and the Cliff house with the vintage arcade that has been moved to Fisherman's wharf.
I spent a lot of time from age 10 and 25 exploring here. Worth it every time I did.

Really fun little place to explore. Amazing views, refreshing air, and a nice little chunk of beach. Super relaxing place to take a pit-stop and go for a little walk/hike. I think they have some longer and shorter options, as well as some inclined access for those who can't use stairs.

A beautiful place! The lookout is to die for! If you are not in good health, I would not try to get to the top. It is a lot of walking and climbing up steps. Pictures do not do it justice. I definitely will visit again.

Beautiful views! The cave is really cool and has 2 views of the beach. There is a lot of parking and it’s free. Just be careful with your belongings.

I had a lovely day with my friend after finding that stunning place. Also, it's easy to park here. We found some graffiti on the ground; I don't know who did it.

I can only imagine how beautiful this place was in its heyday. Loved the walking trails to get to the bottom and around the baths. Lots of remnants to see. The cave with the blow hole is impressive. If you look closely, there's rock out in the sea with a heart in the center.

I've been here many times. Love it over and again every time. Gorgeous views. Fun hiking trails... as little or as much as you want. Go!

Beautiful piece of recent history. This bath house was active until the 1960’s at which time it was going to be turned to a skating rink. The rink never happened and the building was severely damaged by fire. This is a little slice of heaven on the cusp of the city. Lands end neighbors this site and compliments it well with some great easy hiking. Great for all ages
