I recommend this location for families with children and those that love nature. The indoor facility is unique with lots to see and explore. The children loved prancing around the great outdoors and the butterflies were extremely friendly which was a real treat. A great for the entire family.

Went to a foraging class and it was AWESOME!!! We're going to take the mushroom one too and keep looking for other events. It's about 40 mins from us but it was such a great day it's worth the drive!

Informative, exciting, fun, kind, funny! Just great staff and a GREAT class!

Beautiful walking trails, almost no incline so it’s good for all ages and abilities. Down by the bridge is a great spot for swimming in summer! The wooded area is fun for kids to play in. Lots of wooden walkways through the bogs make for excellent exploration.

A great spot to picnic and wander not too far from downtown. The nature center is small, but has a few fish tanks and some specimen drawers packed with interesting things, including a wide variety of pelts. The bathroom is clean, the staff are very good at answering kids' questions, and everything is free!

We were here for the Express purpose of swimming in one of the swimming holes. This is such a beautiful place. Swimming was hard because getting into the water was difficult for me. No sand beach areas. And for the record clothing was optional, found that out accidentally but who cares

We visited this park with a toddler and it was a lot of fun for him and for us. After wandering through the community gardens and marveling at all the amazing vegetables being grown (look but don't touch!) We followed the trail down toward the river. Nice outing!

Love the trails there . It was my first time there love the mountain view and all the flowers even has a river on the trail. A great example of natural at it best .hope to vist again someday in the fall when the leaves are turn color it has to be beautiful . There is a small garden on the property that you can see it had tomatoes and even pumpkins. It is my first time to Vermont, as I said it was beautiful there and very quiet place for walking and enjoying nature . It was a great Sunday activities.

We just walked one of the shorter trails that went by the Community Garden. We spent lots of time enjoying that! Paths are well marked and maintained. LOTS of walking/hiking choices.

Beautiful! I wish I had discovered this years ago! Their recent "Caterpillars" exhibit was wonderful, and the teachers/ experts were kind, knowledgeable, and willing to talk as much or as little as visitors were willing to listen.

I am absolutely going back.

I went with my spouse, and my two young children, ages 7 and a half and 5 and a half.

I was shocked to learn they do everything they do on less than 50 acres! A wonderful organization connecting people to the natural world. I still remember a school trip to the center on which we got to see a core sample taken from a tree so we could learn its age right there. You can't get that experience in a classroom, and it's been with me for more than 20 years.

Very cool place for people of all ages to discover all things nature. New modern building for presentations.
I was there for an evening owl banding presentation where they caught and banded two Saw-whet owls. We were up close and personal with the owls and the guy who was banding them answered everyone's questions. It was a great experience. They have plenty of other sessions. I volunteered for their BioBlitz last September and that was a great experience. I'm hoping to attend more events there and also do some more volunteering.

Excellent place for cross-country skiing. The trail next to the river is relatively flat and mild, while a few other trails go up the hillside and provide more elevation drop.

Excellent hiking, xc-skiing, and summer wading! The North Branch has something for everyone no matter the season. Moonlit snowshoeing, winter birding, summer hikes and dips in the river...NBNC is a local favorite!
