Springfield Dirksen Parkway Illinois Secretary of State Facility

The front lobby attendant is very knowledgeable. I like that they check to make sure you have all the requirements before they'll let you in. That way, you don't waste your time and their time going in to find out your requirements are incomplete. The waiting area is clean and has enough chair spacing for people to keep their distance from each other and stay safe from the pandemic. Staff is very friendly. I have my toddler with me, and they gave her a coloring paper and crayons to keep her occupied while I finish my transaction in a timely manner. Which is awesome! Great customer service! That is why I chose this branch even though I have to drive a little further from my house. It's totally worth it!

TEMPORARILY CLOSED! This is usually my preferred DMV in Springfield, but they are temporarily closed. They still have a location on Klein and one now on Wabash. I ended up going to the Wabash location and it was a quick and easy trip!

I forgot to get my sticker on the 1st, had to be in Springfield at 10 so I looked up directions to the DMV and was so surprised to find they had a drive thru, it was great, took less than 5 minutes, the man at the window said it was the last day for it, 😪

I must've lucked out... took my daughter to get her permit & to renew my license & we were in & out. No wait time at all. Representatives were extremely knowledgeable & helpful.

I had a blast with my family in Springfield. The pool was heated and nice. The beds were super comfy and the staff catered to me like I was a King!!
Will be my go to hotel when I come to Springfield for now on.

As pleasant as a trip to the DMV could be. Security out front was very friendly. Inside both the lady calling out ticket numbers and the gentleman that renewed my DL were as polite as they could be.

This place is temporarily closed due to construction. Would have eyes going to the West Wabash. Also Kline Street location is closed on Monday

We had excellent, friendly service from everyone we encountered from start to finish!! Being new to the area this was our first experience at a Springfield DMV. We had multiple tasks to accomplish; renew DL and get Real IDs, change addresses, change voter registrations and get a sticker for our SUV. We did have to set for awhile but with all people being served that was to be expected. Everyone was so friendly and helpful!!!

It's nice you can renew your plate sticker at the drive through window, eliminating the need to get out of your car.

Nothing like the experience at Chicagoland DMVs. The process is pretty much the same: state your business, receive a number and wait to be called. The difference being this facility is easily 2 times faster, even at lunch hours!! Also everyone on interacted with was helpful AND friendly.

Good experience. They are organized. 20 people in line for DL renewals, but for what I needed, I was in and out in 5 minutes.

Called to see about renewing my CDL after closing of local offices due to COVID (expires on Thanksgiving). They couldn’t have been more helpful. They assisted me in renewing my CDL online. I want to thank them. Extremely nice, super professionalism and very prompt!!

Everyone here was so nice. Specially Diane (seat #5). They were very welcoming and we didn't feel intimidated by them like in Aurora or Naperville. Great experience, great staff.

I really didn't think I would ever say this but this service facility is fantastic. Quick and pleasant service and somehow everyone was in a good mood. Two things I have never had at a DMV. Ever.

Well organized in this pandemic time, efficient and courteous staff. Be patient and prepared for long wait . Carry umbrella with you , if there is rain in forecast 😀

Best DMV in the state. I drive 30 minutes just to use it. Faster to drive and come here then wait at Decatur DMV.

Wish we had a DMV this great in Rockford! The lady was hella polite and my new plates were mail to me in a HAND ADDRESSED ENVELOPE! Keep it up!

I probably sit maybe 20 minutes then I got my picture taken and then I paid and I was out of there it was good experience

Beautiful building and great customer service and it didn't take hours for me to take care of the business I was there to handle
