I’ve been shopping here semi-regularly for about a year and have always had a pleasant experience. The staff are knowledgeable and do a great job answering questions/offering suggestions. Two thumbs up.

I'm still pretty new to Vermont, and have had some not so great experiences at other dispensaries so far, but I love coming here! The staff is always super friendly, welcoming and helpful, and the atmosphere is very cozy!

First, it’s the people that work there. Friendly, knowledgeable, and go out of their way to make sure you feel valued and cared about. No. Really. Very good selection of all manner of cannabis. Good amount of high quality and high THC flower and…. Location is convenient whether you’re already in downtown Montpelier or driving in. There’s on the street parking up and down the block and a small parking lot right across the street. 20% medical discount and a new rewards program. Why haven’t you been there yet??? Check it out. This dispensary has bounced back from all the unfortunate flooding last year and shows its eclectic and down home Montpelier style. I was greeted by a very pleasant woman, (who turned out to be the owner), with a binder full of specific information on all the strains offered. Wow - comprehensive! Further, after a short technical discussion, she recommended trying the Wedding Cake strain. That turned out to be an excellent choice after the usual three puff test - medium rise time to the strain's "hello, I am here", then smooths out to a relaxed and energetic headset. I can support this being a CCC staff selection.

Of course, my attention was then diverted to the great selection of CBD herbal salves, etc. Again, the owner helps in selecting an Aro-Med product for pain relief. that also turned out to be an excellent alternative. Two scores in one day!

The absolute coolest dispensary I’ve ever been to. :) Love the aesthetic, and the two staff members that assisted us were super friendly and welcoming. Since we were on a short VT vacation and couldn’t take anything back home with us, we only purchased one package of edibles, but they were top notch (Snoozeberries!). The free stickers were fun, too. I was intrigued by the honey and oil, as the dispensaries here in Florida don’t sell anything like that. Highly recommend this place!

This place is awesome clean and neat with some of the best strains around. Staff is always smiling and willing to help! My go to dispensary in central VT.

Best shopping experience in all of Montpelier (along with Guy's Farm & Yard ;-))!!! You can feel the tension leaving your body as you enter this beautiful shop. Employees are so very helpful and kind. Fabulous selection of goodies + being able shop online and pick up my order allows me to have some fun and (try to) stay in budget because you will want to buy everything. Enjoy!

We are so very lucky to have this responsibly run, positively-minded, super cool spot right downtown! The concentration on smaller, local, regional farmers and confectioners is fantastic. The tenders are pros and very attentive to your needs and always have god (non-condescending, thoughtfully crafted ) words and suggestions. You will never feel intimidated or pushed around here!

Such an awesome addition to the town of Montpelier. Long over due. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Big variety of top shelf flower. Super cool bud bar, where they have a sample of a lot of their great strains so you can look at and smell the bud before you buy it.
I tried one of their top shelf strains of flower, “Chauncey” . Wow is all I can say.
Super strong and potent. Great for people that have trouble sleeping, or insomnia/anxiety.
The Jet fuel is also another one of my favorites. So many great selections and options.

Capital Cannabis has some of the most knowledgeable, friendly and professional bud tenders in Vermont.
Their selection is extensive, their prices are fair, and their store is welcoming.
When the Winooski River overran her banks in 2023 flooding them out of Montpelier, Capital Cannabis quickly regrouped and opened a satellite location in the Berlin Mall.
Capital Cannabis is Vermont Strong.

Best dispensary around the Barre/Montpelier area. Capital Cannabis provides you with a menu (like what you would see in a restaurant) with descriptions of each strand/product. They provide THC % and the effect the product causes. For example: sleep, creativity, increase thinking, and energy. The staff are highly professional. The store is classy and comfortable. Their options are extensive and pricing is lower than other dispensaries. I have been to another dispensary in barre, which was nothing like Capital Cannabis. To be honest, I would never go back. The place was thrown together, small, and no information provided on the products they sell. Besides their sad store front, the prices were HIGHER then Capital Cannabis.
Capital Cannabis will always have my business and I hope they make it through these hard times of the storm.
