I needed some sanding discs for a project that I was working on. There was plenty to choose from. 6", 5", as well as several different grits. I chose what I needed. The staff is very helpful and will help you select what you need for the job that you are working on. If it is lumber that you want, then the staffer can load in your vehicle. It is always a real pleasure to shop at Sticks and Stuff, in St. Albans, VT.

I've purchased from Sticks & Stuff many times over the years for projects around the house, both indoor and outdoor. I've always had a pleasant experience with them which keeps me coming back and recommending them to all of my friends in the area.

First lets talk convenience, obviously that's highly important in todays world. Having large materials delivered to my home is a wonderful convenience and even when I took delivery of dozens of 5/8" sheetrock, the driver helped me carry every piece into the building so it wouldn't be damaged by weather. That's great service at a price that is more than reasonable ($10 delivery!)

Now lets talk customer service. When we redid the flooring in our living room, the customer service through Sticks & Stuff was super helpful in explaining the differences in materials and brands which lead us to a product that was the right fit for us. When a transition piece was backordered at the manufacturer, Sticks & Stuff did a great job communicating the timeline so I could perform the work accordingly to ensure our living room was dismantled for the shortest time possible.

Finally, to the point of quality. Some other reviews are critical of the lumber quality.... I don't understand this. You order 100 pieces of construction grade timber and you get what you get. Regardless of where you order from, you're gonna have some that is twisted/bowed and its your job when doing the carpentry work to use it appropriately. Should you end up with some pieces that are unsatisfactory or unusable, Sticks & Stuff will work with you whereas the big box stores will give you a hassle.

There you have it - convenience, customer service and quality -- Sticks & Stuff hits the nail on the head. Pun intended!

I bought timbertech decking at sticks and stuff In St. Albans. First of all, Pierre was enormously helpful. He was smart and knowledgeable, and helped set me up right. After quoting a few options I price checked it against Lowe’s. He beat them pretty resoundingly and had better lead times. They offered to match after they knew they lost it but Lowe’s customer service is terrible. Pierre is busy too but he’s thorough and always calls back. He called as soon as it arrived to schedule a delivery, but it was a Friday and his soonest availability was Monday. I wanted to pick it up and install it over the weekend, but didn’t have a truck big enough. So listen to this! A guy named Stuart and another named Chris helped me set up a circular saw around back so I can cut the boards to fit in my truck and actually helped me the entire time! For free! This is a class organization and good representation of what it means to be in Vermont. Btw I love the new decking it’s beautiful.

We recently decided to do some home improvements including new flooring and painting as well as minor repairs. I had to make several trips to this store to get supplies and have been very happy with each visit.

For flooring, they were able to beat the prices of Lowe's, Home Depot and Lumber Liquidators for laminate flooring. Their install team also did a great job of laying linoleum in our two bathrooms.

For paint supplies, during checkout I was purchasing a paint bucket for a ladder. The clerk had us put it back and gave us a plastic coffee can to use at no cost.

For various parts and pieces related to small fixes, I had multiple people give excellent advice on the best option for our needs.

Very happy with the service here.

Cant say enough good things. From Jesse, DJ, Courtney, Louise and all the people up front, to Travis, Chad, Terry, and Pierre out back. they are amazing. they assist me with all my home needs evening advising more efficient ways to do things when I go out back the guys in the yard are quick and very courteous I will continue to get my needs met here at Sticks and Stuff.

Both my husband and I make almost daily trips to the store and are always more than happy with the service we are provided with. Louise, Pierre, Jesse, and even Todd out back is always there to help! Thank you for always greeting me with a smile!
