Tamper Cafe

Tamper is the coolest cafe in the greater Boston area. Lattes served up, amazing scones. Jason and the staff are great people. Awesome breakfast and lunch food: from the requisite avo toast, to the grain bowl, consistently delicious. Go here every day you can. We do.

My favorite cafe in Somerville- super nice staff, great food options (vegetarian friendly also), and fantastic lattes. Always a fun music selection playing and nice vibe as well. Highly recommend!

I loooved studying at Tamper when I was at Tufts. Such a great vibe with good music and friendly service.
The breakfast quesadilla is super flavorful, definitely my go-to order (albeit a little messy to eat). The avocado smash, egg on the mash, and egg sandwich are incredible too.
Their blueberry and chocolate chip scones are some of the best scones I’ve ever had.

Good espresso for dine in. Great coffee shop atmosphere. I liked having the option to use re-usable cups for dine in vs. disposable cups.

Our go-to spot for coffee, espresso, breakfast or lunch in the neighborhood. The staff and owner are wonderful. Highly recommend.

Loved this place. Such a treat. The salami and eggs were quite tasty with potato hash. The iced mocha was delicious. Will come back!

Love this place. The food is terrific, the people friendly, (both workers and clientele) and the hang is perfect for the start of one's day. The quality of the food is A1. Get the Zach attack with a side of bacon you won't be disappointed.

Nice lattes and also good food, which is a rare combo. Hours are short on weekends but can be a quiet spot in the week. Plus you can actually get your latte to stay, which is rare post Covid

Coffee tastes great! And they were willing to make a "babychino" for my granddaughter. I like the big wooden communal tables.

Cool space, reasonable prices for the area, and an absolutely bomb breakfast quesadilla. Cold brew is a 7/10, solid but not exceptional. Great spot to get breakfast and work on a laptop for a bit. Super friendly staff, too.

Could be better: More sweet food options.

Haven't actually tried this place yet although I will say I walked in to use the restroom and it seems like a legit low key place to relax get a bite to eat along with coffee while you are either searching for a comfortable down to earth and peaceful place to work at with your laptop or even better I always see tons of college students gathering here.

We've been coming here on and off for a couple years now. Very cute industrial atmosphere with a very friendly staff. The owner is often on site and you can tell he's putting his heart into. Very tasty food and drink, the bone broth was exceptionally good!

Food was fabulous for breakfast. Small restaurant but very good.

A friend referred Tamper to me and it's just a quick 2 min walk down the hill. It was worth every cold breath! Coffee amazing and the potatoes are to die for. Tamper is one of my favorite spots to stop for a quick or to jot ideas in my journal.
