Cheveux Salon

I moved to town four years ago and had trouble finding a salon that I liked. After three years of frustration, I made my way to Cheveux and knew this was the place for me. I have annoying cowlicks and other salons would not take them into account and just give me a "standard" hair cut, which I instantly dislike. Cheryl is very professional and knows hair very well. She listened to my concerns and was able to provide a hairstyle that I really enjoyed. I even bring my 5 year old daughter there and she loves getting pampered with a cut, wash and blow dry. The rest of the staff seems very lovely as well. Give them a chance if you have not tried them out already. You will not be disappointed!

I have had my hair cut here many times. Today was my best experience. Liz did a great job cutting my hair and provided some great tips on how to style my hair. Friendly and professional.

Megan has been cutting my curly hair for more than 2 years at Cheveux Salon. She is exceptional. She understands fine, curly hair and through the magic of her scissors makes it look thick. The Salon has an exceptionally friendly atmosphere. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Excellent experience at Cheveux salon today! I have thick, wavy hair and wanted something light and new. Jared knew just what to do. I love my new haircut and appreciate the kindness and attention I received from the Cheveux staff today.

We had an awesome experience with our first visit to Cheveux today. My daughter needed her hair cut and she hasn’t had much luck with the chain shops getting the style right. We were in Asheville and I searched for places nearby and Cheveux was on the top of the list. We stopped in to see if they had any openings. They told us they could fit her in around 4:00. We come back at 4:00 and the place was super busy. They checked her in and we sat down to wait. Jared the owner came over and told us the artist that we were scheduled with was running behind and offered to cut my daughters hair. I showed him a couple of pics of what she was looking for and off they went. 20 minutes later she had the perfect hair cut she’d been wanting and we were done. It’s not often you get that kind of service any more. Everyone there was friendly and helpful and made us feel like we’d been going there for years. My daughters hair looks amazing and she had a great experience. We will definitely be back. Thanks Cheveux for taking care of us today. We truly appreciate it!

I’ve gone to Jared for four years. He’s helped me with my curly hair—especially the changes in my hair in my later forties. He’s a hair God! Lovely personality. Amazing staff. Beautiful, clean salon. My teenager also loves getting her hair done there. Any stylist she goes to, she has loved including Megan, Jared and Jeremy.

Grab some wine while you get pampered there. It’s worth it.

Melissa always does an incredible job! She’s a master at long hair. She always takes my hair from looking scraggly to beautiful without chopping off all my length! She is amazing!

Lizette was absolutely amazing! I have had my bad share of hair cuts around Asheville and have been looking for a stylist for over 3 years now. I am happy to say I finally found my new hair stylist! She did a wonderful job and took what I said I wanted but used her professional knowledge to make it even better. The shampooing was magical and I had so much confidence in her that I closed my eyes and just relaxed for most of the hair cut! I already booked my next session. Very talented team here! I’ve had great stylists and experiences every time I go to get a fresh cut. This salon is in the cutest little shopping area with coffee shops, restaurants, a Barnes and Noble, and a large YMCA. I usually grab a latte before my haircut and toddle around the shops afterwards. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Jeremy. He has been doing my hair for a few years now. I love what he does to my hair and I really appreciate not being in his chair for half the day getting a cut and color. Salon staff is great and work hard to accommodate changes in my schedule.

I haven't stopped being impressed with Melissa at Cheveux since I started working with her to color my hair. She truly listens patiently to my ideas and offers excellent suggestions every time I see her. Melissa is a true color artist and professional who works tirelessly (and joyfully I might add) to please her clients. She is attentive, never hurried and truly makes me feel "cared for" from the minute I walk in the door. I gave her 5 stars in my review because she deserves them. The atmosphere in the salon is something I also enjoy. This is not your average salon. There are so many artistic touches and well thought amenities in the space you just feel good about being there. Additionally, they have an awesome line of hair care products. If I could choose only one descriptive word for both Melissa and the salon, it would be "excellence." You know that this is the collective goal of everyone you meet (from the receptionist to stylist) each time you visit. Best salon experience EVER!

Cheveux salon is absolutely amazing, I have been coming here for years. I first came to get my color adjusted a few months before my wedding. Jared did my color and my hair before my wedding and it was perfect. Since then I’ve been seeing Melissa who is incredible. My hair color is always exactly what I want, and she makes my experience every time I visit a true joy!

First time mens' cut with Melissa and she was fantastic. Gave me a great cut. She is very talented and kind. The salon was easy to find and a very nice, clean and comfortable feel.

Melissa is the best hair stylist I have ever been to. She cuts, styles, colors, and highlights my hair. She spends quality time making sure everything looks perfect before she is done. The cut and color she does looks so natural and gorgeous. She is extremely kind and makes sure I feel pampered every time. Every time I leave the salon I feel so confident and beautiful! I love the work she does so much that I have my boyfriend go see her as well for his hair cuts! I would never go anywhere else, I found my hair girl for life! YOU MUST GO SEE HER!!!

Since we first arrived in Asheville, Melissa has done an absolutely amazing job for both my wife Jamie and myself. She's thoroughly educated with men's and women's cut and color and has extensive knowledge and patience for your evolving style. She always keeps me looking professional for work and does fantastic job making heads turn when my wife walks into a room. You owe it to yourself to look and feel like a rockstar and Melissa will do that every time!

I had a wonderful experience at Cheveux Salon!! I had a very specific vision for my hair and Christine made it happen! She is amazing at turning dark brown into beautiful light blonde, and look forward to being there regularly.
