Bamboo Garden Wok 'N' Grill

Finally got around to trying out the New and Improved Bamboo Garden Wok N Grill. Everything was fantastic, from the sushi to the hot sour soup, walnut shrimp appetizer and all of the main dishes. The sushi was better than any sushi place I have been to in Cedar Park area. The waitress Krysthel was very kind, caring and friendly and so were the owners who we found out used to live near us in Pasadena California as well as near my sister in Weatherford Texas, small world. We will be back and very soon. A+ Guys!

Went to the new Bamboo Garden in Lago Vista the other night. We ordered chicken in garlic sauce and combo lo mein with added extra vegetables. They were great portion sizes and oh soo delicious!!! The chicken in garlic sauce was just the right amount of spice(heat) and bursting with flavor. Service was fabulous and atmosphere was also nice. There were a lot of people dining. I will definitely be making this a regular stop. Being able to bring in a bottle of wine was also wonderful. Can’t say enough good things about our experience!!

We’ve tried the Kung Pao Chicken, Garlic Chicken & Beef, Pad Thai & Egg Drop Soup. All fantastic & full of flavor. Also had Pork & Canbage Dumplings & tried the Fried Chicken Dumplings… all my family & friends absolutely loved them. So glad to have a good family restaurant with great food in our local town!!

Wow! The food was absolutely amazing! My family and I ordered takeout for lunch. Each one of us ordered a different dish. We were all very happy with our meal.

Carol is so friendly and detailed, very attentive so as the servers, very friendly too, food is excellent and we have ordered garlic chicken and beef, broccoli and bbq pork , broccoli beef, tonkotsu ramen, Phoenix chicken , the best wonton soup that we have ever tasted , don’t forget to try the pork and cabbage dumplings and cream cheese wonton , they are the best and you will not be disappointed, we have 12 people and they took care of us so nicely.

Love Carol and John, the owners. They are so nice and the food is so good. The owner sat down with us giving us food to try, she is a super sweet lady. I was highly satisfied with the food. All the food and sauce is made from scratch. They do a phenomenal job. 10/10. I recommend trying the ramen, orange chicken, or the Mongolian beef.

As a frequent patron of this restaurant, I feel compelled to offer a different perspective on the dishes mentioned in previous reviews.

Firstly, regarding the wonton soup, I've always found it to be a delightful surprise. The abundance of fresh vegetables, contrary to being a downside, adds a nutritious and flavorful twist to the traditional wonton soup. The presence of large shrimp is an added bonus, enhancing the soup's overall quality and value. While traditional wonton soup is simpler, this restaurant's take on the soup with added vegetables and shrimp represents a fusion approach that many customers, including myself, appreciate.

Concerning the combo fried rice, I agree that it is indeed good - a point where both reviews align. The rice is consistently well-cooked, and the combination of ingredients strikes the right balance between flavor and texture.

The Mongolian beef here is, indeed, priced higher than what one might find at fast-food chains like Panda Express. However, it's important to consider the context. This restaurant isn't a fast-food establishment but a quality dining venue where the price reflects not just the dish but the overall dining experience. In fact, given the caliber of the ingredients, I would argue that the Mongolian beef is, if anything, underpriced.

This dish consistently features tender, well-seasoned beef and a savory, slightly spicy sauce that's unique to this establishment. It's a standout item, and when compared to similar dishes at other quality restaurants, the price is quite reasonable. It's a classic case of getting what you pay for!

Now, to address the service aspect: there's one waiter who, despite being friendly and enthusiastic, tends to over-engage with customers. He often approached me to share his thoughts on various topics, like his views on chopsticks or the restaurant's business, and his repetitive use of "my man" was quite noticeable. I'd like to clarify that he wasn't my waiter; my actual waiter provided excellent service. While the chatty waiter's intent to add a personal touch is appreciated, a more subdued approach might be more suitable for guests who prefer a quieter dining experience. It's important for staff to gauge and respect the customers' interaction preferences.

Overall, this is a minor issue compared to the high-quality food and lovely ambiance of the restaurant. It's just a small suggestion for an otherwise exceptional dining experience.

Really enjoyed Bamboo Garden. The orange beef was very tasty and generous portion. Also had the scallion pancake and it was very good. Wife had honey walnut shrimp and fried rice. Enjoyed it and it was a very generous portion as was the fried rice. Wait staff was knowledgeable and helpful. Service was great and delivery of our food was excellent. We will definitely be going back to try more of their menu.

New owners and the place is fantastic. Food never disappoints

This place is completely different with a lot of great new options. I love the colorful decorations and the service is the top notch. Ramen! Sushi! And my favorite Kung Pao! This place has it all!!! It's perfect for groups, dates, and family outings. Hands down the best place to eat in Lago.

The best fried rice (combo of shrimp, beef, and chicken) I've ever had. Young waiter may be training. Forgot silverware. Restaurant decor simple but very clean. Will definitely go back.

The Bamboo Garden Wok n Grill restaurant owners are very friendly and attentive to detail. I recommend this Chinese restaurant if you want delicious food in Lago Vista.

I am so happy that the new "Bamboo Garden Wok-N-Grill" finally has a real Chinese chef.

We had the spicy beef noodles soup, broccoli beef, chicken in garlic sauce (added mushrooms to it), walnut shrimp, and potstickers. All were made to perfection. The potstickers, dumplings, and BBQ pork buns are made from scratch in-house, not from a package in the freezer isle. That is so difficult to find anywhere in the Austin area. I can't wait to go back and try the other Chinese dishes.

The previous restaurant in this space, "Wok N Grill", was run by Koreans and a Hispanic chef. I disliked their goopy food, drowned in sweet sauce. Koreans don't know what Chinese food is.

They’re steamed dumplings, egg rolls, and Pho Tai are so good !
