This place cannot be beat. I have been coming back for years. Amazing view on Fox Lake. The food is outstanding ! The salsa is to die for!! The molé is perfection. The service is always terrific. Never disappointed.

Excellent service, plenty of outdoor seating by the lake and ample food. Good food and drinks, great selection. One of my favorite Lakeside dining locations in Lake Country or Illinois for that matter. Did I say reasonable pricing? You’ve got to try them!

Every time I come here my experience is always positive! The food comes fast and tastes extremely good. Alcoholic beverages are also top notch with excellent margaritas and other mixed drinks. Service also didn’t disappoint with my waitress being very kind and professional. Definitely give this restaurant a try!!

Love this place! It's definitely a hidden gem. I ordered the steak taco salad, and it was delicious! The photo is the view if you sit outside!

Saul and his staff are always polite and very friendly. Service is quick and the portions generous. Great atmosphere and a large outdoor patio with great views of the piers and lake.

We had a great time here! It was out first time and love the ambiance, food and the service. We sat at their outdoor area and enjoying some amazing drinks while watching power bots passing by. Will defiantly come for more.

Fast, friendly, and quiet. Service was slow, but we hit them right at the lunch rush. Boat slips are tight, bring your bumpers, but they can dock 50 boats.

They have outside seating as well as inside dining and bar. Relaxed atmosphere. Right on the lakeshore. Super friendly service, it feels home. Great food. Perfect for a romantic date night away from the city.

Food is definitely authentic and the atmosphere is enjoyable and most of all relaxing. By any chance did I leave my plaid jacket there on Oct 3, 2023

We've been coming to El Puerto since it opened more than 20 years ago. We have never been disappointed in the food or the service. Saul runs a great place.

Food was excellent, location is great and our server Jose was very friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend the outdoor patio when the weather allows for it.

We had a wonderful time at El Puerto. All the staff was quick to serve and all smiles. The food and drinks were top notch and quickly served. The outside seating is spacious and right on the lake. Great sunset view. We would recommend El Puerto for great food at a reasonable price and great service and great atmosphere. Thank you!

Love El Puertos patio. Food and service are amazing and quick. If you're docking a boat on the piers, I recommend having additional bumpers since the lake can be pretty rough occasionally in that area

Great hidden spot. The food was delicious and the location on the water was beautiful.

Only ate here once, but this place has the best eating location in Mchenry County. On a “peninsula” in Fox Lake looking over the water is a perfect spot to relax after work, a romantic evening, or on your boat in the marina on site.

Parking was the main issue for me. Felt a bit congested. But if you got a boat, park in the marina and get some takeout!

A fantastic place to go either in your car or if weather permits a boat. Being able to dock and walk up and have dinner is amazing. The food was fantastic, but the flavored margaritas were to die for. I suggest strawberry because they use real fruit inside it.
