Labemi's Tavern & Restaurant

I used to always call LaBemi's the hidden gem of Crystal Lake restaurants.
They had a short decline for a while but they're on their way back up ..!

For those of us who enjoy Old Uptown Crystal Lake, there's nothing like these restaurants, taken ya back in time, in quaint old buildings Off the Corporate corridor on Route 14...

Our fave dive bar. Surprisingly good food. German night is great! Bartenders pour em stiff.

Great place to grab a bite to eat, has a nice out door patio where you can enjoy the beautiful weather too.

I love a good dive bar, and Labemi's did not disappoint. I also very much appreciate the tactful way the bar staff handled the gentleman, if I can call him that, who needed to be cut off. I will definitely be back!

Food is very good, but the waitresses are the absolute best! Especially that Judy! Ask for her on Saturday nights and tell her "Joe & Connie said you were the best!💖"

Came here to leave a nice review on the German food and service, was shocked to see a bad review below. My husband and I just moved to the area and we’re enjoying dinner Wednesday night when a belligerent man was cursing and yelling that a mixed drink is a dollar more than a shot. When the bartender, Tiffany, explained that to him he got even more rude and boy were we happy she asked him nicely to leave.
We would love to come back and try more delicious food but hope that customers like him are not the regulars. Great food and great bartender!

Used to go here regularly with friends. Was and still is a nice local pub and eatery. Good food and service. Friendly atmosphere. Just as I remembered.

Always my go to spot in downtown crystal lake. They have by far the best staff in town and that goes a long way.

Chaz is the best! I had an amazing 21st birthday experience and made a lot of friends. highly recommend. very fun and welcoming atmosphere, even as a complete newcomer just turning 21.

Best bar in McHenry County by far!! Great service, cool atmosphere and when their kitchen is open, their food is fantastic!!! Highly recommend stopping at this hidden gem when you are in Crystal Lake!!!

Nothing like the bars in Ohio! Great time

Best bar to grab a quiet drink during the week with a couple friends. The bartenders are super nice and knowledgeable. The food is amazing as well! Been coming here for years and have no plans on stopping. Great place to hang out and catch up with friends in a warm environment!

This is a local watering hole. I had never been in the tavern side of the establishment, only in the restaurant. The food is excellent but the tavern side is fun as well! The bartenders were gracious and attentive. Great little place! I will definitely go back.

Fun, fast comfortable and live music made the Prime Rib special a great find and plan to return for German specialties on Tuesday and Wednesday! Everything was welcoming for my first visit to this classic little restaurant! Continues to be a favorite with consistently friendly staff and good food and drink!

Great food, great service...No place better in town!

Good atmosphere, good drinks, good food.

This is one of the best places in Crystal Lake to drink. The service is genuine and the crowd is generally up beat and outgoing. It's right in the downtown area and close to the train station, so if you gotta catch a ride, your with in a stones throw. Plus, there's​ food and that makes it a great meeting spot.

I enjoy the people that work there but I'm unsure of the price increase. I understand they have to make money but 2$ seems high over the course of a few months I mean why not make it 50 cents or 1 dollar instead of 2 it's a bit of a turn off. I can buy a six pack of my favorite beer for the amount i spend on 1 beer. Other places are less expensive for the same beer.

Comfortable atmosphere in the best way. Everyone there seems like close friends. They can joke and banter but nothing turns sour. Great prices and professional bartenders.
