Cafe Mangal

Met a friend for lunch today. Food was great as always. My tuna nicoise was delicious. My friend ordered tuna and avocado on greens. We love this place. The vibe is always pleasant and the staff is wonderful.

Cafe Mangal comes highly reviewed by both critics and us laypersons. The ambiance is great with a European/Istanbul feel. Great music and decor took me back to my days in Paris. The food is great with a modern cafe twist on Turkish ingredients. We had the Yengen and the Mozzarela panini. Highly recommend both of them. The baklava is moist and fresh and to die for. The bathroom is pristine and the entire restaurant is clean and welcoming. The staff was great and nice.

The only minor downside I would say is the bathroom decor is minimalist and doesn’t really have a concrete theme and yet overwhelms with the many accolades that the restaurant has won which seemed a bit much in the space. However, it is well stocked and clean.

Overall, it was an amazing dining experience that put us back into a small European cafe. 5/5

Food and atmosphere are great! Had a hummus salad and daily soup and both were so delicious and fresh! Roasted eggplant is just right and juicy! Will definitely come back again

We really enjoyed eating and spending some time here. The sandwiches and coffee were delicious with high quality ingredients. The staff was incredibly friendly and came to check on us a few times and asked a few questions. They even gave us a complimentary dessert to share!

Cafe Mangal is fabulous! The staff are great and the food is delicious. We got the warm goat cheese and vegetable sandwich which was so yummy! Everything is fresh and so good! Finished with some baklava, a great way to end the meal. You need to try it!!

Another review for Cafe Mangal Sept 27th. Another amazing experience for lunch. As always, the food is just as great as the friendly staff. Clean, beautiful atmosphere. The fresh roast beef sand with the perfectly ripe avocado was absolutely a masterpiece. The side salad that came with it was fresh, earthy, even the salad dressing made my tongue do dances. The executive chef even took the time to speak with me and made sure everything was perfect. Thank you to the staff and Mehmet! We'll be back for sure!

My Turkish friend brought me to Cafe Mangal for lunch today. This is such a lovely family-owned restaurant with a great atmosphere and very clean. The owner and staff were so friendly and the food delicious. I’m looking forward to going back for dinner next time.

The pear salad was absolutely amazing! My mother and I were here a couple weeks ago and we were absolutely blown away by the quality of the food and the atmosphere❤

Walking through the door of Cafe Mangal, I immediately said to my friend, "I already love it here." This feeling lasted the entire visit from the sensational menu offerings, the dining atmosphere, through interacting with the wonderful people who make Cafe Mangal the spectacular place that it is. It felt like I was on a vacation abroad to a wanderlust hidden gem. The food and drinks were an epicurean's delight adding to the uniqueness of this place. This experience has staid with me since dining there two weeks ago. I look forward to returning to Cafe Mangal again and again. Thank you!

I have loved going to Cafe Mangal for lunch, tea or coffee for the fresh food and comfortable, pretty, mediterranean atmosphere. Recently, we took out dinner. The food was superb and chef Mehmet met me at my car with our order and gave me clear instructions for warming the dishes. The instructions were printed on labels on the take out containers also. He then texted a few days later to check on how the dinner was. I can't wait to get dinner there again.

A nice quaint little place in Wellesley serving exceptional food. The service was top notch and the food was terrific. We were a group of 9 people and the restaurant accommodated us very nicely. We started off with the mezze platter. We got 4 types of dips(carrot, yoghurt, beet and hummus) and unlimited pita breads. We ordered kebabs, chicken thighs and halibut for the table. Vegetarian options are a tad less but amazing nonetheless. We got the tiramisu, caramel cremè bruleè, and the Hazelnut cake. Totally worth the price. The restaurant is BYOB, so you can get your wine or beer from outside.

Just had the most exquisite lunch at cafe mangal. Everything was excellent from the service to the food! Recommend trying the pear and goat cheese salad- can’t wait to go back!!

Best Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine. This is the 2nd time i have been here and both have been fantastic. I had a very unique lamb kofte, humus, and the most famous original Turkish baklava. Finished it off with Turkish tea. This was an amazing experience, great food and great atmosphere. A truly authentic taste. Thank you for the great hospitality.

This family-owned establishment is one-of-a-kind, hands-down. I have spent years eating at Café Mangal with my family because of the unspeakable hospitality, and delicate and flavorful preparation and taste of the dishes. Chef Mehmet provides the homiest and most personable experience, making us feel like we are welcomed into his home! My go-to #1 favorite is the Prosciutto and Arugula Goat Cheese Salad with Figs. It arrived and I was astonished by the presentation and the freshness of the entire meal. I live almost 45 minutes from Café Mangal but I will go out of my way any day to enjoy Turkish cuisine at Café Mangal!

Cute little place with self-seating. Menu is small (I only went for lunch, maybe dinner menu is bigger) but food is very delicious and on the healthy side.

The arugula salad with prosciutto and figs arrives looking more decadent than it has any right to be. It's delicious too, especially with the extra goat cheese added on.

Warm,consistent,fresh,quaint,real and cozy are all the adjectives that come to mind at this beautiful Wellesley restaurant . Besides I love any place that gives respect to a salad(great portions too) Only wish they would have more vegan soups and vegan choices in general . At present ALL their soups are non-vegetarian .
