Best Western Green Oak Inn & Suites

I spend about 10 days per month in a hotel and mostly stay at BW locations. I stayed in this hotel for two nights on a business trip and had a great experience. My room looked recently updated and was clean and quiet, even though it was right near the elevator.

It’s a 30-40 minute drive to San Antonio and was much more affordable than the hotels in the city. There are basic fast food places near by, and it’s close to the highway. The location felt safe and had free parking.

The breakfast was pretty standard for best western— eggs, bacon or sausage, bagels and muffins, a waffle maker, some fruit, cereal/oatmeal, and yogurt. The only disappointment there was that I can’t have milk, and there weren’t any non-dairy milk alternatives like I’ve seen at most other BW locations I’ve visited.

Very large rooms. Front desk staff were helpful. Plenty of secure parking.

I haven't stayed here but many family members and coworkers have and they all say it's a good hotel and I have seen the inside of the rooms. They're up-to-date and comfy and the staff are very accommodating and respectful. Good place to stay if you're in Lavernia or anywhere nearby.

This was one of the cleanest, nicest and most friendliest staff and hotel we have stayed at. The breakfast was amazing and good. Jay was very friendly and wonderful. Any concerns we had he address them very attentive to having a awesome hotel stay. Thank You for making our anniversary weekend stay wonderful.

Stayed one Friday night for an early morning Saturday volleyball tournament. Easy to find. Plenty of parking. Fast food, restaurants, and HEB within a stone's throw. Clean room. My mom forgot her toothbrush and after calling the front desk had one delivered to her door in less than 5 minutes. Hot brkfst, helpful staff.

Great little town to stay in. We were passing through and decided to stay a night on the outside of San Antonio. The lady at the front desk was super friendly and funny.Everything was great the bed was huge and the room was super clean. Me and my boyfriend will definitely be coming back again!

Was pleasantly surprised how nice hotel was. Fairly new and offers free breakfast which has scrambled eggs, sausage patties and links, make your own waffles, also cereal, yogurt and fruit. Room has microwave and fridge, nice large bathroom, and great view of cow pasture. Beds were not the most comfortable and rate was much higher than average so gave 4 stars. They are the only hotel in La Vernia so it was convenient.

Still a great place to stay!! Staff is always welcoming and friendly. I come here twice a year. This place is always quiet, clean, and comfortable. Jay and his staff always go above and beyond to make your stay great.

Jay, the Manager of the Best Western Hotel in La Vernia, TX, was AWESOME!!! I was exhausted from traveling, and my husband had went to bed early in our room, locking our door with the bolt lock. I was locked out, and it was the middle of the night! Jay was so patient and kind in my moment of frustration and distress- he came up to our room, and bypassed the locked door to get me into my room so that I could get just a few precious hours of sleep. It was the middle of the night, and still I was greeted by him with friendliness, cheerfulnes, and kindness!

Also, shout out to Gina, the Head of Housekeeping at this location! I always travel with my own bedding because I never sleep in the sheets/bedding at hotels- except for this one!!! It is so clean, so well maintained, and so prestine that I didn't even need my own bedding 🎊🎉🎈🎉🎊 Whatever you're doing in your work & with your staff Gina, keep it up! Excellent work!!!!!

A great place for a good price. Spent six days there while visiting family. Close to HEB and some fast food places, limited but decent breakfast choices. Any issues we had were taken care of with in the day. Thanks...see y'all again .

I have stayed in a lot of different hotels in the past 25 years. This place is the cleanest and well kept hotel by far. I can't quit smelling the pillows and bedding it is like being home. I will only come to this place if I'm in San Antonio'

Great staff, modern look & amenities. Very well maintained rooms, great fitness room & a pool. Only thing missing was a hot tub!
