I recently stayed at Residence Inn by Marriott Boston Needham, and it was a fantastic experience. From the spacious rooms to the attentive staff, every aspect exceeded my expectations. The location was convenient, and the amenities provided made my weekend getaway truly memorable. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting the Boston area. Amazing place!

BEWARE. You'll get surcharged a $10 parking fee, which is not included in your invoice. This is unprincipled. This is not an inner-city other-agency lot. Should we also pay a fee for any recycling bins on the property? Or a bathroom charge in the dining area? Or a rental fee for using the luggage carrier?
Shame on your Marriott for scrounging nickles and dimes/
5's and 10's.

Really nice service! Good experience with expectations set vs other options in area and based on prior reviews. In particular: such nice front staff. I only interacted twice but walked by few times and heard others complimenting them as well. I think many of the guests aren’t the type to be online, so perhaps skewed perception from below? hotel itself was nice lobby, clean, decent room, very quiet (compared to residence and Sheraton down street), and surprisingly good breakfast- so much better than homewood - residence inn had the expensive Greek yogurt in both brands, and full array of options for adults and kids and mostly equivalent to what you’d chose for yourself for breakfast. Ironically only comment I overheard was a man asking for bread for toast (there were bagels and nice English muffins instead), so a package of bread could be easy solution there haha. Also some grandparents waiting on waffle maker for a while- I bet adding in another hot station ready made of pancakes would be a hit but generally amazing and better than cafes!

In terms of location: I’m local (went for night just to get work done), so was all good for me, and most know what to expect or there for reason. I do think would go long way for random grandparents type guests to have clear walking paths to cutler, Panera etc (I crossed paths with an old couple who were sent to a sub place from front desk that was shuttered end of July.. 5 months ago… I didn’t want to contradict but I did inquire to front desk after they walked away hotel hadn’t been informed of their closing, and that person mentioned she had last week off lol… but she was so nice so not her fault.) Again, the couple wasn’t even upset, they had adventure. Everyone seems to love the staff there since they are so nice to the guests (was my experience as well), so perhaps just managerial effort to put together better recs, particularly since lots of nicer older couples trying to walk locally (which is tough but doable).

Overall:
Check in and check out- super easy and nice.
Food: better than residence inn and non-existent options at Sheraton on same street.

Tips to management to set yourself apart from local competitors and repeat clients: upgraded TVs that link to Netflix etc like other spots; a day pass option (was flexible for late checkout but given nature of folks stay in that area, I noticed many around till 5-6, so could have one for $25 for extension of overnight guests till 6 on vacant room, or $50 a day for a 10am-6pm (or 12-8) on empty rooms (seems to be many!) I know it’s cleaning service issue but would incrementally increase revenue overall (especially for locals with pool… which sat empty till 4pm…).

Another idea: a hybrid “room service” option (just partner up few lunch spots like Pressed cafe, Panera, and few on that strip that aren’t walkable for a hybrid model of them placing the order through u, u do Grubhub or Uber eats order, charge to them, and have driver bring up to room? Again - think lots of folks feel isolated there if don’t know area so may help. Could offer Spiga and district 118 for dinner (partnership with taking small cut for increased revenue of deliveries there? No extra staff needed).

Anyway, again, these just ideas for future.

Overall, this is great spot for travelers coming to area. I usually like Homewood better, but comparing the two on the street- this one was superior in terms of breakfast, front desk staff, flexibility, room noise level, respectful guests, and lots of potential!

Arthur the night audit was a great person to have a conversation with. I was able to really enjoy talking about my hotel job and other topics of conversation such as how he enjoys his hotel job. He is a hard dedicated worker who is very attentive to guests needs and always offers help. He goes above and beyond the job requirements and I would love to be able to see him again. He made the stay very enjoyable.

Stayed at this location for eight nights and had excellent service. Room was convenient to a lot of restaurants and shops and laundry is available. Wonderful front desk staff, friendly and welcoming. I wanted to say special thank you to Shirley Michel who not only ensured I had breakfast & some snacks for my long journey back home. But she gave me some encouraging words.

We had a great stay although we did find the location to be a little bit far from restaurants, convenience stores and sites of interest. Our room was well-appointed and comfortable. Our only complaint was that we had unruly and loud neighbors for our last night. Once reported to the front desk, staff did attempt to deal with the other guests. I would recommend this location with the caveat that a rental car or Uber is essential for travel if you don't arrive by private vehicle.

My family and I, including our 1-yr stayed here for an extended stay - about 45 days. Throughout of stay the staff was always considerate and helpful. There’s an endless stream of positive words I can use to describe the team - from supportive, to caring, to proactive. We felt at ease with the team - they really made our stay very pleasant. Thank you Artem, Michael, Claudia, Louisa (spelling?) and I can’t recall the other team member’s name - i believe her name starts with an “S”. I will update the review when I have her name

The room was suitable for us. Comfortable and as expected. Loved having the sink/kitchenette. The only comment to go from great to perfect regarding the room - and this is true for any hotel with carpets - is that carpets are just very difficult to deep clean. You can vacuum, which the hotel did many times. That said, I hope all Marriott brands do away with carpets and make it easier for the room to be in pristine condition

We reserved a block of rooms at this hotel for a large group flying in from all over the country for work. We were greeting by Jennifer at the front desk and she got us all checked in but there was an issue with one of the reservations. Jennifer went above and beyond to make sure the issue was resolved. Throughout the week she took care of all of our needs and did so with the greatest attitude. Jennifer is definitely an asset to Marriott as she worked so hard and made it a point to make sure we all had a great time there. The hotel was nice and clean and we enjoyed the lounge area. We had a great stay and I definitely would stay again.

The staff made the whole experience just beautiful. We arrived super late and were exhausted due to delayed flights and Mr Arthur B helped us with literally everything to make sure we felt right at home. Ms Sara A also helped us in our entire stay to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of properly as i was not feeling too well. With their hospitality and going out of way, both of them deserve promotion. Highly recommended hotel!

Clean, very large room that was tastefully decorated. It was very nice to have a full kitchen in the room, and I have used it multiple times. The bathroom is nice and good shower. I wish the bathroom had a few more amenities such as more soaps and maybe a grooming kit, but it wasn't massively missed. The breakfast is quite good, however it was pretty difficult to get healthy options. Overall good hotel and I enjoyed my stay!

Weekend stay. Great breakfast options. Helpful staff. Clean room. It was a great stay. The location is close to the city but without the high price. If you drive to the city, parking at Post Office Square was a perfect location to get to everything on the north end. $9 a day on Sat/Sun.

I was very impressed. Clean and updated room. Staff was extremely friendly. Nobody slamming on the door early in the morning to clean the room like some of the others I stayed at. Breakfast was all that I could ask for when it's complimentary. I travel to the Boston area quite often for business and this hotel will be my choice.

The people who work here are all great (pay them more!) but especially Michael at the front desk. He was extremely friendly and helpful with a problem that was not even the hotel’s fault. Clean rooms and excellent shower pressure too. Will stay again.

Stayed here very, very recently. Artem the front desk manager was extremely polite, professional, courteous, friendly, accommodating and totally committed to providing me with the highest level of customer assistance possible. This hotel is very new as it was only completed a couple of years ago. It is an attractive looking hotel in keeping in line with the high level of craftsmanship I have come to expect from J.W Marriott. The room was a studio king. The Room was positively immaculate and spotless. The Kitchen was exceptionally clean and well equipped with every possible kitchen utensil you could want. lots of cabinet space for food. The Fridge was very modern and very large. The freezer was larger than I expected and was pleasantly surprised by that. The bathroom was very nice with plenty of towels. The huge walk-in shower was nice, too. The Room has a nice big screen TV with a remote control. There is a nice big couch and a small work station area in the living room, too. Plenty of lighting all the way around and the room had an overall high level of comfort. The Huge king size bed was well equipped with plenty of large comfy pillows. The bed sheets were clean and comfortable, too. Only downside to this place was the lack of room service. Also, there is plenty of close parking near the hotel entrance. Continental Breakfast specials are available in the morning as well. I do highly recommend the Residence Inn by Marriott Boston Needham.

I booked my room through the Marriot Bonvoy app. Very easy and efficient. Checked in as well with the app. Went in to get the room keys and was greeted by Shirley at the desk. She was very friendly and professional. Got our keys in less than a few minutes. Room was very clean and neat. They have breakfast, very good assortment, in the morning which was very good as well. Definitely will be back.

Very nice place to stay. It's seems to be in a developing area. The service is the best that I have seen post COVID-19

I will absolutely put this on my list of top places to stay the next time that I am in the Boston/Needham area.
