Ambro's Roadhouse

Amazing taco salad on taco Tuesday.... it was so big it didn't fit in the to-go box! It tasted great! Highly recommend! Came with plenty of sour cream and salsa.

From greet to seat to eat it was a great experience. I enjoyed the fried tenderloin with fries. It was served on a fresh soft toasted bun with all the fixings. The veggies were fresh and crisp. The pork was perfect crunchy juicy and taste amazing. It was also a very large portion and that made it well worth the menu price. Our server was friendly and she knew the menu from top to bottom front to back. Can't wait to eat there again soon.

Great place for a good time. And by the way, Ambro's hamburger should've won best burger in Iowa. And their special cut fries are pretty darn good, too.
Update: I came back for lunch and got the breaded pork tenderloin sandwiche. It's a solid choice if you're looking for a tenderloin sandwich

Everyone at my table ordered a pork tenderloin. Both fried and grilled tenderloins were outstanding; when asked about the process, the waitress said they cut and pound their own fresh tenderloin .
I had a side salad with my Ambro's Protein Special, and all of the greens were crisp and delicious. I was shocked that the mushrooms were fresh, and that alone will keep me coming back.
I definitely recommend Ambro's for any meal of the day.
Morgan, the waitress, was friendly, timely, and knowledgeable.

Great small town atmosphere and a perfect breakfast. The make your own bloody Mary bar is great. They have them on both Saturday and Sunday mornings until noon.

We were looking for a nice location to meet family and saw the good reviews about this place. It didn't disappoint! We shared different dishes and all were good.

Nice place. The tenderloin sandwich was amazing. Fired pickles were good too.

Morgan was my server, she was so amazing and friendly. The food was so delicious! Good atmosphere, family friendly too! Inside and outside seating. Breakfast menu and kids menu too!
I had the loaded potato pouting, it was delicious!

Great Bartender and awesome cooking staff.. our food was delicious.. was to chalk out on the concrete.. that was cool.. Great company..

2nd time to eat here.. my chicken salad was nasty.. not enough of everything that goes in it.. it was just lettuce and chicken.. I was so upset.. the only thing that was good was the 🍄 mushrooms.. I should have not paid 12.00 for the salad. I'm just speaking te truth..

Tiny little biker bar off the i80. Maybe six tables but the place has a total vibe. Fun bar atmosphere, clean. Menu is tiny like the adorable bar but food was so good. Husband had tenderloin sandwich and I had buffalo blue cheese fries. High quality blue cheese on unique thick cut curly fries. Bar tender was on it with drinks and orders. Food came out fast. Worth a visit if your on a road trip

Kitchen had closed, but lady bartender turned grill back on. Cooked a wonderful meal! Sunday night, we came late from driving. AWESOME

The steak that I waited for so patiently all week was cooked to perfection. The service was perfect the atmosphere was great. So far I haven't had anything there that I didn't like. The reason that I waited all week for that steak was that it's a weekly special on Thursdays and I missed it the prior week. As long as I'm in town I'll be going to the Roadhouse.

Great venue in De Soto Iowa. Grew up in DeSoto and wish it would have been there back then! If you're in the area, stop by. Great staff, food and drinks

We were driving back from Des Moines and wanted to stop for a drink and some food. We came across Ambro's and was happy that we did! They were super busy for a Saturday lunch but the ladies were very helpful! And had smiles on their faces and happy to serve! We had some burgers that were DELICIOUS! And loved the seasoning on the fries! Yummy!! Great little place for food and drinks! And if it is a nice day...you can enjoy everything outside!

Fun little place right off the interstate. Got here just as they were opening to doors for breakfast and there was already a line! They got slammed all at once, but we got our drinks and order taken quickly. We got the Smothered Hashbrowns and Eggs Benedict. Food was hot and delicious. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend!

We happened upon this place on our way to a reunion and decided to give it a try. The entire place was quirky, but we'll thought out. Food was burgers. Waitress was friendly and food was good.

Enjoyed a pretzle bite starter and some wonderful breakfast poutine while listening to live music. Friendly service and enjoyable atmosphere.

Just stopped to have a drink after Christmas shopping. We didn't eat but I was told the food was very good and it looked like it. Hope to get back there soon when I'm out that way.

The Turkey Club, Bacon Club, Wings, and Burger were amazing. Thank you for the hospitality to my family on Saturday evening passing through Iowa.

This place is super awesome the food is beyond good and the staff Jessica and Morgan are super helpful. Service is quick and everything is very affordable.
I want to give a shout out to the magnificent cook anita !!!!
The wonton burger is really really good.
We are traveling from 3 hours away and have decided its worth driving back for.
Please if you haven't tried this place , it is a must.
