For the price I paid, the washer and dryer worked fine, the room was properly heated, and all common areas were clean. Thank you for the stay I really enjoyed the service!

Great value. The rooms are older and mostly shared bathrooms. Kitchen has cooktop, microwave and sink which is great. Lots of stores nearby. Staff is helpful and polite.

We came here for the purpose to check out Harvard University on a road trip. The front desk person was really nice! I had a last minute family issue and the front desk person was more than accommodating. We spent around a hundred bucks and got a private room. The rooms are old, but it’s an old city. 🤷‍♂

People who are saying this place is overpriced - in some places AirBNB fees are nearly half of what this place costs per night. The economy sucks and inflation has made everything expensive. I thought this was pretty fairly priced for what it was - and thought it was a great value for what we came here for!

As a college student, the location was great, and the staff was very nice. I traveled with a friend and I stayed one night.

Excellent service even at late hours. The little touches like the snack fund and decor were charming. Staff are polite and very helpful. Pet friendly was a lifesaver when no other options were available. Rooms are clean and well-kept. Also appreciated the flexibility of later checkout options. Would absolutely recommend.

Great service - always clean and amenities are more than sufficient for the modest price. Room was very comfortable and a great alternative to a hotel, especially considering the area is very nice with amazing restaurants and stores all nearby. Definitely will be coming back.

I agree with most of the other reviews, the great host is one of the best aspects of this property. Great job! Loved the available snacks and cold water bottles and the snack fund idea! I recommend this place for a quick stay in Boston either solo or for a couple.

Amazing location and incredibly friendly staff. Anything we asked for, the Inn was able accommodate us with efficiency and friendly smiles. I highly recommend staying here, you wont regret it!

The staff was very friendly, welcoming and accommodating! This place is a must stay if you want to be near all that Allston has to offer, AND at an affordable price! The building was rustic, quaint, and a breath of fresh air compared to the bustling atmosphere of Cambridge or Commonwealth Avenue. I would urge anyone with an adventurous spirit to indulge in a few nights at this hidden gem. Could not have been more satisfied!

Great value for the price. Did not see anything remotely comparable around. Friendly and caring staff. Fair rooms in a nice setting. All very clean. Unbeatable price. My 1st choice if I go back to Boston for vacation again.

Relatively low price. Great location. Have parking behind building but check if not full. Parkings, first come first serve basis. Stuff very nice and helpful. For the price room is nice. Has small kitchen with microwave and sink. See pictures for details. Has bathtub with sink and toilet in area with door from the kitchenette. If you have forgotten a toothbrush, toothpaste and the like, just ask and most likely they have something to give you 😀. As I said stuff is nice. Best to check online before arriving to get the lowest price possible.

Nice place! Staff is absolutely friendly and able to help anytime, even at 4AM. My room is small but cute quiet and cozy with all this old style furniture and I do have a bathroom in it (though there's no shower gel or something like that, bring yours). Good location, easy to find.

I stayed here when in Boston a few years back. It is the oldest hotel in the city, but you wouldn't know it. It's a very nice place, and there are so many cool stories they'll tell you if you ask about how it's haunted. The lobby is absolutely stunning. The rooms are spacious and clean. It's right in the middle of the city and in walking distance to Fanueil Hall and other sights.

This very accommodating hotel/ guest house is in a beautiful quiet neighborhood. Away from the city noise. I was so fortunate to come across this quaint little place. Good for students on aa budget and travelers who come to town on a regular basis. I enjoyed my short say. I was able to get the rest and relaxation I so needed.

Even though the neighbourhood is a bit out of the way from downtown Boston, I absolutely loved staying here. It's nothing fancy; a modest little inn with shared bathroom, but it's well worth the price (especially as a last minute booking!). The rooms are spacious and ours came with a microwave and a mini fridge, as well as a tv, air conditioning, and comfortable beds. The guy behind the front desk was lovely and accommodating, and even gave us a bigger room when he saw I had accidentally booked one with a single bed for both my grandmother and I.

It was easy to find local amenities, and the WiFi was very decent. All in all it was warm and dry, and completely worth the price compared to other hotels in Boston which cost upwards of $200 a night at the last minute! If I ever come back to Boston, I'll surely give this place a longer go!

Couldn't beat the location or price for a busy weekend. We were able to use p iui blic transport to get us everywhere from here. The furniture is dated, and the beds are not cozy, but after long days of standing and walking around it qorked great for the 6 of us. Plenty of space for us to wind down together in the evenings. Do not rent this room if you do not like shared spaces, or expect polish or luxury.

Old hotel with a historic feel. This was the nicest, biggest place I've stayed in on a budget EVER! Great staff, made my first experience in Boston fantastic! (First experience of snow on the stairs wasnt so pleasant tho 🙃👍)
